Employees of Pulte Mortgage Presented with MBA Opens Doors Foundation Community Champion Award

WASHINGTON, D.C. (October 25, 2015) - BOSTON, MA (October 25, 2016) - Today, the Mortgage Bankers Association (MBA) announced that the employees of Pulte Mortgage, are the recipients of the MBA Opens Doors Foundation Community Champion Award.  The award recognizes those who have dedicated significant time and effort to advance the foundation's mission to enable families with a critically ill or injured child to keep their home, even in the face of significant medical bills.

"This award was created in 2013 to recognize an individual who has dedicated significant time and effort to advance the Foundation's mission," said David H. Stevens, CMB, President and CEO of MBA and a member of Opens Doors Foundation's Board of Directors. "This year the Foundation is honoring a group of individuals- the employees of Pulte Mortgage- whose collective efforts have set a high standard for diverse, creative support of the Opens Doors mission. While their CEO has led the MBA Opens Doors Board of Directors since its inception, the employees of Pulte Mortgage have demonstrated their company-wide commitment to getting everyone involved in the Foundation's work."

Activities benefiting the Foundation are directed by an employee-staffed committee which oversees a wide variety of corporate events.  These fundraisers have generated tens of thousands of dollars for Opens Doors over the past three years. 

Employees at Pulte Mortgage have staged more than one dozen events to support the Opens Doors Foundation in the past year alone, including a farmers' market, a 5K fun run/walk, office games, and charitable concerts.

In addition, Pulte Mortgage provides a monthly donation to the Foundation for every loan closed. Pulte Mortgage has made a multi-year donation commitment earning company recognition as an Opens Doors Foundation Guardian. Members of the Pulte Mortgage Senior Leadership Team accepted the award on behalf of the employees.



Opens Doors is currently able to pass on 100 percent of the donations it receives to families in need of assistance. Potential recipients of the grants are identified through the Foundation's ongoing relationship with children's hospitals in Washington D.C., Boston, Dallas-Fort Worth, Denver, Houston and now Northern and Southern California.
