    Michael Fratantoni is MBA's Chief Economist and Senior Vice President of Research and Industry Technology. In this role, he is responsible for overseeing MBA's industry surveys, benchmarking studies, economic and mortgage originations forecasts, industry technology efforts, and policy development research for both single-family and commercial/multifamily markets. Additionally, Fratantoni is president and member of the Board of Directors of MISMO and serves on the CSP's Industry Advisory Group and the membership committee of MERS. Prior to joining MBA, Fratantoni worked in the industry in risk management and senior economist roles at Washington Mutual and Fannie Mae.

    Lori Brewer, Founder and Chief Executive Officer, LBA Ware

    LBA Ware™ Founder and CEO Lori Brewer is an accomplished entrepreneur and technology leader who has manifested her forward-thinking visions into the development of over 25 FinTech enterprise applications including CompenSafe™, the premier incentive compensation and sales performance management platform for mortgage lenders. As an officer in the U.S. Air Force, she wrote the first website for the C-130 Hercules System Program Office. Following the conclusion of her military service, she was hired as a software developer by a mid-sized independent mortgage lender and has never looked back. Over her 20+ year tenure in the industry, Brewer has become an indispensable technology resource and significant contributor to the body of research shaping the current industry conversation around loan originator compensation.

    Joe Langner, Chief Executive Officer, Blue Sage Solutions

    Joe Langner, CEO of Blue Sage, is responsible for establishing the Blue Sage platform as the industry’s technology of choice for direct lenders, retail lenders, wholesale lenders and correspondent lenders. A mortgage technology veteran, Joe was former chief operations officer at Ellie Mae and prior to that, he served as president of PCLender. Joe has more than 25 years of executive experience in the financial services and software industries, leading organizations ranging from start-ups to $900-million business units. He has consistently delivered increased revenue and market share in major industries. Joe’s expertise includes mortgage lending, product development, mobile applications and data mining.

    Marcos Carvalho, Co-Founder and Chief Revenue Officer, NestReady

    Marcos Carvalho is a serial entrepreneur who has over 15 years of experience in the real estate, mortgage, and technology industries.  He is a technology advocate who founded several tech companies with a vision and passion for transforming the homebuying experience for lenders, realtors, and homebuyers. Before founding NestReady, Marcos launched Navut, the first online relocation platform using big data and proprietary matchmaking algorithms to connect people to their ideal neighborhoods and the most suitable local real estate agents.  NestReady was then created following the demand of some of the largest financial institutions in North America for superior engaging solutions that would put lenders at the center of homebuying and provide actionable insights on their client’s journey.  As NestReady’s Chief Revenue Officer, Marcos’ mission is to empower mortgage companies, banks, and credit unions with their own end-to-end homebuying solution.

    Aaron King, Chief Executive Officer and Founder, Snapdocs

    Aaron King started working in the mortgage industry when he was a senior in high school. He obtained his notary license at 18, and founded a nationwide notary signing service when he was 21.   In 2013, Aaron founded Snapdocs, a technology company focused on perfecting mortgage closings. Snapdocs enables lenders and their settlement partners to bring the mortgage closing process online, creating a beautiful digital experience for their consumers.

    Xander O'Han, Manager, Enterprise Accounts, Plaid

    Xander O'Han manages Plaid's relationship with Enterprise customers across a diverse range of industries, with a specific focus on financial services and lending. Plaid is the leader in bank account linking solutions within the fintech industry, with customers including Venmo, Goldman Sachs, Square, and MoneyLion. With a recent $250M funding round, Xander is charged with helping drive Plaid's push into mortgage, enabling companies to leverage Plaid's products to digitize the application process and enhance the customer experience.

    Jeffrey Axelrod, Group Executive, Riivos

    Jeffrey Axelrod has 25 years of experience in the fintech and software spaces. He has had pivotal roles on management teams at multiple fintech companies and is an industry expert in the financial management of asset allocator firms. Prior to Riivos, Jeffrey served as CEO and founder of Cogency, a software company providing a partnership and portfolio accounting solution to the asset management space. Jeffrey was the architect of the Cogency product, which is being used by some of the largest asset allocators to manage over $100B in assets, and led Cogency to a successful acquisition by Backstop Solutions Group. As CTO at Backstop, he continued to drive the Cogency product and was responsible for all aspects of the SaaS technology and product development stack. Jeffrey has spoken often at conferences and seminars on topics such as liquidity, cash management, investor fee strategies, and the complexities of managing a multi-asset class portfolio.
