    Richard D. Jones, Managing Partner, Dechert LLP

    Richard D. Jones, chair of Dechert’s global finance and real estate practice groups, focuses his practice on capital markets and mortgage finance. Under Mr. Jones’ leadership, the practice was named the winner of the 2015 Law Firm Award for Real Estate by leading legal directory The Legal 500, which also described Mr. Jones as “one of the savviest capital markets/mortgage finance lawyers in America’s real estate sector.” In addition, Mr. Jones is consistently recognized as a leading lawyer by Chambers USA, which, in a recent edition, cited him as receiving “extensive praise for delivering high-level client service” and having “a fabulous reputation in the finance world."

    Widely recognized as a leader in the industry, he received the CREFC Founders Award and the Distinguished Service Award from the Mortgage Bankers Association (MBA) for his leadership.

    Mr. Jones frequently publishes and speaks on a wide range of issues affecting the capital markets and mortgage finance markets. He is the founder of, and principal author of, the Dechert blog, Crunched Credit, which takes a critical look at the global financial markets.

    Wayne Brandt, Managing Director, National Originations and Director, Real Estate Capital Markets, Wells Fargo Bank, N.A.

    Wayne Brandt is a Managing Director and the National Originations Director of the Real Estate Capital Markets Group at Wells Fargo Bank. Based in Los Angeles, Mr. Brandt directs the origination activities of Wells Fargo's CMBS and balance sheet lending businesses which generated over $9.5 billion in loan production in 2018. Previously, Mr. Brandt was head of real estate lending and debt investments for the Buchanan/TCW Funds, a $1.2 billion private equity firm that invests in JV equity, first mortgages and mezzanine loans in all major U.S. markets. Over his career, Mr. Brandt has helped build several lending and investment management businesses in both New York and Los Angeles. Wayne was previously a Managing Director of RBS Greenwich Capital where he directed real estate investments in the western U.S. and financed over $11 billion in real estate transactions. He has held previous positions as a Managing Partner at Menlo Equities, a $500 million private equity real estate fund, and as a Managing Director at Nomura Securities, heading its west coast real estate finance operations. He serves as a Board Member of Everest Properties, a multifamily owner operator, the Ziman Center for Real Estate at UCLA, a Governor of the Mortgage Bankers Association, Chairman of the Stanford Professionals in Real Estate and a Board Member, Trustee Member and Chairman of the Investment Committee of the Huntington Memorial Hospital in Pasadena, CA. He has authored several industry articles and served as a guest lecturer at the USC Lusk Center, UC Irvine Business School, UCLA Anderson School of Business, and the MIT Center for Real Estate. Mr. Brandt holds a MS in Real Estate from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT) and completed his undergraduate degree at Stanford University.

    Erin Stafford, Managing Director, CMBS, DBRS, Inc.

    Erin Stafford is a Managing Director with DBRS, Inc. in the commercial mortgage-backed securities (CMBS) group responsible for DBRS CMBS ratings activity in the U.S. and Canada. Prior to being appointed Head of North American CMBS in 2009, she managed CMBS surveillance for DBRS-rated transactions and commercial mortgage servicer evaluations. 

    Ms. Stafford has over 20 years of experience working at rating agencies in the CMBS industry. Prior to joining DBRS, Ms. Stafford was with Fitch Ratings in the CMBS group with a focus on monitoring ratings of existing CMBS transactions. She has served as a co-chair of the Post Securitization committee of the CRE Finance Council (formerly CMSA) and as Chair for the Servicer's Forum of the CRE Finance Council. Industry work for the CRE Finance Council also includes a White Paper on Canadian Defeasance and conducting IRP Tutorials as part of the Council's educational initiatives. Erin has also served as Chair of the International Committee for the Mortgage Bankers Association (MBA) and currently serves as a member of the board of governors (COMBOG). 

    Ms. Stafford holds a Masters of Business Administration from Northwestern University’s Kellogg Graduate School of Management with a concentration in real estate and a Bachelor of Science from the University of Wisconsin – Madison.

    Stefanos Arethas is Head of CRE Origination in the Structured Products Asset Finance Group at Credit Suisse. Previously, Stefanos was a ratings analyst in the Structured Finance Group at Moody’s Investors Services where he was a lead analyst.     Economist & Senior Vice President of REIS, leading a team of economists and analysts to build, maintain, and customize the firm’s market forecasting, valuation, and
    real estate portfolio analytics services. Dr. Calanog’s research has received awards and fellowship support from several institutions, including the Ford Foundation, the Russell Sage Foundation and the Penn Lauder Center for International Business Research. A prodigious researcher with broad interests, his papers in real estate economics, local government competition, and urban fiscal policy have been presented in meetings of the American Economic Association, the American Finance Association, the Brookings Institution, and discussed in academic forums sponsored by Harvard Business School, Columbia University, Stanford University, the Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania, and the Stern School of Business at New York University. He is also part of the Executive Committee and the Board of Directors of the Counselors of Real Estate ®. Dr. Calanog holds a PhD in Applied Economics and Management Science, trained by a dissertation committee composed of faculty from the Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania and Harvard Business School. In addition, he has an MBA in Finance and an MA in Business and Public Policy, earning the Amy Morse Prize and the Thomas P.     Benjamin Stacks, CRE Line of Business Executive, BankUnited

