Laura is the Assistant Director – Commercial Servicing Loan Operations at Principal Real Estate Investors. She is responsible for leading the operations team which is responsible for the processing and oversight of insurance, taxes, inspections, UCCs and disaster reporting. She is also responsible for leading the real estate administrative team which provides daily support to all of real estate. Laura serves as a liaison between IT and servicing. Laura joined the firm in 1996. She received an MBA in Business Administration from University of Iowa and a bachelor's degree in Finance/Communications from University of Northern Iowa. Laura is a vice chair of the Operations Group, previous chair of the Insurance and Risk Management Committee and a member of the Enterprise! User Advisory Board.

Grisela has over 22 years experience in the insurance industry. Prior to her career in the consulting sector, Grisela spent 17 years working on the Brokerage and Underwriting side of the business. Grisela has extensive experience working on Real Estate portfolios. This experience provides her with a practical understanding of how insurance coverages and related expenses impact the project economics, borrowers and lenders assets. Her latest client as an Account Executive on the brokerage side was Bloomberg's, The ShedNYC project in New York by the Hudson Yards. Grisela managed all the insurance in place, from ground‐up construction to the transition of fully operational coverage. With the success Grisela achieved through overseeing this project, she was offered an opportunity to move over to the consulting side of the business for multiple lenders where she strategizes and creates solutions for a successful closing by offering industry‐specific risk advisory and analysis where applicable. Grisela specializes in providing high‐level risk management consulting advice, including providing insurance due diligence and program reviews for Commercial Real Estate Balance sheet, CMBS, and SASB loans . Grisela has expertise assisting financial institutions and their loan origination teams evaluate the adequacy of the insurance programs of their borrowers to determine compliance with insurance requirements. Grisela holds an M.B.A. from Berkeley College and holds a Property and Casualty Brokers License.
Carina Johnson has been with Walker and Dunlop, LLC for over nine years and is part of the Senior Management team that services a $125 billion portfolio. As Senior Vice President of Insurance within the Servicing Department, she oversees the entire insurance compliance process from pre-closing to servicing compliance for HUD, Fannie Mae, Freddie Mac, Life Company and Bridge loans. Carina is an active member of the MBA and sits as a Vice Chair on the Servicing Council Committee. She specializes in Risk Mitigation, Insurance Compliance, and has played a key role in developing multiple insurance compliance applications. She has her B.A. in International Business, Economics, with a minor in Business Administration from Ohio Dominican University.
Irene Minderhoud is an Assistant Vice President with CBRE Capital Markets and specializes as a Loan Closing Manager for Multifamily Agency executions. Her primary responsibility is the management, coordination and closing of Freddie Mac, Fannie Mae and MF1 Bridge loans. Since joining the team, Irene has been instrumental in closing over 1,100 loans totaling $33.9 billion. Irene earned her Bachelor of Science degree in Finance from Trinity University and is currently pursuing her Texas Real Estate License.
