    Michael Fratantoni is MBA's Chief Economist and Senior Vice President of Research and Industry Technology. In this role, he is responsible for overseeing MBA's industry surveys, benchmarking studies, economic and mortgage originations forecasts, industry technology efforts, and policy development research for both single-family and commercial/multifamily markets. Additionally, Fratantoni is president and member of the Board of Directors of MISMO and serves on the CSP's Industry Advisory Group and the membership committee of MERS. Prior to joining MBA, Fratantoni worked in the industry in risk management and senior economist roles at Washington Mutual and Fannie Mae.

    James M. Deitch, CMB, CPA, Chief Executive Officer, Teraverde Financial

    James M. Deitch is an entrepreneur, having founded two national banks, several mortgage banking ventures, and four technology-oriented companies.  He currently serves as co-founder and CEO of Teraverde group of companies. Teraverde is a professional advisor to financial services companies.  Teraverde helps banks and mortgage bankers achieve greater profitability, streamlined operations and process improvement while staying fully compliant with regulatory requirements.  Teraverde offer Coheus®, a profit intelligence platform to increase lender profitability. Prior to Teraverde, Deitch was co-founder, Chairman and CEO of American Home Bank N.A.  Under Deitch’s leadership, American Home Bank has been cited as one of the fastest growing companies in the United States by INC. Magazine. The Bank was named one of the top 50 residential lenders in the United States by SourceMedia, publisher of American Banker.  American Home Bank was ultimately acquired by BBT.

    Jim is a frequent author for industry publications.  Most recently, he authored “Digitally Transforming the Mortgage Banking Industry”, which was a #1 best selling new release in its category.  His next book, “Strategically Transforming the Mortgage Banking Industry” was released in October, 2018.  It attained #1 best selling new release in its category.

    Robert D. Broeksmit, CMB, President and Chief Executive Officer, Mortgage Bankers Association

    Robert Broeksmit (Bob) is President and CEO of the Mortgage Bankers Association (MBA).  Bob is a senior finance executive and corporate officer with a 33-year career in the mortgage sector. He has directed all aspects of lending activities, including marketing, sales, operations, secondary marketing, loan servicing, and default management. He has also served as a mortgage underwriting expert testifying on many large, high-profile cases. Prior to joining MBA in 2018, Bob served as President and Chief Operating Officer with Treliant, heading the firm's mortgage litigation support practice and serving diverse financial services clientele including large banks, independent mortgage lenders, community banks, credit unions, and service providers to the mortgage industry. As a Washington-based financial services consultancy, Treliant's mortgage practice included strategic advisory for executive management and corporate boards; litigation defense, including file reviews, litigation strategy, expert reports, and expert testimony; CFPB examination preparation and implementation of mortgage regulations promulgated by the CFPB and other regulators; and operational aspects of mortgage banking, ranging from origination to servicing and loss mitigation.

    Before Treliant, Bob held senior leadership positions in the mortgage business, including fourteen years with Chevy Chase Bank (including after its purchase by Capital One), where he was Executive Vice President and President of its B.F. Saul Mortgage Company subsidiary. Bob also was a Vice President at Prudential Home Mortgage for seven years. He has overseen annual originations of $9 billion, a balance sheet of $10 billion in residential mortgages, and a servicing portfolio of $20 billion. He also held positions at Great Western Mortgage, Krupp Residential Mortgage, and The Money Store. Bob has served as the Chairman of the Mortgage Bankers Association's Residential Board of Governors and as a member of its Board of Directors. Firms under his leadership have garnered multiple awards for servicing operations excellence, including Freddie Mac's Tier One and Hall of Fame designations. He is a Certified Mortgage Banker (CMB) and a graduate of Yale University.

    John Stocchetti, Executive Vice President and Group Head, Mortgage Partnership Finance® (MPF®) Program, Federal Home Loan Bank of Chicago