    Benjamin Stacks is executive vice president and commercial real estate line of business executive for the bank’s footprint, which includes north and south regions along the eastern seaboard. Possessing a broad understanding of all aspects of the real estate and banking industries, Stacks is a valuable part of BankUnited’s executive team. A 27-year veteran of New York commercial real estate banking, Stacks joined BankUnited in 2018 from Capital One Bank in New York, where he served as northeast market manager. In addition to his nine years there, he held various positions at HSBC Bank and M&T Bank. He serves on a number of industry and not for-profit boards, including the Real Estate Lenders Association, Breaking Ground, and is a former Chairman of the Young Mortgage Bankers Association. Ben has also served as a Guest Lecturer at NYU’s School of Real Estate as well as Syracuse University’s JanMester Program. Ben Stacks is a resident of Rye, N.Y., where he is a city councilman.  He earned his MBA from American University, Washington, D.C., and a bachelor’s degree from Syracuse University, Syracuse, N.Y.

    Brad J. Dubeck, Market Executive NY/NJ Commercial Real Estate Banking, Bank of America Merrill Lynch

    Brad Dubeck is a Senior Vice President and NY/NJ Market Executive within Commercial Real Estate Banking (CREB) where his responsibilities include leading the local teams charged with delivering the broad capabilities of the Bank of America Merrill Lynch platform to CREB clients and developing a clear and executable strategy to best serve client needs while growing relationship revenues.  Prior to his current role, Brad held the position of Senior Client Manager for six years and Credit Products Officer for two years, also within CREB.   Prior to joining Bank of America in 2005, Brad spent two years as an Executive Associate at M&T Bank in New York.  Brad started his banking career in Texas as a Corporate Banking Analyst at Bank One, NA (now JP Morgan) in 1999.  In this role, Brad completed Bank One’s Rotational Credit Management Training Program which included commercial credit training as well as sales and leadership training.  In 2002, Brad left Bank One after three years and moved to New York City to pursue his MBA at NYU.

    Matthew (Matt) Galligan is President of Cit Real Estate Finance. His group provides stabilized, value-add and construction loans in excess of $20 million to highly experienced and well-capitalized developers in the office, retail, industrial and multi-family rental sectors. Galligan most recently served as Managing Director and Head of US Property Finance for Bank of Ireland where under his leadership his team negotiated and closed more than 30 transactions totaling $2 billion. Before joining Bank of Ireland, he served as Executive Vice President for Real Estate Capital Markets at DebtX. He has also worked for Fleet Boston Financial, Bank of Boston, and Chase Manhattan in executive level positions in credit, real estate lending, debt distribution and capital markets.

    FHA insurance remains critical for construction and rehabilitation of muchneeded affordable and workforce rental housing. HUD senior leadership and MAP lenders share their perspectives on the past year’s progress and future plans to continue to address opportunities for FHA programs and the FHA lending community.

    Raelee Jones, FHA Chief Underwriter, Centennial Mortgage, Inc.

    Raelee Jones began her lending career in the 1980’s before transitioning to Senior Housing Development in the 1990’s.  In 2001 she came back to lending and has focused on FHA insured lending since then.  In addition to Multifamily loans, her focus has been on the HUD 232 program.  In 2008, Raelee helped with the development of HUD’s Lean Pilot program.  She has also served the industry through her roles in the Mortgage Banker’s Association FHA Committee, Western Mortgagee Advisory Council and Healthcare Mortgagee Advisory Council.  Raelee Jones is FHA Chief Underwriter of Wells Fargo Multifamily Capital.  Raelee is based out of the group’s Vancouver, WA office.  She is responsible for managing an underwriting team as well as overseeing the FHA compliance tasks and its FHA healthcare lending.  She has been with Wells Fargo since 2006 when the mortgage company she was working for was purchased by Wells Fargo.  Raelee began her lending career in the 1980’s – with the West Coast predecessor to Wells Fargo, First Interstate Bank -  before transitioning to Senior Housing Development in the 1990’s.  In 2001 she came back to lending and has focused on FHA insured financing since.  Her primary focus has been in the HUD 232 program but she has also had extensive experience with Multifamily properties as well as exposure to HUD’s hospital financing program.  In 2008, Raelee helped with the development of HUD’s 232 Lean Pilot program and continues to coordinate those efforts with HUD.  Raelee is a Board Member and current Secretary for Western Mortgagee’s Advisory Council (WMAC), a consortium of HUD approved multifamily and healthcare lenders that provide constructive advice and support to HUD leadership to improve the effective delivery of FHA multifamily insurance programs in the Western Region.  She is also a Board Member and current Secretary for Healthcare Mortgagee’s Advisory Council (HMAC) which has a similar focus as WMAC but has a nation-wide reach and is solely focused on HUD’s healthcare programs.  Raelee has been instrumental in organizing this newly created organization.  In addition, Raelee actively works on and supports HUD-related issues for the Mortgage Bankers Association.

