    Joe Lovell, Senior Vice President and Chief Operating Officer, Grandbridge Real Estate Capital

    Joseph Lovell (“Joe”), Senior Vice President and Chief Operating Officer, joined Grandbridge Real Estate Capital in 1994. In his role, Joe is responsible for the overall direction and management of a staff of 100+ associates that oversee the asset management, operations, business systems/IT, third party loan closing and corporate initiatives for Grandbridge and its subsidiary BB&T Real Estate Funding.

    As an original associate of Grandbridge, Joe spent the first part of his 24+ year career establishing investor reporting processes and systems as well as the company's internal information management system, personally building and developing many of the databases that are still in active deployment today. In 2004, he was promoted to the role of Head of Loan Servicing, overseeing the growth of the portfolio from 1,500 loans with a UPB of $6 billion to 4,000 loans with a UPB of more than $29 billion for all major lender types including insurance companies, CMBS, FHA/HUD/Ginnie Mae, Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac, as well as for Grandbridge’s own proprietary products marketed under BB&T Real Estate Funding. He was promoted to Chief Operating Officer in 2018 taking on additional corporate duties in addition to his existing servicing responsibilities.

    Joe received his Bachelor of Science degree in Architectural Design from Clemson University and his MBA from the University of South Carolina. He is active in the MBA currently serving as the Chair of the Servicer Council as well as the Chair of the Servicing and Technology Conference Planning Committee and is a member of the Grandbridge's Board of Managers, the Grandbridge Risk Committee and the company's Senior Leadership Team.

    Brian F. Stoffers, CMB, 2019 MBA Chairman-Elect, Global President, Debt & Structured Finance, CBRE

    Brian Stoffers is Global President, Debt & Structured Finance at CBRE, a Fortune 500 and S&P 500 company headquartered in Los Angeles, and the world's largest commercial real estate services and investment firm. Brian has extensive experience in the origination, structuring, placement, closing and servicing of commercial real estate debt for life insurance companies, pension funds, banks, savings and loans, Freddie Mac, Fannie Mae, FHA and Wall Street sources.   Prior to the CB Richard Ellis acquisition of L.J. Melody in 1996, Brian served as senior vice president and Southwest Regional Manager for CB Commercial's mortgage banking division. He began his career with Coldwell Banker Commercial in 1981 and became a senior real estate finance officer in the firm's La Jolla, California, office. An active MBA member for more than 25 years, Brian has served in several leadership positions within the organization.  He currently serves on MBA's Executive Committee as well as the Chairman of the Audit Committee.  Brian previously served on the Commercial Real Estate/Multifamily Finance Board of Directors (COMBOG), and is the former Chairman of the Task Force on GSE Reform and Capital Markets Committee.  He is the 2019 Chairman of MBA’s Diversity and Inclusion Committee.

    Todd Goldstein, Chief Revenue Officer, AEG

    With more than 20 years’ experience in the sports and entertainment industry, Todd Goldstein serves as the Chief Revenue Officer for AEG.  In this capacity, he is responsible for the company’s global business development, marketing and sales functions, and oversees all its revenue generating operations which include AEG’s Global Partnerships division, its premium seating activities and LA LIVE. 

    Under Goldstein’s leadership, AEG’s Global Partnerships division has grown its brand partner roster to over 1,000 companies, including such Fortune 500 brands as American Express, Anheuser-Busch, Coca-Cola, Mercedes-Benz, Sky, Netflix, Microsoft, O2, T-Mobile, Toshiba, and Toyota among others.  The division, which represents AEG’s portfolio of facilities, sports, music, entertainment districts and real estate assets across five continents, delivers partners the largest sports and live music marketing network in the world.  With the ability to activate and engage customers at over 10,000 events annually, the AEG Global Partnerships division generates more than $550 million in revenues annually and was named “Best In Property Consulting, Sales and Client Services” for both 2017 and 2018 by the renowned industry trade publication, Sports Business Journal. 

    As AEG’s Chief Revenue Officer, Goldstein also oversees AEG’s ownership agreement for the 1001-room JW Marriott and The Ritz-Carlton hotels at L.A. LIVE, as well as the 224-unit Ritz-Carlton Residences at L.A. LIVE.

    Since joining AEG in 2001, Goldstein has been instrumental in developing and executing the company’s global sales strategies including its premium seating activities and its sponsorship and naming rights agreements.  Under his direction, the company has secured comprehensive naming rights deals for Las Vegas’ T-Mobile Arena, Kansas City’s Sprint Center, San Diego’s Valley View Casino Center, Carson California’s StubHub Center and L.A. LIVE’s Microsoft Theater, among others. 