    John Stocchetti has been with the Bank since 2006 and is currently Executive Vice President and Group Head of the Mortgage Partnership Finance® (MPF®) Program, a responsibility he assumed in January 2014. From May 2008 to January 2014, Mr. Stocchetti was Executive Vice President and Group Head, Products and Operations (formerly Products, Operations, and Technology), where he led a number of initiatives to upgrade, re-organize, and re-engineer the Bank’s operations and technology. Mr. Stocchetti served as Senior Vice President, Project Premier Director of the Bank from 2006 to 2008, where he led the effort to implement an enterprise-wide systems platform that is now the Bank's main operating platform. Prior to joining the Bank, Mr. Stocchetti served in several positions from 2004 to 2006, including Chief Financial Officer, at Ritchie Capital Management, LLC, a multi-strategy hedge fund. Previously, Mr. Stocchetti served in various capacities from 1997 to 2004, including CEO, with Learning Insights, Inc., an e-learning internet company. From 1995 to 1997, Mr. Stocchetti was a Senior Vice President with NationsBank where he was the head of interest rate derivatives operations on a global basis and the Chief Operating Officer of NationsBank Financial Products, a AAA-rated derivatives company. From 1978 to 1995, Mr. Stocchetti was with Continental Bank in Chicago, Illinois, where he held various positions, the latest of which was as a Managing Director of Derivative Products. Mr. Stocchetti holds a Masters of Business Administration from the University of Chicago and earned a Bachelors of Science in economics from the University of Illinois at Chicago. Mr. Stocchetti served as an adjunct professor at the Illinois Institute of Technology where he taught classes for six years in the graduate level Financial Markets and Trading program.

    Katherine currently leads the Home Mortgage Quality Assurance & Quality Control teams, for Third Party Originations, with Citizens Bank; she worked in a similar capacity for Franklin American Mortgage, which was acquired by Citizens Bank in 2018.  She has over 25 years experience in banking and mortgage and has previously held senior leadership roles in the areas of Underwriting, Quality Control, Fraud, Risk Management, and Mortgage Servicing. 

    Geoffrey A. Oliver, CPA, CFF, CMB, Chief Executive Officer, The Hilltop Companies

    Jeff is the CEO of Hilltop Advisors LLC.  He is a nationally recognized expert on banking and real estate finance (residential and commercial).  He has obtained the Certified Mortgage Banker (CMB) designation in recognition of such.  His strategic view and “practical solutions” for the real estate finance and mortgage capital markets arena have earned him a reputation as one of the leading industry professionals.  Many of the industry’s leading companies have utilized Jeff’s financial, operational, technology, audit and accounting and risk management skills to achieve their strategic objectives.  Specifically, Jeff blends his functional skills (accounting, auditing, financial advisory, risk management) with his significant industry experience (real estate finance, real estate, consumer lending, commercial lending, banking, fixed income markets, securitization and syndication) to deliver consistent high quality recommendations to the senior management of his clients.   Jeff has been very successful at identifying opportunities to enhance operational efficiency and improve the “bottom line”. 

    Jeff served in many leadership roles (KPMG’s Lending & Securitization practices, Consumer Lending practice, Homebuilder practice and BearingPoint’s consulting and restatement team lead for Freddie Mac).  He formed Hilltop Advisors, LLC in June 2005.  Hilltop Advisors, LLC focuses exclusively on providing consulting and accounting/audit advisory services to clients in the Financial Services, Federal finance sector agencies (involved in lending, mortgage insurance, loan guarantees, securitizing loans and regulating the financial services industry) and Real Estate industries. 

    Teresa Blake, Managing Director, KPMG LLP

    Teresa Blake is a Managing Director at KPMG LLP.  In this role, Teresa assists lenders with business optimization/transformation programs and technology platform installations with the goal of improving customer experience, reducing cost and complexity.  She has over 25 years of diverse management experience, formulating and implementing organizational change strategies, process improvements, and technology solutions. 

    Jennifer Horne, Vice President, Anti Fraud and Anti Money Laundering, Fannie Mae

    Jennifer Horne is Fannie Mae’s Vice President – Anti-Fraud and Anti-Money Laundering. Jen is responsible for overseeing Fannie Mae’s mortgage fraud, enterprise anti-fraud, and anti-money laundering programs. Before joining Fannie Mae in 2005, Horne held various roles at FTI Consulting, KPMG LLP, and Arthur Andersen LLP.  In these capacities she advised clients on matters related to litigation, forensic services, and business dispute resolution. Jen has a bachelor of science in business administration, with a concentration in finance, from the University of Richmond Robins School of Business. She is a certified fraud examiner and a certified anti-money laundering specialist.

Previously, Matt worked at Bank of America/Countrywide Home Loans where he was a Vice President in Representations & Warranties MI Strategy. Matt has held various secondary marketing, servicing and sales positions in sixteen years in the mortgage industry.

    Gregory A. Keith, Senior Vice President & Chief Risk Officer, Office of Enterprise Risk, Ginnie Mae

    Gregory A. Keith joined Ginnie Mae as SVP & Chief Risk Officer in 2010. In this capacity, he monitors the corporation’s aggregate risk and compliance with risk policies, develops and maintains corporate-wide procedures for risk management, and provides independent evaluation and oversight of all risk management activities.