    Terry Wellman, Senior Vice President, PNC Bank, National Association

    Terry Wellman is PNC Real Estate’s FHA Chief Underwriter, responsible for the underwriting of all FHA multifamily transactions nationwide. Over the past 20 years Mr. Wellman has provided financing for market rate and affordable multifamily housing under broad range of sources including FHA, Freddie Mac, Fannie Mae, CMBS, and LIHTC equity. Throughout his career Mr. Wellman has been directly involved in over $3 billion in multifamily and commercial real estate financing.  Under his leadership PNC Real Estate closed the first FHA-insured RAD transaction in the country and recorded two record breaking years of FHA production. Mr. Wellman is actively involved with industry trade group as the Vice President of the Western Mortgagee Advisory Council and Vice-Chair of the LIHTC Committee of the Mortgage Bankers Association FHA Lenders’ Group. He is active in various working groups addressing HUD policy, procedures, and requirements. As part of the LIHTC Committee, he was instrumental in securing a policy change with HUD to make equity bridge loans more feasible with FHA financing, along with other changes. He has spoken on numerous panels at conference hosted by Novogradac, Pennsylvania Housing Finance Agency, Ballard Spahr/CSG Advisors (Best of the West Conference), Affordable Housing Investor Conference, and IPED. He has also led training for PNC’s internal tax credit equity group on FHA impacts to LIHTC investments.

    Angela Corcoran is the Production Division Director in the Multifamily West Region.  Angela has been the head of Production in San Francisco since 2009.  Angela was born, raised and educated in San Francisco and started her career with HUD in 1990. Upon completion of a two-year HUD Management Intern program, Angela worked for six years in the Multifamily Development Branch as a Multifamily Housing Rep, and then as the Supervisory Team Leader for one of the insured processing teams.  In 1998, Angela moved over to Asset Management, first as the Troubled Projects Coordinator, and then as the Director of Asset Management for the region.  Angela also spent two years as the Operations Director before starting her current position.

    Patricia M. Burke, Director, Office of Multifamily Production, U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development

    Patricia Burke has 30 years’ experience in real estate finance in lending, acquisitions, and portfolio management. Positions she has held over her career include:

    Director of Multifamily Production at HUD (current), where she manages the national FHA Insurance Program for MF Housing.

    President of Nationwide Capital, a subsidiary of HomeFed Bank of San Diego, where she managed construction and permanent lending in four east coast offices.

    Associate Director at Freddie Mac Multifamily, where she managed affordable and conventional lending policy and new program development.

    Senior Development Director at the US Department of HUD, where she developed policy and regulations for the Mark-to-Market Program; and negotiated participating loans for public-private partnerships under the Urban Development Action Grant Program.

    Ms. Burke has a B.A. from Marymount Manhattan College in New York City.

    Jeff Friedman, Principal and Co-Founder, Mesa West Capital, LLC

    Mr. Friedman is a Principal with Mesa West Capital. Prior to co-founding Mesa West in 2004, Mr. Friedman spent three years at Maguire Partners as a Principal and was in charge of capital market activities which included the restructuring of the firm’s debt, the buy-out of partners, and the firm’s eventual $800 million initial public offering. Mr. Friedman transitioned into real estate finance in 1994 initially as a Vice-President originating large loans at Nomura Asset Capital Corporation and later as a Director at Credit Suisse First Boston in New York. Mr. Friedman began his career as a corporate lawyer, working initially in Tokyo, Japan, for an affiliate of Sidley & Austin and then in New York for Simpson Thacher & Bartlett.

    Jeffrey Fastov, Managing Principal, Square Mile Capital Management

    Jeffrey (“Jeff”) F. Fastov, Senior Managing Director, Credit Strategies. Mr. Fastov joined Square Mile in July 2013 and is responsible for credit strategies. Prior to joining Square Mile, Mr. Fastov was co-head of Credit Suisse’s Real Estate Finance and Securitization Group. Prior to Credit Suisse, he founded Oasis Real Estate Partners, a capital markets advisor to foreign and domestic financial institutions, private equity funds and other significant real estate credit market participants. From 1992 to 2009, Mr. Fastov was with Goldman Sachs, where he served as co-head of its commercial real estate lending business. Mr. Fastov started his career at Moody’s Investors Service where he established and led the commercial real estate ratings group from 1983 to 1992. Mr. Fastov received his B.A. from University of Rochester and his M.B.A. from Columbia Business School.

