    Jeffrey M. Levine, Managing Director, Houlihan Lokey

    Mr. Levine is Co-Head of Houlihan Lokey’s Financial Institutions Group and a member of the firm’s Management Committee. He has nearly 30 years of investment banking experience in financial services, involving more than 125 corporate transactions, with a focus on the mortgage finance industry. He is based in Houlihan Lokey’s Miami office.  Previously, Mr. Levine was a partner and board member of Milestone Advisors, which was acquired by Houlihan Lokey in 2012.  Mr. Levine covers mortgage finance companies and REITs nationally as well as depositories in Florida and the Southeast U.S., where he assists clients in mergers and acquisitions and capital markets initiatives. One of the most active advisors in the mortgage banking M&A industry, Mr. Levine has completed more than 125 corporate transactions in his career and is a frequent lecturer and author in the financial services and mortgage industry. Representative clients include Apollo Bank, Apollo Commercial Real Estate Finance, Bayview Financial, CIT Bank, First Tennessee Bank, MetLife, Inc., New York Mortgage Trust, Royal Bank of Canada, TIAA-CREF, Washington Mutual, and Wells Fargo Home Loans.  Mr. Levine also has specific experience in the valuation and sale of related financial assets, such as loans and mortgage servicing rights.

    Jay Bray, Chairman, President and Chief Executive Officer, Mr. Cooper

    Jay Bray serves as the Chairman, President and Chief Executive Officer of Mr. Cooper Group. He also serves as President and CEO for Nationstar. Jay has also served in various leadership roles at Nationstar since joining the company in 2000.  Jay has nearly 25 years of experience in the mortgage servicing and originations industry. From 1988 to 1994, he worked with Arthur Andersen in Atlanta, Georgia, where he served as an audit manager from 1992 to 1994. From 1994 to 2000, Jay held a variety of leadership roles at Bank of America and predecessor entities, where he managed the asset backed securitization process for mortgage-related products, developed and implemented a secondary execution strategy and profitability plan and managed investment banking relationships, secondary marketing operations and investor relations. Additionally, Jay led the portfolio acquisition, pricing and modeling group at Bank of America.

    Bill Cosgrove, served as the 2015 Chairman of the Mortgage Bankers Association. Bill Cosgrove is the Owner and CEO of Union Home Mortgage Corp. headquartered in Strongsville, Ohio in the Greater Cleveland area. His mortgage banking career began in 1986 as a residential loan officer. In 1994 Mr. Cosgrove joined Union National Mortgage Co. and in 1998 was named President. Mr. Cosgrove purchased and became 100% stockholder of the company in 1999. In 2010.The name of the company was changed to Union Home Mortgage Corp. In 2007 Bill served as president of the Ohio MBA and in 2015 was the Chairman of the national Mortgage Bankers Association, becoming the first person from Ohio to serve the industry in both capacities. Previously, he served as chairman of MBA’s MORPAC Committee, MBA Board of Governors, and been a long-time member of the MBA Board of Directors. Awards include the distinguished Hoddup Award for his many contributions to the Ohio Mortgage Bankers Association, The National Mortgage Bankers Associations Burton C. Wood, National Legislative Service Award and the prestigious Andrew Woodward Distinguished Service Award, the highest honor bestowed on an individual member of MBA. Mr. Cosgrove has testified on behalf of the industry before Congress, House Financial Services and Senate Banking Committees and the Ohio House of Representatives. He has been interviewed by national publications, The Wall Street Journal, New York Times, USA Today, numerous trade publications, national and local news networks.

    Chris Frieden, co-leader of Alston & Bird’s Financial Services & Products Group, focuses his practice on public and private mergers and acquisitions and corporate finance transactions. Key players in the financial services industry, including banks, mortgage companies, wealth management, and investment advisory firms rely on Chris to guide them through business combination and securities transactions as well as ownership transition and succession planning transactions.     Robert Bush, Head of Strategy, Home Mortgage, Citizen Bank

    Rob has been in financial services for more than 15-years, all of which have been served at Citizens Bank (aka Citizens Financial Group). He spent the early part of his career in retail banking, serving in different capacities. He eventually moved on to help the bank improve its financial performance through the execution of Lean Transformations and several other financial improvement programs that were tied to bank’s IPO in 2014. Rob moved into the Home Mortgage business of Citizens 3-years ago where he served as the Head of Strategy, helping to develop and implement critical initiatives throughout the business including the recent acquisition of Franklin American Mortgage Company (FAMC). He continues his work in the mortgage business, leading the integration of FAMC.

    Terry L. Schmidt, CMB, Executive Vice President and Chief Financial Officer and Principal, Guild Mortgage Company

    Terry Schmidt is an Executive Vice President, Chief Financial Officer and Principal at Guild Mortgage Company. Ms. Schmidt joined the company in 1985. She is responsible for the financial reporting, budgeting, cash management, warehouse lending and human resource functions. Ms. Schmidt also evaluates potential acquisition candidates, including transaction structures, and integration team management. Over the years she has performed system innovations and conversions related to her areas of responsibility as well as developing value added branch and company metrics, and designing a proprietary MSR valuation and impairment model. Ms. Schmidt has also served on the Board of Directors for Guild since 1996.  Ms. Schmidt also established The Guild Giving Foundation. The charity was formed to encourage employee volunteerism, support financial literacy and provide shelter for those in need.

    Lauren Pryor is a partner in Mayer Brown’s Financial Services Regulatory & Enforcement practice and co-lead of the Financial Institutions M&A group.  Lauren focuses her practice on counseling clients in M&A, corporate and business transactional matters in the financial services industry, including advising publicly held and private companies involved in mergers, acquisitions and divestitures and transfers of assets, including mortgage servicing rights and whole loan sales.  Lauren has experience negotiating and drafting bulk and flow mortgage servicing rights purchase and sale agreements (including in connection with the Ginnie Mae PIIT program), whole loan sale agreements for performing and non-performing assets, correspondent agreements and servicing arrangements. Fast forward to June 2003 when Dan followed his dream and started his own mortgage company. This dream was accomplished by establishing a respected reputation as a reliable local mortgage banker in San Antonio for the past 13 years.
