    Charlie Epperson is the Chief Technology Officer for Evolve Mortgage Services formally MRN3 Family of Companies which includes MRN3, SigniaDocs and DepotPoint. He has over 20 years of Information Systems and IT management experience in the areas of operations, programming, business analysis, software design and development, and electronic commerce and eMortgage technologies / implementation. Charles joined the MRN3 Family in 2009 after 10 years spent with Stewart Title in the leadership role of eMortgage technology and development. He received his M.S. in Computer Science from the University of Arkansas at Little Rock in 1999. In his current position, he is active in the research, development and implementation of paperless real estate transactions, electronic intelligent document production, electronic mortgage transactions and e-closings utilizing enforceable electronic document, digital signatures, electronic storage, delivery, and the use of secure virtual transaction folders for all real estate transaction participants.
    In cooperation with the Property Records Industry Association (PRIA) and the Mortgage Industry Standards Maintenance Organization (MISMO) Technology Workgroups, Charles has co-authored many real-estate industry national data standards, including the MISMO Title Insurance Request/Response, Multiple Services, and the PRIA Electronic Recording/Request/Response/SOAP XML DTDs and Schemas. Likewise, he is actively working on industry standards for electronic mortgage transactions and XHTML SMART® Doc documents as well as various business and technologies for the county and municipal courts and recorders/clerks offices.
    In addition, Charles maintains leadership positions in many of the industry committees, workgroups and organizations. He serves as the Chair of MISMO Education & MISMO Board ex-officio, Co-Chair of the Title workgroup for MISMO, a member of the Council of Chairs for MISMO, Past-Chair of the Document Custody Workgroup, a member of the ALTA Technology Committee, and Co-Chair of the Membership Marketing Committee for PRIA. He has also been elected to the Board of Directors for the PRIA, the MISMO Residential Standards Governance Committee, and was selected in 2009 as a “Technology All-Star” for Mortgage Banking Magazine.

    Mario Palarca is a Director of Governance at Fannie Mae. He is responsible for the day-to-day operations of Certification and Custody for the Single-Family book of business. This includes Single-Family Document Custodian Oversight and Loan Level Tracking. In addition, Mario owns the relationship with Mortgage Electronic Registration Systems, Inc. and manages the MERS Program Office. Furthermore, Mario manages a Support Services and Governance team that performs Production Support, Business Analysis, Automation and Governance for a variety of Operational processes. 

    Before assuming his current position, Mario was a Servicing Manager and a Project Manager in Single-Family Mortgage Operations. He provided management oversight to the Exception Transaction Management team which was responsible for Delinquency Modifications and Servicing Transfers. In addition, he led operational projects as a Project Manager which included the development of new applications and the implementation of process improvements.  Previously, Mario provided project management expertise as a Project Manager at Freddie Mac.  Mario has a Bachelor of Business Administration from James Madison University and a Masters of Business Administration from George Mason University. He holds several certifications which include the Project Management Professional (PMP) and the Risk Management Professional (RMP) from the Project Management Institute. In addition, Mario is a Six Sigma Green Belt.

    Maria S. Garner, Senior Vice President, ReconTrust Company, N.A.

    Maria Garner is a Senior Vice President, Group Operations Manager with ReconTrust Company, N. A. a Bank of America affiliated company. Maria is responsible for Agency and Customer Management. She holds a leadership role in Mortgage Banking Association’s Agency/Education workgroup. She is a member of the MBA Document Custody Workshop Workgroup, a workgroup that organizes and facilitates the MBA Document Custody Workshops held annually in Washington DC. Maria is a key contributor to the Agency focus groups, Fannie Mae, Freddie Mac and Ginnie Mae . She has been with Bank of America for 20 years and has over 25 years’ experience in the Mortgage Banking industry. Maria attended University of the Philippines where she attained a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Economics.

    Robin Belanger, Director Governance, Fannie Mae

    Robin Belanger is a Governance Director at responsible for strategic initiatives and relationship management in Fannie Mae’s Single Family Certification and Custody Oversight group.  Since joining Fannie Mae in 2010, Robin has held positions of Manager of Multifamily Certification and Custody, Director of Multifamily Acquisitions, and Director of Single Family Custody Operations. Prior to joining Fannie Mae, Robin spent over 25 years in the banking industry and has held the position of Senior Vice President of Wachovia’s Document Custody business and spent 14 years at Shawmut Bank working in both retail and Corporate Trust operations.    Robin has worked closely with the Mortgage Bankers of America’s Document Custody Committee where she served as roles of Chair and Vice Chair.    She has actively participated in industry panels at various MBA conferences.   Robin holds a Bachelor of Science and dual Masters Degrees – Business Administration and Distance Education and eLearning all from The University of Maryland University College in College Park, Maryland. 

    Anita Cooper, Non-Technical Project Manager, Fannie Mae

    Anita Cooper is a Non-Technical Project Manager in the Custody Operations Department at Fannie Mae. Her responsibility in this role is to manage and monitor the performance of all active Fannie Mae Document Custodians to ensure compliance within Fannie Mae's policy and guidelines and serve as Subject Matter Expert (SME) on other Fannie Mae initiatives. Anita joined Fannie Mae as a business analyst in the Document Custody department in 1994 and has spent her tenure in the operations department. In addition to her time spent in the custody area, she has worked in Acquisitions as well as Single Family Disclosure.