    Justin Dennett, Chief Investment Officer, Morrison Street Capital

    Justin Dennett serves as the Chief Investment Officer for Morrison Street Capital, a private equity fund manager based in Portland, Oregon. For the past 12 years, Mr. Dennett has supervised all aspects of investment strategy, underwriting, structuring, and closing for the Morrison Street series of equity funds. Prior to joining Morrison Street Capital in 2003, Mr. Dennett was an associate with Unico Properties, a Seattle-based owner and operator of office properties, where he was responsible for sourcing, underwriting and due diligence of new office investments as well as direct management of multiple asset dispositions. Mr. Dennett began his career with the L&B Group, a Dallas, Texas-based pension fund advisor. Mr. Dennett holds a bachelor’s degree in finance and real estate from Southern Methodist University and a J.D. from Lewis and Clark College.

    Peter Smith, Managing Director and Head of Originations, TPG Real Estate Finance Trust

    Peter Smith has served as Managing Director and Head of Originations since November 2016. Mr. Smith is a managing director of TPG and a member of our Manager’s investment committee. Mr. Smith has more than 25 years of commercial real estate debt financing experience, including transitional loans, mezzanine loans, long-term fixed rate loans, loan portfolio acquisitions, and workouts and restructurings. Prior to joining TPG in November 2016, Mr. Smith was a managing director at Ladder focusing on loan originations. Mr. Smith’s prior experience includes senior positions with Credit Suisse, UBS, Credit Suisse First Boston and Heller Financial. Mr. Smith is a graduate of the University of Michigan from which he earned a B.B.A. in Accounting.

    Michael Comparato, Managing Director, Head of Commercial Real Estate, Benefit Street Partners

    Michael Comparato is a managing director with Benefit Street Partners (BSP) and the Head of Commercial Real Estate for BSP and BSP Realty Trust. Prior to joining BSP in 2015, Mr. Comparato was Head of U.S. Equity Investments at Ladder Capital, where he led Ladder's largest team that actively originated CMBS loans, structured/balance sheet loans, mezzanine loans and acquired strategic assets for the firm. Prior to joining Ladder, Mr. Comparato was President of BankAtlantic Commercial Mortgage Capital (BACMC), the CMBS affiliate of BankAtlantic, where he was responsible for managing all day-to-day operations. Mr. Comparato also previously ran Compson Holding Corporation, which made various equity investments in multiple different commercial real estate assets and publicly traded REITs. Mr. Comparato received a Bachelor of Science, Summa Cum Laude, from Babson College.

    Gary Otten is head of Real Estate Debt Strategies. Named to this position in 2013, Otten is responsible for leading MIM’s commercial mortgage loan investment platform, investing on behalf of the MetLife general account as well as institutional investors. Total current assets managed by his team in this strategy exceed $60 billion.

    Otten joined MetLife in 1996 and has served in various capacities within MetLife’s real estate group in Atlanta and New Jersey, including mortgage production, mortgage workouts and dispositions, managing loan servicing operations and mortgage information technology system development. In his prior role, Otten was director of MetLife’s real estate portfolio management unit and a member of the real estate investment approval committee. In this role, he was responsible for reviewing and approving all new and modified commercial real estate debt and equity investments, managing servicing and administration activities for the company’s $41 billion commercial loan portfolio, and directing all loan servicing technology initiatives. Otten was named to this position in January 2006. He was involved in over $53 billion of loan originations and $3.3 billion in equity transactions during his tenure. Prior to his portfolio management position, he was responsible for over $1.4 billion of mortgage origination activities for the Southeastern U.S., and managed the Atlanta region’s $2.1 billion commercial mortgage loan portfolio.

    Before joining MetLife, Otten spent five years in the commercial mortgage origination unit at The Toyo Trust & Banking Company. Responsibilities while at Toyo Trust included construction and permanent loan origination, loan syndication and portfolio management.

    Otten graduated with a Bachelor of Arts in economics from Hobart College.

