    Pam Cooper, CMB, Chief Financial Officer, Citywide Home Loans/CHL Mortgage

    Pam started her career in mortgage banking  over 30 years ago, personally experiencing the days of double digit rates and negative am loans while as an investor reporting clerk in Orange County, Calif in the 1980’s.  She took a 10 year break from mortgage loan accounting to work for Deloitte in their financial services practice, returning to her roots in 2006 as VP Finance at Home American Mortgage, a builder captive mortgage company,  moving on to Aurora Loan Services, WJ Bradley Mortgage and most recently, as Chief Financial Officer of Citywide Home Loans, in Salt Lake City.  She is Vice Chair of the MBA Accounting and Financial Management Committee and earned her Certified Mortgage Bankers (CMB) designation in October 2019.  She is passionate about all areas of the mortgage industry and is eager to share her CMB experience with other CPAs who share her interest.

    Brandon C. Coleman, Partner, Deloitte

    Brandon has more than 19 years of experience in the accounting and financing field, including years of Corporate experience within the banking and mortgage industry.  Brandon currently serves as the Chicago Partner in Charge of Accounting Services and the Senior Consultation Partner - Consolidation leader in Deloitte’s National Office.  In addition, Brandon is a Deputy Industry Professional Practice Director for the Banking & Securities Industry. In addition to consolidation, Brandon is one of the firm’s leading experts in leasing and real estate transactions and specializes in the areas of financial instruments, mortgage servicing rights, and de-recognition. Prior to rejoining Deloitte in 2012, Brandon served as Deputy Controller and head of Accounting Policy in the Real Estate Lending division of Citigroup for 5 years, where he led multiple interpretation and implementation projects during a turbulent time in the mortgage industry. 

    Brandon is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants.  Brandon holds a B.A. in accounting from the University of Missouri – St. Louis and is a certified public accountant licensed to practice in Illinois and Missouri.

    Frank Plenskofski, Executive Vice President, Nationwide Mortgage Bankers

    Frank is currently, CEO/Executive Vice-President of Finance and Accounting at Nationwide Mortgage Bankers, Inc., a retail originator located in Melville New York.

    Frank began his career in public accounting spending 5 years as an auditor at a national firm. An offer of employment by a client brought him his first role in the financial services sector as a Chief Financial Officer at a Bank. Frank left banking in 1991 and would spend most of his career in the mortgage banking sector. He is most recognized for taking Rock Financial public in 1998 and worked on the sale to Intuit in 1999, leaving in 2000 after the transition over to Quickenloans. In addition to Rock Financial/Quickenloans, Frank has held the position of Chief Financial Officer in Opteum Financial Services, Platinum Home Mortgage, Guaranteed Rate and Cross-Country Mortgage.

    Frank lives with his wife in New Hope Pennsylvania, waiting for one of their four children to have their first grandchild. In the meantime, when not working, traveling and seeing the country are occupying their time.

    Patrick Journy, Chief Financial Officer, Mortgage Assets Management, LLC

    Patrick started his career in public accounting at a Big Four firm before spending time a large national firm. He was recruited out of public accounting by a Reverse Mortgage client to be their Controller and has since spent time in controllership and finance roles at both bank-owned and independent mortgage companies. Most of his time in the mortgage industry has been focused on working with PE backed entities, reverse products, and loan servicing. He joined Mortgage Assets Management in April of 2018 as the entity was starting up and today the Company oversees servicing assets in excess of $25b in upb and recently acquired a captive servicer.