    On the international front, Goldstein was directly involved with securing naming rights relationships for such properties as AccorHotels Arena in Paris, the Ericsson Globe in Stockholm and the Mercedes-Benz Arenas in Shanghai and Berlin, as well as the Mercedes Platz entertainment district in Berlin.

    Since the opening of LA LIVE in 2008, Goldstein has developed several stand-alone events that take place at the entertainment district, including the annual Nike 3ON3 Basketball Tournament and the All-Star Chef Classic. Additionally, he was involved with the creation of the GRAMMY Museum and the establishment of ESPN’s west coast broadcast headquarters at LA LIVE.

    Prior to joining AEG, Goldstein served as Vice President of Marketing and Director of Sales for Ascent Sports and Ascent Arena Company in Denver.  While there, he helped lead the production of the initial collateral materials for the Pepsi Center.  He also oversaw a division that was responsible for initiating and completing all sponsorship, suite-and club-seat sales and the naming rights agreement for the arena.

    Goldstein holds an MBA from the University of Colorado at Denver and received a Bachelor of Arts in Communications from the University of Colorado at Boulder.  In 2009, 2010 and 2011, he received Sports Business Journal’s “Forty Under 40” award, being named as one of industry’s most influential sports executives under the age of 40.  Upon receiving the third award, he was inducted into the Sports Business Journal’s Forty Under 40 Hall of Fame.

    Goldstein is involved with and serves on a number of local and national boards including The GRAMMY Museum.  He previously served as a Board member for 2015 Special Olympics World Games and is being honored by the Special Olympics of Southern California at their Pier del Sol event in October 2018.   He lives in Los Angeles with his wife and their three children.

    Thomas Dryden is the Chief Information Security Officer for Berkadia, where he is responsible for maintaining the security, privacy, and integrity of Berkadia’s technology assets. In his more than 15 years of tenure with Berkadia and its predecessor companies, including Capmark Finance and GMAC Commercial Mortgage, Mr. Dryden has held numerous technology leadership positions where he advised on risk, compliance, cybersecurity, and managing cloud migrations. Mr. Dryden is a member of the Information Systems Audit and Control Association, the Scrum Alliance, and the Mortgage Bankers Association CRE Technology Leadership Roundtable. He attended Pennsylvania State University and has been recognized as a Certified Information Security Manager (CISM) by ISACA.

    Amy Frazey began her involvement in the commercial real estate finance industry in October 2004 as the Assistant Vice President, Investment Administration for StanCorp Mortgage Investors, LLC (SMI), a subsidiary of StanCorp Financial Group, Inc. the holding company of Standard Insurance Company (SIC). In her current role she leads the reporting, accounting, servicing and operations associated with their commercial real estate portfolio which is in excess of $10.9 billion and 6,000 loans.

    Prior to joining SMI, she spent four years as the Treasury and Financial Services Manager at SIC and six years in public accounting with PricewaterhouseCoopers, LLP. Amy served on the COMBOG Servicer Council as Chair and Vice Chair between 2016-2018.  She was also on the board of the Oregon Mortgage Bankers Association from 2008 to 2015. Amy earned a B.S. in Business - Accounting from Montana State University and became an Oregon State CPA while at PricewaterhouseCoopers, LLP.

    DeAnne Reed is an Assistant Vice President in the Real Estate Investment area at Pacific Life Insurance Company.  She joined Pacific Life in 1998 and overseas the Portfolio Operations and Pacific Life Construction Loan Management teams.  Under her direction, Portfolio Operations is responsible for a wide variety of services including new loan setup and release, billing, IRS annual reporting, UCC filings and continuations, document control/file management as well as insurance, escrow, reserve and cash management.  The Pacific Life Construction Loan Management team provides client services, transaction analysis, construction loan administration and property inspections for the Pacific Life construction loan portfolio.  Her team is also responsible for the oversight, leadership and business direction for the mortgage loan system.  Ms. Reed graduated Cum Laude with a B.A. degree in organizational leadership from Chapman University.

    Shelley Hasskamp is Senior Vice President for Bellwether Enterprise and is responsible for Asset Management on the Life Company Portfolio.  Shelley has over 30 years’ experience in commercial mortgage banking and served on the Asset Administration Committee of the Mortgage Bankers Association (MBA) for three years, serving as Chair of the committee in 2003/2004.  In 2013, Shelley earned the MBA’s CCMS designation.  Prior to joining Bellwether Enterprise, Shelley was Vice President and Senior Portfolio Manager for Grandbridge Real Estate Capital LLC.     Adam Fox is a senior director in Fitch Ratings’ U.S. CMBS group. His primary areas of expertise are commercial mortgage servicing and U.S. CMBS. Adam is currently responsible for Fitch’s North American commercial mortgage servicing group and leads a team of three analysts covering approximately 45 commercial mortgage servicers. In addition, he maintains an active role in new issuance and surveillance CMBS rating reviews as well as European servicer evaluations.