    Jack Gay, Managing Director, Global Head of Commercial Real Estate Debt, Nuveen Real Estate

     Jack is a managing director and oversees the origination, portfolio management and business development activities for Nuveen Real Estate globally. Previously, Jack was lead portfolio manager and head of the TIAA General Account portfolio management team responsible for the company’s general account investments in real estate, including equity real estate, commercial mortgages and single asset CMBS investments. Other prior roles include heading capital markets activities and managing commercial mortgage production teams for both the eastern and western regions of the U.S. Jack previously worked at J.P. Morgan Chase in a variety of roles including CMBS lending, real estate asset dispositions and loan workouts. Jack graduated with a B.S. in Finance from Lehigh University and an M.B.A. in Finance from New York University. He is a member of Nuveen Real Estate’s Investment Committee and an active member of the Mortgage Bankers Association, Commercial Real Estate Finance Council, and Mortgage and Real Estate Officer’s Council.

    Greg Michaud, Managing Director and Head of Real Estate Finance, Voya Investment Management

    Greg is a Managing Director and Head of Real Estate Finance for Voya Investment Management with 23 years of investment experience. He is responsible for the oversight and management of sourcing, underwriting and management of all commercial real estate loans on behalf of its clients. Greg has been worked in various functions in the real estate department for Voya Investment Management for over 18 years. Prior to joining Voya Investment Management in 1995, he was a real estate appraiser focused on commercial properties and eminent domain cases in the Southeastern United States. Greg serves on the Executive Leadership Team for proprietary assets is a member of the U.S. Credit Committee and is Chairmen of the CMBS Steering Committee.  He received his BS in Real Estate from the Florida State University, MBS in Finance from Kennesaw State University and an Executive MBS from University of Georgia.

    He is also heavily involved in several real estate industry groups including Urban Land Institute (Mixed Use – Blue Flight), Commercial Real Estate Finance Council (Board of Directors), Mortgage Bankers Association (Member of Commercial Real Estate/Multifamily Finance Board of Governors) and National Association of Real Estate Investment Managers.

    John Foley is the Senior Vice President – Head of Mortgage and Real Estate.  Foley joined Lincoln Financial Group in September 2018 and is responsible for leadership and management of the commercial mortgage loan platform.  Prior to joining Lincoln, Foley was Senior Vice President – Mortgage and Real Estate Investments at Mutual of Omaha responsible for oversight and management of the commercial mortgage loan platform, including portfolio holdings, new originations and related activities.     Roger M. Lukoff, Deputy Assistant Secretary- Healthcare Programs, U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development

    Roger Lukoff is the FHA Deputy Assistant Secretary for Healthcare Programs for the United States Department of Housing and Urban Development. Roger brings a wealth of experience to the position from the FHA Office of Healthcare Programs (OHP), DHHS’s Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS) and the private sector. Roger has led OHP since May 2016.  He joined HUD as Associate Deputy Assistant Secretary for OHP in 2010. In conjunction with the OHP Management Team, Roger developed and implemented organizational policies, strategies, plans, and operating guidelines to address the leading national healthcare mortgage insurance programs. Prior to his HUD service, Roger was the Associate Regional Administrator at CMS, where he was responsible for the Northeast Consortium Survey, Certification and Enforcement Division, overseeing quality assurance and standards for hospitals, long term care facilities and other healthcare facilities and suppliers participating in federal health programs. Before joining CMS, Roger was a senior healthcare executive at a major integrated health delivery system in Pennsylvania. He is a Certified Fellow of the American College of Healthcare Executives.  He completed his undergraduate degree at the University of Massachusetts at Amherst and his graduate degree at The George Washington University.  Roger also completed the Wharton Management Program in Business Administration at the University of Pennsylvania. Roger has taught in the Department of Government in the School of Public Affairs at American University since 2012; as well as serving as Adjunct Professorial Lecturer at The George Washington University Graduate School of Public Health, Department of Health Policy since 2011.

    Donika Schnell, Managing Director, Greystone

    Ms. Schnell has managed health care lending portfolios collectively valued at $3 billion throughout the course of her 30-year long career, which includes providing term loans for acquisitions, refinancings, and bridge lending solutions across various sectors in healthcare. In her role at Greystone, Ms. Schnell will be working closely with healthcare facility owners to provide them with debt and other capital solutions, including bridge financing, FHA loans, Agency loans and JV equity.  Most recently, she served as a Senior Managing Director and head of healthcare banking at MB Financial Bank, which was acquired by Fifth Third Bank last year. She has also held similar positions at Opus Bank, BBVA Compass Bank, CapitalSource Finance and other organizations.     Robert Broeksmit (Bob) is President and CEO of the Mortgage Bankers Association (MBA).  Bob is a senior finance executive and corporate officer with a 33-year career in the mortgage sector. He has directed all aspects of lending activities, including marketing, sales, operations, secondary marketing, loan servicing, and default management. He has also served as a mortgage underwriting expert testifying on many large, high-profile cases.