    Anita attended Hood College and has a Bachelor of Arts in biology and a Bachelor of Science in Medical Technology.

    Kenneth Thompson is a Loan Acquisitions Operations Manager in Freddie Mac’s Loan Acquisitions department.  He has been with Freddie Mac for 8 years. He is responsible for the operational support functions related to Pricing, Delivery and Funding of loans; as well as Document Custody Operations and MERS. His team is responsible for the business ownership of Loan Selling Advisor and related supporting applications including risk and controls and baseline activities required to purchase loans.  Prior to Loan Purchase, Ken managed in Freddie Mac’s Default, Fees and Claims, were his team served as liaison with loan servicing institutions, vendors, and other Freddie Mac partners to implement and monitor quality control activities to ensure that baseline processes and results are within compliance of company standards and policies. Ken holds a Bachelor of Science degree from Long Beach State University.

    Andrea Bridgeman, Associate General Counsel, Freddie Mac

    Andrea L. Bridgeman is an Associate General Counsel in the Single-Family Real Estate Law department of Freddie Mac’s Legal Division.  She has practiced in various capacities at Freddie Mac since 1988, with current responsibility for borrower document custodial matters and warehouse lending and for certain aspects of non-standard mortgage purchase transactions and operations, inter alia.  After graduating from the University of Virginia School of law, she worked in private practice as a securities lawyer and then in-house for several companies in Northern Virginia, including a residential real estate developer/syndicator.  Andrea has a BA in Classical Studies (archaeology concentration) from Bryn Mawr College.

    Jean L. Hull, Vice President, Citibank, NA

    Jean Hull is a Vice President for Citibank , NA and is a BP&A Sr Analyst for the  Document Custody team.  She is located in O’Fallon, Missouri.  She has 20 years experience in Document Custody and 30 years experience in the mortgage industry.  Her current responsibilities include managing the mortgage servicing rights transfers and all recertification’s for those transfers.  She help oversees the certification process and the relationships with our Third Party clients.  She has worked in all areas of Document Custody including pool certification, flow review, bulk review, and trailing documents.    Jean has been an active member of the MBA Document Custody Sub-Committee for 19 years, as well as the Sub-Committee’s Agency Workgroup.

Prior to coming to Ginnie Mae, he worked at Wells Fargo and has more than 20 years of experience in the housing finance industry.  Michael holds a MBA degree from George Washington University.

    Joseph Deller, Vice President, Product Development Manager, Wilmington Trust, N.A.

    Joe is a member of the Product Development team within the Global Capital Markets division of Wilmington Trust, a subsidiary of M&T Bank. His responsibilities include analyzing industry trends, collecting and analyzing market data, assessing opportunities and threats, developing strategies for new products and product enhancements ,and executing on these projects. Joe has a broad base of experience stemming from his many years of both business and technology management within the global financial services industry.

    Prior to joining Wilmington Trust in 2018, Joe held a variety of business and technology management positions at BNY Mellon, J.P. Morgan Chase, Citibank, and Chemical Bank. Joe holds a master’s degree in computer science from the NYU Polytechnic School of Engineering, and a  bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering from Marquette University. He is currently active in the Mortgage Industry Standards Maintenance Organization (MISMO), serving as a member of its Strategic Planning Committee, and is on the leadership teams of the Blockchain Community of Practice and the Emerging Technology Community of Practice.

    Angel R. Hernandez was appointed to Ginnie Mae as a Presidential Management Fellow in 2015.  In his present role, Angel’s responsibilities include the development of the policy and regulatory framework governing Ginnie Mae’s Mortgage-Backed Securities Program, the implementation of change management processes and enterprise strategic initiatives, as well as the incorporation of new technology, including digital mortgage solutions.  Angel holds a Juris Doctor degree and a securities law certificate from the Catholic University of America.  In 2017, Secretary Ben Carson recognized Angel with both, HUD’s Employee of the Year Award and HUD’s Community Service Award.

    Wade W. Gayle is currently Vice President/Operations Manager at Bank of New York Mellon responsible for the Ginnie Mae Customer Service Group (GinnieNET, GMEP 1.0 and MyGinnieMae). Wade has had over 30 years of experience working within the Ginnie Mae contracts. He started out as a pool processor/correction specialist at Chemical Bank under the Ginnie Mae contract. He is also the main facilitator/presenter for all the regional GinnieNET Training schedule by Ginnie Mae. Wade is the biggest fan of the late superstar singer Whitney Houston. During his spare time he likes to read (James Patterson novels), listens to 80s and 90s R&B music and travel.

    Rose Burton, CMB, AMP, Governance Analyst III, Fannie Mae

    Rose Burton has been with Fannie Mae for 3 years.  Prior to coming to Fannie Mae she was Group Vice President at SunTrust Bank, managing their Document Custody shop for 23 years.  She became a Certified Mortgage Banker in 2006 and brings 35 years of mortgage banking experience to Fannie Mae. 