    Keith has more than 30 years of experience in the financial services industry. Much of this experience has been in mortgage and asset backed finance. Prior to joining Ginnie Mae, Keith spent nine years in various roles at Fannie Mae. These roles spanned across multiple disciplines including strategy, risk and finance.

    In 2001, Keith came to Fannie Mae from First Union Bank, where he was Vice President of Business Integration. There, he served as the Deputy Chief Operating Officer for the Structured Products Group of the Corporate and Investment Bank.

    In the past, Keith also served as a Manager at KPMG Consulting, focusing on the execution of strategic, financial, and operational engagements. Prior to joining KPMG, Keith worked as a Forecasting and Planning Analyst at American Residential Mortgage Corporation and as a Financial Analyst at Great American Bank.

    Keith holds a Bachelor of Arts from San Diego State University.

    Michael Wood, Senior Vice President, Credit Risk Executive, Bank of America

    Michael Wood is Executive of Credit Policy & Controls for the Consumer Bank, in this capacity Wood serves as the Executive for Consumer Credit products, including Mortgage, Home Equity, Auto, U.S. Credit Card and Small Business Lending. Wood joined the Bank of America team in Columbus in 2016. Prior to joining Bank of America in January of 2016, he served as Executive Director Credit Risk Management for Morgan Stanley, with responsibility for credit policy, oversight of lending authority, decision engine management, quality assurance, and governance oversight for Mortgage Retail Lending Credit Risk regulatory requirements. His previous positions have included risk, credit policy and servicing roles with New Century, Washington Mutual, and PMI Mortgage Insurance Co. across his 25-year financial services career.

    Gwen Muse-Evans, President & CEO, GME Enterprises

    Gwen Muse-Evans is President and CEO of GME Enterprises, a management consulting firm that specializes in providing risk management, operations management, strategic planning and housing finance advisory services to corporate, nonprofit and government clients. Gwen has expertise in the discipline of Enterprise Risk Management, extensive knowledge of the housing finance industry, and demonstrated experience implementing start-up business divisions and risk management programs at major financial services organizations.

    Prior to starting her advisory practice, Gwen was most recently the Senior Vice President and Chief Risk Officer for the Credit Portfolio Management and Single Family businesses at Fannie Mae where she served from 2001 until 2014. Prior to 2001 Gwen served in several corporate executive roles including at JPMorgan Chase, GE Capital Mortgage Services and Household Financial Services. Gwen earned her MBA in Finance from Rutgers University, a BBA from Pacific Lutheran University, is a Certified Enterprise Risk Professional, a Certified Project Management Professional and a faculty member at the American Bankers Association’s School of Risk Management.

He has been with the company for more than five years and has over 15 years of industry experience covering mortgage, non-performing loans and asset management (aka NPL). Prior to joining loanDepot, Pallante headed REO operations at Arch Bay Capital, as well as Operations Risk for Discover Home Loans. He also served in leadership roles at MBNA, NationPoint, LendingTree, Auction.com and Kondaur Capital Corp. Pallante holds a degree in Labor Law from Pennsylvania State University.

    Nicholas Volpe, Chief Strategy Officer, ACES Risk Management

    Mr. Volpe has over 20 years experience in the mortgage industry providing products to both mortgage lenders and servicers.  He was on the original team at The Murrayhill Company and was integral in pioneering credit risk oversight for mortgage loan securitizations. Before joining ARMCO, Volpe helped established origination and servicing quality control businesses and lead integration teams in multiple acquisitions. Mr. Volpe is a subject matter expert in the mortgage space authoring multiple articles and speaking at industry events. As Chief Strategy Officer at ARMCO, Nick will map the course for future product development, execute corporate initiatives, and work directly with clients to chart market needs. 

    Tara Pettersen, Senior Vice President, Risk Management, CMG Financial

    Tara Pettersen is the Senior Vice President of Risk Management for CMG Mortgage, Inc. dba CMG Financial.  In this role she oversees Compliance, Licensing, Fraud, Vendor Management, Quality Control, External Audit, and  functionally oversees Internal Audit. Tara works closely with Correspondent, Wholesale, Retail, and Executive Management to ensure compliance and mitigate risk.