    Prior to joining MBA in 2018, Bob served as President and Chief Operating Officer with Treliant, heading the firm's mortgage litigation support practice and serving diverse financial services clientele including large banks, independent mortgage lenders, community banks, credit unions, and service providers to the mortgage industry. As a Washington-based financial services consultancy, Treliant's mortgage practice included strategic advisory for executive management and corporate boards; litigation defense, including file reviews, litigation strategy, expert reports, and expert testimony; CFPB examination preparation and implementation of mortgage regulations promulgated by the CFPB and other regulators; and operational aspects of mortgage banking, ranging from origination to servicing and loss mitigation.

    Before Treliant, Bob held senior leadership positions in the mortgage business, including fourteen years with Chevy Chase Bank (including after its purchase by Capital One), where he was Executive Vice President and President of its B.F. Saul Mortgage Company subsidiary. Bob also was a Vice President at Prudential Home Mortgage for seven years. He has overseen annual originations of $9 billion, a balance sheet of $10 billion in residential mortgages, and a servicing portfolio of $20 billion. He also held positions at Great Western Mortgage, Krupp Residential Mortgage, and The Money Store.

    Bob has served as the Chairman of the Mortgage Bankers Association's Residential Board of Governors and as a member of its Board of Directors.     Christine R. Chandler, Senior Vice President - Chief Operating Officer, M&T Realty Capital Corporation

    Christine was appointed Chief Credit Officer and Chief Operating Officer for M&T Realty Capital in August 2018.  In this role, Christine is responsible for making credit decisions for MTRCC’s Multifamily and Healthcare transactions underwritten in the Agency and FHA platforms. For thirteen years, Christine was the Chief FHA Underwriter for MTRCC.  She is an approved Multifamily (MAP) and 232 Healthcare Underwriter.  Prior to her appointment in the FHA group, Christine was a senior Fannie Mae DUS Underwriter and spent several years managing the closing and delivery for FHA/GNMA transactions.  In addition to her tenure with the Mortgage Corporation, Christine was a relationship manger in the commercial real estate division, focusing on construction and permanent portfolio lending.  Christine has been with M&T since 1991 and has over 28 years of commercial real estate experience.  Christine is active in various committees and groups related to the mortgage banking industry, and in 2019, Christine was invited to be a member of the MBA Commercial Real Estate / Multifamily Board of Governors (COMBOG.)

    In addition to responsibilities at M&T, Christine is a board member for several not-for-profit entities.  She is on the Advisory Board for Partners in Excellence, an organization that is affiliated with the Archdiocese of Baltimore and was appointed by Archbishop Lori in 2017, and is board member for the University System of Maryland Foundation (USMF).  Finally, she is the Finance Chair for her church, Severna Park United Methodist Church. Christine is married and has one adult daughter and twin 3-year-old granddaughters. 

    Sharon Walker, Associate Vice President, Multifamily, Mortgage Bankers Association

    Sharon Walker joined the MBA in 2018, as Associate Vice President, Multifamily. In that capacity, Sharon represents the interests of members active in the multifamily real estate finance sector, including advocacy on multifamily policy issues and overseeing a variety of committees, working groups, councils, and events. Ms. Walker brought many years of experience in commercial and multifamily real estate, particularly in servicing and asset management, to her role at the MBA. Prior to joining MBA, Sharon was managing director at RED Mortgage Capital, and earlier in her career, she served as vice president of asset management at Walker & Dunlop. In those positions, she managed large portfolios that included multifamily, assisted living and hospitals at MAP-approved lenders. Ms. Walker is a frequent speaker and contributor on panels at industry conferences and meetings, speaking on industry issues and leadership development.     Stephanie H. Wiggins, Senior Vice President & Chief Production Officer - FHA Finance, Walker & Dunlop, LLC

    Stephanie H. Wiggins, Senior Vice President & Chief Production Officer of the FHA Finance team, is based out of Bethesda, Maryland. Ms. Wiggins is responsible for the oversight of the production team for Walker & Dunlop’s multifamily lending through the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD). She brings more than 30 years of experience in commercial real estate finance and a specialty in the new construction of market-rate and affordable multifamily housing as well as healthcare facilities.

    Ms. Wiggins initially joined Walker & Dunlop as a senior underwriter in 1995. Prior to her return to Walker & Dunlop, Ms. Wiggins served as Executive Vice President and Chief Investment Officer of AFL-CIO Housing Investment Trust, where she managed multifamily originations and operations with a focus on FHA and government sponsored enterprise executions. In this position, she was responsible for closing 256 transactions nationwide, for a total capital deployment of nearly $5 billion. Previously, Ms. Wiggins served as Director and Senior Investment Officer at Prudential Mortgage Capital Company, managing the deal structure and underwriting processes for Fannie Mae Multifamily Affordable Housing transactions.

