    Bill Cosgrove, CMB, 2015 MBA Chairman, Chief Executive Officer, Union Home Mortgage Corporation

    Bill Cosgrove, served as the 2015 Chairman of the Mortgage Bankers Association. Bill Cosgrove is the Owner and CEO of Union Home Mortgage Corp. headquartered in Strongsville, Ohio in the Greater Cleveland area. His mortgage banking career began in 1986 as a residential loan officer. In 1994 Mr. Cosgrove joined Union National Mortgage Co. and in 1998 was named President. Mr. Cosgrove purchased and became 100% stockholder of the company in 1999. In 2010.The name of the company was changed to Union Home Mortgage Corp. In 2007 Bill served as president of the Ohio MBA and in 2015 was the Chairman of the national Mortgage Bankers Association, becoming the first person from Ohio to serve the industry in both capacities. Previously, he served as chairman of MBA’s MORPAC Committee, MBA Board of Governors, and been a long-time member of the MBA Board of Directors. Awards include the distinguished Hoddup Award for his many contributions to the Ohio Mortgage Bankers Association, The National Mortgage Bankers Associations Burton C. Wood, National Legislative Service Award and the prestigious Andrew Woodward Distinguished Service Award, the highest honor bestowed on an individual member of MBA. Mr. Cosgrove has testified on behalf of the industry before Congress, House Financial Services and Senate Banking Committees and the Ohio House of Representatives. He has been interviewed by national publications, The Wall Street Journal, New York Times, USA Today, numerous trade publications, national and local news networks.

    Marina B. Walsh, Vice President, Industry Analysis Research and Economics, Mortgage Bankers Association

    Marina Walsh is vice president of industry analysis in MBA's research and economics department, specializing in industry performance benchmarking for residential lenders and servicers. She has worked in real estate finance for close to twenty years. Currently, she leads the management and direction for the annual and quarterly Mortgage Bankers Performance Reports, the Servicing Operations Study and Forum, the Peer Group Survey and Roundtable Program, the Mortgage Banking Compensation Survey Program and other ad hoc surveys and policy analyses. She is also MBA's spokesperson for the Quarterly National Delinquency Survey. In addition, Walsh conducts specialty workshops, symposiums and roundtables on a variety of current topics critical to the mortgage industry and provides program advisory support for several conferences, particularly MBA's Accounting and Financial Management Conference and its National Servicing Conference. She is an instructor for several MBA Education webinars and courses, including the Introductory and Advanced Schools of Mortgage Servicing and the Future Leaders Program. Results of her work have been published in all of the major trade publications as well as national and local newspapers. She is a frequent speaker at MBA and other industry events and conferences. Walsh was named to HousingWire's "2016 Women of Influence" list. The list, which is based on nominations from the industry, highlights women who are making significant contributions to mortgage banking and real estate. Prior to joining MBA, Walsh was a manager in Ernst and Young's Real Estate Advisory Services Group where her focus was Federal credit program design, implementation and performance measurement. She started her career in the Management Training Program, then subsequently the financial planning division, of the Port Authority of NY & NJ.

    Terry L. Schmidt, CMB, Executive Vice President and Chief Financial Officer and Principal, Guild Mortgage Company

    Terry Schmidt is an Executive Vice President, Chief Financial Officer and Principal at Guild Mortgage Company. Ms. Schmidt joined the company in 1985. She is responsible for the financial reporting, budgeting, cash management, warehouse lending and human resource functions. Ms. Schmidt also evaluates potential acquisition candidates, including transaction structures, and integration team management. Over the years she has performed system innovations and conversions related to her areas of responsibility as well as developing value added branch and company metrics, and designing a proprietary MSR valuation and impairment model. Ms. Schmidt has also served on the Board of Directors for Guild since 1996.  Ms. Schmidt also established The Guild Giving Foundation. The charity was formed to encourage employee volunteerism, support financial literacy and provide shelter for those in need.

    Seth D. Sprague, CMB, Executive Vice President, Trading & Analytics, PHOENIX

    Seth D. Sprague CMB, EVP of Trading & Analytics, joined PHOENIX in 2013 after more than ten years with SunTrust Mortgage managing mortgage servicing rights (MSR) portfolio valuation process as well as their periodic MSR transactions. Seth’s primary responsibilities at PHOENIX include managing bulk and flow MSR transactions and offering strategic advice across PHOENIX’s250 plus clients. In 2017, Seth’s duties were expanded to include a more active role in the strategic leadership in PHOENIX Analytics with an emphasis on developing and providing strategic valuation solutions to meet the needs of clients. Seth has a total of over 25 years of mortgage banking and servicing valuation experience at a variety of firms including SunTrust Mortgage, Bank of America Mortgage, United Financial/Matrix Financial and KPMG LLP.  In 2018, Seth was selected as Secretary of the MBA’s Certified Mortgage Banker (CMB) Society and continues to serve on a number of committees with the Mortgage Bankers Association (MBA) including the Financial Management Steering Committee, MBA’s Servicing Council for the 21st Century, MBA’s BASEL III and the Servicing Compensation Working Group. Seth is a frequent speaker at various MBA and other industry conferences often speaking on liquidity and the overall challenges present in the mortgage industry. Seth has been an instructor with the MBA’s School of Mortgage Banking (SOMB) program since 2007, teaching “Servicing/MSR Day” and also as an instructor for the MBA School of Mortgage Servicing.

    Ken Logan, CMB, Managing Director, WareHouse Lending and Head of Wells Fargo's Mortgage Bankers Finance Group, Wells Fargo Home Mortgage

    Mr. Logan served as Managing Director of Warehouse Lending and Head of Wells Fargo’s Mortgage Banker Finance Group since 2007 and his role has been expanded to include the strategic direction of the broader Mortgage Finance Group. This group focuses on providing warehouse lines and structured lending facilities backed by various forms of residential mortgage assets to mortgage bankers and investors nationally.  Mr. Logan has over 30 years of experience in many facets of the banking, mortgage and investment banking industries. Over his career, Mr. Logan has held President/Founder positions for four warehouse lending and correspondent businesses, President/CEO of a national outsourcing and consulting practice, co-owner of a regional mortgage banking company, provided M&A advisory and expert witness resources on mortgage fraud and lending practices on civil matters and federal criminal cases.

    Kirstin McMullen, CFO, The Money Source Inc.

    As chief financial officer with The Money Source, Kirstin McMullen brings more than 25 years of financial management experience to the company. McMullen is an expert in financial planning and monitoring, ensuring the financial health of The Money Source as it continues to grow. Prior to this position, McMullen was CFO at Computershare Loan Services. Her lengthy financial background includes experience in raising debt and equi-ty, M&A transactions, financial modeling and budgeting, overseeing production of audited financial statements, corporate governance and compliance reporting.
