    Elijah Pallante oversees digital strategy and operational efficiency for loanDepot, as the Senior Vice President, Enterprise Innovation. He has been with the company for more than five years and has over 15 years of industry experience covering mortgage, non-performing loans and asset management (aka NPL). Prior to joining loanDepot, Pallante headed REO operations at Arch Bay Capital, as well as Operations Risk for Discover Home Loans. He also served in leadership roles at MBNA, NationPoint, LendingTree, Auction.com and Kondaur Capital Corp. Pallante holds a degree in Labor Law from Pennsylvania State University.

    Nicholas Volpe, Chief Strategy Officer, ACES Risk Management

    Mr. Volpe has over 20 years experience in the mortgage industry providing products to both mortgage lenders and servicers.  He was on the original team at The Murrayhill Company and was integral in pioneering credit risk oversight for mortgage loan securitizations. Before joining ARMCO, Volpe helped established origination and servicing quality control businesses and lead integration teams in multiple acquisitions. Mr. Volpe is a subject matter expert in the mortgage space authoring multiple articles and speaking at industry events. As Chief Strategy Officer at ARMCO, Nick will map the course for future product development, execute corporate initiatives, and work directly with clients to chart market needs. 

    Tara Pettersen, Senior Vice President, Risk Management, CMG Financial

    Tara Pettersen is the Senior Vice President of Risk Management for CMG Mortgage, Inc. dba CMG Financial.  In this role she oversees Compliance, Licensing, Fraud, Vendor Management, Quality Control, External Audit, and  functionally oversees Internal Audit. Tara works closely with Correspondent, Wholesale, Retail, and Executive Management to ensure compliance and mitigate risk.

    Mr. Brenning is the Chief Production Officer of Deephaven Mortgage, where he oversees sales and client development. Prior to Deephaven, Mike held many senior leadership roles in correspondent & wholesale sales, capital markets, and marketing. Most recently, he was the VP of Correspondent/Wholesale & Strategic Partnerships at Quicken Loans. Prior to Quicken Loans, Mike was on the Executive Team at HSBC Mortgage Services as SVP of National Sales & Marketing. Mike also spent seven years at GMAC-RFC in both a sales and capital markets capacity. He holds an M.B.A. in Finance from Montreat College and a B.A. from Hamline University where he studied economics.

    Ben Wu, Executive Director, LoanScorecard

    Ben Wu has more than 20 years of mortgage industry experience and serves as Executive Director of LoanScorecard, a leading partner for banks and investors seeking fair lending and loan-loss reserve technology solutions. Wu brought to market the first automated QM assessment tool, making LoanScorecard top-of-mind for automated underwriting for portfolio loans. He diligently works alongside clients, addressing concerns and opportunities related to automated underwriting, loan pricing, credit risk models, and portfolio management. Wu holds a Bachelor's degree from UC Berkeley and a Master's degree in Computer Science from Stanford.

    Tanya Wilson-Orr, Manager, Due Diligence Operations, LenderLive, Part of the Computershare Group

    Tanya Wilson-Orr has spent over 25 years establishing a progressive career in residential mortgage.  She is currently is employed as the Manager of Due Diligence Operations at Lender Live, a part of the Computershare Group.  In this role, Tanya has assisted in the start up of the due diligence platform; working in areas including diligence software development, integration and client relations.  The current platform provides due diligence review for several Non QM clients.   Prior to joining Lender Live, Tanya held other leadership roles in Due Diligence, Credit Policy, Risk Management and Residential Mortgage Underwriting and Operations including working in a client relations role at Redwood Trust in the Jumbo QM and Non QM arena.  Tanya also spent 11 years at Aurora Loan Services in both correspondent underwriting operations and credit policy. She holds a Bachelors degree from The Ohio State University.

    Danny Horanyi, Head of Non-Agency Lending, Caliber Home Loans

    Danny is a seasoned mortgage producer who was previously a nationally-ranked top 10 Loan Officer in Scotsman Guide. In 2016 alone, Danny and his team produced 874 units for $391M in total loan volume. He has spoken at industry-leading events including the Mastermind Summit, Fuse, and Sales Mastery. He currently heads non-Agency production at Caliber, which is comprised of their proprietary portfolio product suite.

    Sheila leads the Quality Assurance team at Genworth Mortgage Insurance.  She has over 25 years of experience in mortgage lending in both the mortgage insurance and correspondent lending arenas.  Sheila has held various positions ranging from underwriting and third-party risk management to quality assurance.   She has an MBA from DePaul University and is a Certified Mortgage Banker. 

    Kat Foster, SVP Credit Risk, Guild Mortgage Company

    Kat Foster joined the company in 1986. Ms. Foster is responsible for credit approval, credit policy and risk management and has been essential in developing Guild’s loan origination and underwriting systems and in driving the company’s continued growth and risk strategies. She started as Underwriting Assistant and became an underwriter, obtaining her FHA and VA credentials in the early 1990’s. She advanced to Corporate Underwriting Manager in 2010 and Vice President of Underwriting in 2013. She is experienced with structuring loans and delivering them to the secondary market; her extensive knowledge in assessing risk and developing protocol led to her elevation to Senior Vice President, Director of Credit Risk in 2014. She is involved with the leadership program of the California Mortgage Bankers Association. She studied at Cannon Business School in Hawaii, graduating with a degree in business in 1982.