    Ms. Wiggins earned a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration from American University’s Kogod School of Business, where she studied real estate and urban development. Beyond the company, Ms. Wiggins is an active member of several industry organizations, including the Urban Land Institute (ULI) as a Public Private Partnership Council Member and a Women’s Leadership Initiative Member, the Mortgage Bankers Association (MBA), and the Real Estate Network Empowering Women (RENEW). She also serves as a board member for The Campagna Center, a nonprofit organization that provides educational and social development programs for underserved children, teens, and adults in Alexandria, Virginia, as well as The Twelve Days of Christmas, Inc., which raises funds to provide back-to-school necessities and fulfills the holiday wish lists for disadvantaged families in the Washington, D.C. metropolitan area.

    Claudia A. Steeb, Managing Director, Capital Markets, JLL

    Claudia Steeb is a Managing Director in the Pittsburgh office of JLL with more than 30 years of experience in commercial real estate finance and investment advisory. She is primarily responsible for originating debt and equity transactions throughout the United States, with a focus on retail, office and self-storage properties as well as complicated portfolio transactions.  During her career with JLL (formerly HFF), she has completed more than $14 billion in commercial real estate transactions. Ms. Steeb has underwritten, evaluated, financed and sold numerous regional malls at JLL. Claudia joined the firm in June 1995. Prior to JLL/HFF, she was an Originator with Lane, Noland Smith & Co. (now Grandbridge Mortgage), after working for five years at U.S. Steel Corporation in the Realty Development and Audit divisions. A graduate of the Pennsylvania State University with a degree in Finance from the Smeal College of Business, Ms. Steeb is currently a board member for the Institute of Real Estate Studies at Penn State, and has been a guest lecturer for the Real Estate Boot Camp and several senior and graduate level real estate classes.  In addition to being a founding and current member of the Pittsburgh chapter of CREW, Ms. Steeb is also a member of ULI and ICSC, as well as a board member for PEIDC in Pittsburgh.

She is responsible for providing financing solutions to commercial real estate developers and owners throughout the United States. Maggie has extensive knowledge and experience structuring, underwriting and closing a broad range of asset types including multifamily, office, and retail. In her career, Maggie has assisted clients with securing over $3 billion in debt finance transactions representing several capital source executions including Fannie Mae, Freddie Mac, Life Companies, CMBS, Debt Funds and Banks.     Deborah L. Jenkins, Executive Vice President and Head of Multifamily Division, Freddie Mac

    Deborah Jenkins is executive vice president and head of Multifamily. She leads all aspects of Freddie Mac’s Multifamily business – the largest capital provider to the U.S. multifamily rental housing market. She is a member of the company's senior operating committee.

    Previously, Jenkins served as senior vice president and national head of Multifamily Underwriting and Credit. In this role, Jenkins oversaw all credit approvals and due diligence processes, asset level securitization activities, as well as credit policies and governance for all of Multifamily’s products. This prior-approval approach has produced delinquency rates among the very lowest in the industry while ensuring mortgage liquidity across economic environments. Jenkins also spearheaded enhancements in the company’s underwriting process specifically to support its securitization program, including its signature K and SB Deals.

    Prior to that, Jenkins held different positions of increasing responsibility at Freddie Mac Multifamily, including vice president of national underwriting. Jenkins was a senior vice president with Wells Fargo National Bank in Michigan before joining Freddie Mac in March 2008.

    Jenkins holds a Master’s degree in Corporate Finance from Walsh College in Troy, Michigan, and a Bachelor’s of Science degree in Corporate Finance from Wayne State University in Detroit.

    Michael McRoberts, Managing Director, PGIM Real Estate Finance

    Mike McRoberts is a Managing Director with PGIM Real Estate Finance and serves as Chairman of the Agency platform, in Arlington, Virginia. In this role, his focus is on the expansion of the company's leadership position in multifamily lending. Prior to joining the company in 2011, he served as vice president and national head of sales and production for Freddie Mac with responsibility for the agency's conventional multifamily business, structured transactions, senior's housing, the national Freddie Mac Program Plus® network and Freddie's four regional production offices. Earlier, McRoberts was National Head of Underwriting and Credit f o r Freddie Mac. Before joining Freddie Mac in 1992, he held positions at First Maryland Mortgage Corporation in Baltimore and First Interstate Mortgage Corporation in Denver and Kansas City. McRoberts is a past chairman of the Fannie Mae DUS® Advisory Council serves on the Multifamily Committee for the Commercial Real Estate/Multifamily Finance Board of Governors (COMBOG) of the Mortgage Bankers Association (MBA). He also serves on the Debt Financing Subcommittee of the National Multifam-ily Housing Council. 