    Prior to his current position, Adam led a team of five associates who perform CMBS surveillance and authored a variety of research and criteria reports.

    Adam was previously director of data management at CRIIMI MAE where he spent seven years. During his tenure at CRIIMI MAE, he worked with the investor reporting, master/primary and special servicing groups before moving to information technology where he was responsible for the development of servicing and reporting software as well as data management for the company.

    Adam earned his BBA in finance and international business from Marymount University. He is also an active member of the Commercial Real Estate Finance Council and Mortgage Bankers Association.

    Mr. Hanson has lectured at various universities, including Harvard, Columbia, NYU, Wharton, Maryland and Johns Hopkins, and has had speaking engagements for the Mortgage Bankers Association, Commercial Real Estate Finance Council (CREFC), Fitch Ratings, Standard & Poor’s, the Appraisal Institute and various other trade associations. Mr. Hanson holds a B.A. in mathematics from Washington and Lee University.

Prior to his current position, Mr. Schwartz managed a team of asset managers that was responsible for the surveillance/asset management of a portfolio in excess of $30 billion. He has also led a variety of diligence/valuation projects, securitizations for life insurance companies & PNC's lending group as well as technology & client implementations. Mr. Schwartz has a master's degree in Management from the University of Missouri-Kansas City and a bachelor's degree from the University of Texas at Austin. Dugger is a member of the Commercial Real Estate Finance Council and was the co-lead of the CREFC working group on trust terminations.

    Gwen Roush, Vice President, CMBS Surveillance, DBRS, Inc.

    Gwen Roush is a Vice President at DBRS, where she is the lead surveillance analyst with the North American CMBS group in Chicago.  In her role with DBRS, Gwen is responsible for managing the day-to-day of the group as surveillance reviews are completed.  In addition, Gwen is highly involved with the DBRS Viewpoint platform, a web-based CMBS tool built by DBRS that houses issuance and servicer data for all CMBS transactions, as well as DBRS commentary for DBRS-rated deals. She began her CMBS career with Midland Loan Services, and prior to re-joining DBRS in 2015, she was with PNC Real Estate’s Multifamily group in Dallas. Gwen has a B.A. in Political Science from Mizzou.

    Roy Chun is a Senior Director at Kroll Bond Rating Agency and head of the CMBS Surveillance group. Prior to joining KBRA, Roy was a Senior Director at Freddie Mac overseeing the surveillance and various master servicing responsibilities of the agency’s multifamily portfolio of loans and guarantees. functions Prior to his work at Freddie Mac, Roy was at Standard & Poor’s in a number of capacities including heading the team responsible for the surveillance of the company’s CMBS ratings portfolio. Roy holds a BS in Engineering and Applied Mathematics from Stony Brook University and a MBA from Baruch College.

    Jamie Woodwell, Vice President, CRE Research & Economics, Mortgage Bankers Association

    Jamie Woodwell is Vice President in the Research and Economics group at the Mortgage Bankers Association (MBA), where he oversees MBA's research on the commercial and multifamily real estate markets. Jamie's work covers the macro-economy, commercial and multifamily property markets, commercial and multifamily real estate finance, servicing, mortgage banking benchmarking and more. Jamie is an expert on the commercial real estate finance markets and he and his work are regularly cited in the media, on Capitol Hill and in regulatory settings. He is a frequent contributor to Mortgage Banking magazine and other periodicals and a regular speaker at industry events. He has appeared on CNBC, Bloomberg and in other popular and trade press and has testified before the Congressional Oversight Panel for TARP.

    Jamie also leads special MBA projects including its Council to Shape Change and the Council on Ensuring Mortgage Liquidity, and oversees MBA's commercial peer business roundtables including CFOs, CTOs and HR heads. The Council to Shape Change brought together leaders from the single-family and commercial/multifamily finance markets to identify key trends shaping the industry. The group issued its report "Outlook for the Real Estate Finance Industry" in 2006. In 2008, the Council on Ensuring Mortgage Liquidity brought together 23 industry leaders representing MBA's diverse membership who were tasked with determining what a functioning secondary mortgage market should like for the long term. In September of 2009, the Council released "Future Government Role in the Core Secondary Mortgage Market," a framework for government involvement in the single-family and multifamily secondary mortgage markets and a foundation for most subsequent reform proposals.

