    Dan Silvert is a behavioral expert,  keynote speaker and executive coach.  As President of Velocity Advisory Group, ranked 548 by the Inc. 5000 list of fastest growing companies in America, Daniel has guided organizations through cultural transformations, building greater accountability into workplace culture, and leading change.

    Dan is the co-author of Taking Flight!, published in 9 languages. His latest book, The True Competitive Advantage, was released in January, 2018.

    Dan’s Revealing Your Hidden Genius keynote at the NHIA Annual conference received the highest attendee satisfaction score in 10 years with a value rating of 97%.

    Dan’s clients have included: Aflac Insurance,  Biogen, Brinker Capital, Cushman & Wakefield, Crump Insurance, Genentech, Johnson & Johnson, Kolmar,  Situs, W.L.Gore, and Zara.

    Dan graduated from the University of Maryland. He and his wife Cindy live in Cherry Hill, NJ with their two children.

    Michael Heagerty, CCMS, Principal, Newmark Realty Capital, Inc

    Michael Heagerty is a Principal and Chief Financial Officer for Newmark Realty Capital, Inc. His areas of responsibility include the financial performance, management, and direction of each of the company’s business lines. Michael has managed the expansion of Newmark’s platform on the west coast including operational, recruiting, and technology initiatives that strive to improve the company’s loan production and servicing capabilities. Since forming Newmark’s Loan Servicing Department in 1994, the department has grown to be one of the top commercial loan servicers in the country with a portfolio representing over $11 billion in loans.

    Michael’s 20 years of experience in commercial mortgage banking and lending provides insight from the perspective of both the institution and the correspondent. Prior to joining Newmark, Michael began his real estate career in San Francisco commercial mortgage banking and later lending in Los Angeles with a regional bank. Michael holds a Bachelor of Arts Degree from the University of California, Berkeley and an MBA from San Francisco State University. He has a CCMS designation from the Mortgage Bankers Association (MBA) and a California real estate salesperson license. He is former Chairman of the Servicing Council and currently Chairman of the Commercial Real Estate/Multifamily Finance Board of Governors (COMBOG) for the MBA.

    Brian Hanson, 2019 Vice Chair, MBA Servicer Council and Managing Director, CW Capital Asset Management LLC

    Brian Hanson joined CWCapital in February 2006. His responsibilities are focused on maximizing strategic relationships with clients and business partners of the firm and its affiliates RealINSIGHT and RealINSIGHT Marketplace as well as industry constituents. From 1996 to 2003, before joining CWCapital, Mr. Hanson managed the primary and special servicing and asset management functions for CRIIMI MAE’s $19 billion commercial mortgage portfolio. Prior to CRIIMI, Mr. Hanson served as Chief Operating Officer and Portfolio Director for JCF Partners in Lanham, MD, overseeing their $1 billion real estate portfolio. Prior to joining JCF in 1991, Mr. Hanson was Vice President of secondary marketing and syndications for a financial institution and its wholly-owned mortgage banking subsidiary. 

    Mr. Hanson has lectured at various universities, including Harvard, Columbia, NYU, Wharton, Maryland and Johns Hopkins, and has had speaking engagements for the Mortgage Bankers Association, Commercial Real Estate Finance Council (CREFC), Fitch Ratings, Standard & Poor’s, the Appraisal Institute and various other trade associations. Mr. Hanson holds a B.A. in mathematics from Washington and Lee University.