    Kathryn Corbett, Vice President, BNY Mellon Corporate Trust\Government Solutions, Ginnie Mae

    Kathryn (Katie) Corbett is the Vice President/Operations Manager at Bank of New York Mellon’s Ginnie Mae Client Services Unit.  The Ginnie Mae Client Services Unit is Ginnie Mae’s Pool Processing and Central Paying and Transfer Agent.  Katie is responsible for managing the Ginnie Mae Operations office in Syracuse, some of the processes includes Final Certification and Recertification processing; Letter of Credit processing and Master Agreement processing. Katie has 17 years of Corporate Trust experience with BNY Mellon and 10 years dedicated to supporting Ginnie Mae.  When Katie graduated from SUNY Brockport with her Bachelors in 2002, she dreamt of a job with opportunities to travel.  After she accepted her first job at BNY Mellon as data processor the chances to travel presented itself, beginning an obsession with exploring new places and seizing the next big experience.

    Margarita Deuning is a Portfolio Manager, Collateral, at Carrington Mortgage Services. Margarita is responsible for the certification of the acquired agency portfolios.     Raj Penugonda is a Product Development Senior Business Lead at Freddie Mac and manages Freddie Mac eMortgage Program. He is responsible for managing and improving competitiveness of Freddie Mac’s eMortgage Program. In addition to managing internal strategic initiatives, he works very closely with various industry organizations and manages several joint GSE initiatives at the direction of FHFA to grow the eMortgage adoption in the industry.  Raj has experience of 16 years in the residential mortgage industry covering origination and default servicing areas. Prior to joining Freddie Mac, Raj was with Bank of America and Wells Fargo in several roles including product management, change management and process design  Raj holds a Master’s Degree in Engineering and is an Accredited Mortgage Professional (AMP).

    Michael Cafferky, EMortgage Program Manager, Fannie Mae

    Mike Cafferky is Fannie Mae’s Product Manager for electronic mortgages (eMortgages). Mike graduated with a BBA from the College of William & Mary and has spent the last 12 of his 28 years at Fannie Mae developing and managing Fannie Mae’s eMortgage initiatives.  Mike is widely recognized as an industry expert on the topic, is a frequent speaker on industry panels related to eMortgages and eClosings, and has provided educational sessions at industry conferences on eMortgage requirements and processes .  Mike routinely  works with Fannie Mae customers, technology vendors, document custodians, and warehouse funding providers to support their efforts to transition to electronic documents and closings.

    Camelia Martin, Director, Member Integration, MERSCORP Holdings, Inc.

    Ms. Martin leads the team at MERSCORP that is responsible for the integration of new MERS® System Members and MERS® eRegistry Participants. In this role, she works closely with a broad spectrum of the industry to analyze and support business integration efforts, facilitating the efficiencies gained from the use of electronic promissory notes (eNotes), the MERS® eRegistry, MERS as Original Mortgagee (MOM), and the MERS® System.     Ms. Martin has been with MERSCORP since 2005. Prior to her current role, she has held positions in the company’s legal and risk departments, focusing on matters relating to policy, compliance, and operational efficiency.

    MERSCORP Holdings, Inc. owns and operates the MERS® System, which tracks the servicing and beneficial ownership rights of more than 77% of all mortgages in the United States.  MERSCORP Holdings also owns and operates the MERS® eRegistry, the industry’s system of record for eNotes.

    Maria Garner is a Senior Vice President, Group Operations Manager with ReconTrust Company, N. A. a Bank of America affiliated company. Maria is responsible for Agency and Customer Management. She holds a leadership role in Mortgage Banking Association’s Agency/Education workgroup. She is a member of the MBA Document Custody Workshop Workgroup, a workgroup that organizes and facilitates the MBA Document Custody Workshops held annually in Washington DC. Maria is a key contributor to the Agency focus groups, Fannie Mae, Freddie Mac and Ginnie Mae . She has been with Bank of America for 20 years and has over 25 years’ experience in the Mortgage Banking industry. Maria attended University of the Philippines where she attained a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Economics.

    Stephanie Williams, Vice President, U.S. Bank Corporate Trust Division

    Stephanie Williams is Vice President at U.S. Bank National Association. Stephanie joined Fleet National Bank in 1991, later acquired by U.S. Bank in 1999 and is currently Site Manager for the Florence, SC Document Custody office and U.S. Bank Document Custody Services’ National Liaison with the GSEs and GNMA.  With over 25 years of Document Custody experience, Stephanie has substantial knowledge of GNMA, FNMA, and FHLMC agency guidelines, as well as vault maintenance, servicing standards, project management and implementation, and budget and revenue planning.  Stephanie has been an active member of the Mortgage Bankers Association’s Document Custody Committee and Agency Sub-committee since 2000 and has been co-chair of the Workshop Workgroup since 2012. She has a Bachelor of Science degree in Political Science from Francis Marion University in Florence.