    Woodwell received his bachelor's degree in economics and American studies from Brown University in Providence, Rhode Island. He earned his master's degree in urban and regional planning from the Graduate School of Public and International Affairs at the University of Pittsburgh.

    Bryan Doyle serves as the Director of Operations for CBRE’s Capital Markets division. In his role Bryan oversees strategic partnerships and technology initiatives for the debt and structured finance business line and leads their integrated digital marketing and inside sales team.

    Bryan began his career as a broker at Marcus & Millichap before moving into an acquisitions role for a national student housing owner/operator. In 2013 Bryan moved into the technology industry joining Mitchell International a KKR portfolio company where he oversaw a line of software products for the finance industry. In 2016 Bryan returned to the commercial real estate industry taking his current position with the Debt and Structured Finance team.

    Jason Berry, Chief Operating Officer, Barry Slatt Mortgage Company

    With more than 27 years of experience in commercial real estate, Jason Berry has a proven track record of innovative operations as well as leading cross-functional teams for complex operations. Prior to full-time engagement with Barry Slatt Mortgage, Jason served as both interim Chief Operating Officer and regional leader of the California brokerage offices for CBC Advisors, the largest franchisee in the Coldwell Banker Commercial system. Jason’s background included serving as the Chief Operating Officer from 2000 to 2012 for BT Commercial which helped launch Cassidy Turley in 2010. After the successful merger with Cassidy Turley in 2012, he became the Executive Managing Director of the Northern California region prior to leaving the firm in 2015 with the sale to Cushman & Wakefield.

    Robert G. Wright, CMB, CCMS – Bob joined SS&C Technologies as Director of Business Development and is responsible for delivering next generation technology solutions for the commercial real estate finance industry, including the Precision LM system and AWD workflow solutions.  Prior to SS&C, he was a SVP at PNC’s Midland Loan Services division for 23 years with extensive operational oversight responsibilities throughout the loan servicing division, including technology prioritization, innovation and process improvement, business development and account management, career development, and training.  He earned his MBA from the University of Kansas in Finance and BSBA from the University of Missouri, with a dual major in Finance and Real Estate.

    Becky Browning, SVP at Armada Analytics, Inc., oversees closing, insurance review and the Freddie loan purchase departments. Prior to joining Armada, Becky was the owner of Browning Consulting Group consulting with clients in a myriad of areas including loan servicing, underwriting, closings and insurance review.

    Before forming her company, Becky was First VP at Live Oak Capital (which later became a part of Grandbridge Real Estate Capital.) She worked in various capacities including supervising the production analytical staff, closing commercial loans and heading the loan servicing department.

    Prior to her tenure at Live Oak, Becky oversaw national servicing for Holliday, Fenoglio, Fowler. She also spent part of her early career with Prudential Realty Group in loan origination and property management and two years as a commercial fee appraiser with Bach Thoreen.

    Katie Schwarting's legal practice focuses on CMBS and Freddie Mac securitizations (both the K Series and Small Balance Loan products), regulatory issues impacting securitization, other portfolio and warehouse servicing agreements, B-Piece investor purchase of securities, asset management, workout and foreclose strategies and the sale of servicing rights.

    Prior to joining the firm, Ms. Schwarting was Senior Director of the Commercial Real Estate/Multifamily Finance Department of the Mortgage Bankers Association in Washington, D.C. Her key responsibilities included advancing issues, standards, regulations and legislation to support the commercial real estate industry MBA members in asset administration (including CMBS, portfolio lending and life company servicing) and loan origination (including lenders, rating agencies, consultants, insurance companies and attorneys). She also participated in extensive outreach programs and authored several white papers on topics ranging from the assumption process, mold property inspections to due diligence for force placed insurance.

    Ms. Schwarting's experience also includes five years as Assistant Vice President of the Real Estate and Financial Services - Structured Products Services - division of Wachovia Securities. She worked in the business development group as a deal integration manager, a data integrity manager and a portfolio manager, where she managed sixteen commercial mortgage securitizations and conduit portfolios, totaling more than $10 billion and 1,150 mortgage loans. She also negotiated and closed commercial mortgage-backed securitization transactions, covering business issues as the Master Servicer.

    Michael’s 20 years of experience in commercial mortgage banking and lending provides insight from the perspective of both the institution and the correspondent. Prior to joining Newmark, Michael began his real estate career in San Francisco commercial mortgage banking and later lending in Los Angeles with a regional bank. Michael holds a Bachelor of Arts Degree from the University of California, Berkeley and an MBA from San Francisco State University.