    Robert G. Levin, Senior Vice President, Multifamily Customer Engagement, Fannie Mae

    Rob Levin is Fannie Mae’s Senior Vice President and Head of Customer Engagement. In this role, he manages all customer relationships and leads all of Fannie Mae's multifamily production activities, including the Delegated Underwriting and Servicing (DUS®) lending platform, structured transactions, seniors housing, affordable housing, green financing, small loans, and borrower relationships. Under Rob’s leadership, Customer Engagement is focused on providing support, expertise, and guidance to our customers and partnering with them to build a high-quality, balanced book of business that will meet the needs of the multifamily market now and in the future.  Prior to his current role, Levin was the Vice President of Multifamily Credit Underwriting. He led the DUS loan underwriting process for all non-delegated loans, covering conventional loans as well as specialty products. He also managed the underwriting guidelines for Multifamily, ensuring that loans guaranteed by Fannie Mae met consistently high credit standards.  Before joining Fannie Mae in 1998, he worked in commercial and community banking. 

    Hilary Provinse, Executive Vice President and Head of Mortgage Banking, Berkadia

    Hilary B. Provinse is the EVP and Head of Mortgage Banking at Berkadia and is a member of Berkadia’s Management Committee. In this role, Ms. Provinse oversees 140 experienced mortgage bankers and their teams who are located in 31 offices across the country.  These teams serve clients across all multifamily and commercial channels and have expertise in specialty areas such as seniors housing and healthcare, hotels and hospitality, student housing, affordable housing, small loans and manufactured housing. Berkadia closed over $26 billion of Mortgage Banking volume in 2019.  Ms. Provinse ensures Berkadia clients benefit from our market expertise and deep relationships with diverse capital sources, including Life Companies, Banks, CMBS, Debt Funds, Fannie Mae, Freddie Mac and HUD. Ms. Provinse has a bachelor of arts in history from Dartmouth College and a master of business in finance from the Kellogg Graduate School of Management at Northwestern University.

    Janette O'Brien, Senior Vice President & Head of Multifamily Production, KeyBank Real Estate Capital

    Janette O’Brien serves as Senior Vice President, Head of Multifamily Production and Agency CEO for KeyBank Real Estate Capital. Ms. O’Brien has significant real estate experience with over twenty-eight years in Agency lending. This includes significant experience with Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac as well as with CMBS, Life Placement and equity investors, including approximately $55 billion in real estate lending transactions. Shespent the first couple of years of her career in various areas of multifamily servicing. After leaving multifamily servicing, Ms. O’Brien joined the Philadelphia-based Meridian Mortgage, which was one of the first companies involved in Agency lending. Through the years, Ms. O’Brien has been involved in underwriting for some of the top Agency lenders, including ARCS Commercial Mortgage, Reilly Mortgage Group and Berkshire Mortgage.

    Ms. O’Brien joined KeyBank to manage the Northeast and Midwest Agency underwriting and closing process in 1999, was promoted to Chief Underwriter in 2004 and promoted to her current position in 2014. Ms. O’Brien’ specialty is with Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac loans. In her current role, Ms. O’Brien’s team is responsible for multifamily production including Fannie Mae, Freddie Mac, FHA, CMBS and Life Placement. Ms. O’Brien has also served and continues to serve on numerous committees for Fannie Mae, Freddie Mac, KeyBank, MBA, NMHC and the community. Following a vote by her peers, Ms. O’Brien has recently accepted her fourth term on the Fannie Mae DUS Advisory Counsel and will serve as Vice Chair. With over 30 years of experience in the multifamily and affordable mortgage banking business, Ms. O’Brien uses her knowledge and experiences to cultivate relationships and mentor peers. Ms. O’Brien was a member of the MBA task force for a future secondary mortgage market, which aimed to create an end state model that can also fulfill an affordable housing duty. She supports charities including the National Multiple Sclerosis Society, Susan G. Komen Foundation, National Cancer Society, Habitat for Humanity and Girls With Sole.

    Ms. O’Brien received a Bachelor’s degree in Accounting from the University of Maryland, College Park in 1985. Ms. O’Brien continues to train in hopes that some year she will make it to the LPGA.

    Siobhan Kelly, Associate Director, Office of Multifamily Analytics and Policy, Federal Housing Finance Agency

    Siobhan Kelly is an Associate Director and currently leads the Office of Multifamily Analytics and Policy at the Federal Housing Finance Agency (FHFA). The office serves as the focal point for the development and implementation of mission-related multifamily policy, research and financial analysis.  Kelly has over 15 years of multifamily experience and oversees the business activities of both Freddie Mac and Fannie Mae. Previously, she served as the Multifamily Credit Risk Officer at the Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD), servicing as a senior advisor on multifamily finance and policy issues affecting FHA, as well as managing and measuring risk issues related to the MAP lending program. Prior to her time at HUD, she worked in multifamily at Freddie Mac, both on the front end of the business and in asset management. Kelly was also selected as an Excellence in Government (EIG) fellow through the leadership program at the Partnership for Public Service.