    Jack Higgins, Director, Quality Assurance Division, Federal Housing Administration

    Jack Higgins is the Director of FHA’s Quality Assurance Division, which is part of Single Family Housing’s Office of Lender Activities and Program Compliance at HUD headquarters.  He joined HUD in 2010 as a Presidential Management Fellow and has served in various roles within the Office of Single Family Housing, primarily as a policy analyst and manager of special projects.  In 2017, he spearheaded the effort to design and deploy FHA’s Loan Review System, which implemented a new Defect Taxonomy and streamlined FHA’s quality assurance processes.  Prior to joining HUD, Jack worked as a consultant for nonprofits, state and local governments, and other public-sector institutions.  He was also a volunteer coordinator for a small international development organization, and he worked for several years as a homebuilder.  He has a BA in International Relations from the University of Virginia and an MPA from the University of Pennsylvania.

    Brian J. Cantrell, Program Analyst, Quality Assurance Team, U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs

    Brian Cantrell is a Quality Assurance Team Member with the Department of Veterans Affairs, Home Loan Guaranty Program. He joined the VA Home Loan Guaranty Program in 2014 working in various roles as a program specialist and quality assurance auditor.  Prior to joining the Department of Veterans Affairs, he worked for Branch Banking and Trust as a loan officer after graduating from BB&T’s leadership development program. Before banking he served in the United States Navy as a Naval Officer. Brian has a BA in management with a minor in Leadership from Virginia Tech.

    Michelle Corridon, Deputy Director, Single Family Housing Guaranteed Loan Division, Rural Development, United States Department of Agriculture

    Michelle C. Corridon is the Deputy Director of USDA Rural Housing Service’s Single Family Housing Guaranteed Loan Division based in Washington, DC.  She has over 28 years of housing finance experience encompassing strategic planning, community development, policy analysis, credit loss mitigation strategy, and communications.  In her role as Deputy Director, she leads high impact policy and procedure implementation along with process improvement, stakeholder engagement, budgeting, and human resources for the $24 billion dollar loan guarantee program.  Prior to assuming her current duties in September 2015, she served as a Senior Policy Analyst at the Federal Housing Finance Agency in the Office of Housing and Regulatory Policy where she focused on project and program management.  From 2008 to 2012, she was a Rural Housing Service loan specialist concentrating on lender eligibility, compliance, and program risk management.  She began her career at the Farmers Home Administration originating and servicing single family housing and farm loans.  Michelle is a graduate of Virginia Tech and the Partnership for Public Service Excellence in Government program and holds Project Management Professional and Lean Six Sigma Green Belt certificates.  She resides in Ashland, Virginia with her two children.

    Chrissi Johnson, Vice President of Federal Policy and External Affairs, Quicken Loans

    Chrissi Johnson is Vice President for Federal Policy and External Affairs at Quicken Loans. In this role, she coordinates the Quicken Loans and the Family of Companies’ position on mission-critical Federal public policy issues covering a broad spectrum of topics, including financial regulatory reform, GSE reform, HUD/FHA reform, private-label securitization (PLS) reform, and legal barriers to Fintech innovation. She leads all third-party stakeholder outreach efforts, including trade associations, consumer advocacy and civil rights groups, think tanks, market peers, and Washington, D.C. financial beat reporters. She also develops and executes strategic plans to advocate for these critical policy issues. Before joining Quicken Loans, she served as Chief of Staff of the Division of External Affairs at the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau (CFPB). Prior to the CFPB, she was Director of Scheduling for Elizabeth Warren’s Senate campaign, worked with Senator Al Franken, the Democratic National Committee, and President Barack Obama’s 2008 Presidential campaign in Missouri.

Whether spawned by an increase in purchase transactions, or specific regional conditions, lenders need to be proactive if they want to avoid the financial losses associated with fraudulent loans. Experts focus on loan data, which data lenders should be looking at, how they can gather it and how to analyze it to make the adjustments that stop today’s fraud schemes.

    Don Effertz is Vice President of Fraud Risk Management at DataVerify where he manages a team of seasoned mortgage and fraud professionals who are responsible for assisting with client product understanding, training, customization and product enhancement.  This team also advises clients on product integration, workflow analysis and adjustments to their DRIVE platform to maximize ROI.  Effertz joined DataVerify in January of 2009 following a 25 year career in mortgage banking with a primary focus on Operational Risk Management, Quality Assurance and Fraud Prevention.  He has published several articles in national periodicals concerning mortgage fraud awareness and prevention and has conducted fraud awareness training courses across the country.  Prior to DataVerify he was with JPMorganChase as SVP over Operational Risk Management where his duties included fraud prevention and investigation, operational risk management, operational quality audits (production and servicing QC), early payment default audits and branch operational audits.  While with JPMorganChase he was a member and former chair of the Operational Risk Management Committee, a member of Freddie Mac’s Fraud Roundtable and MBA’s Fraud and Ethics Subcommittee.  Effertz hold a Bachelor of Science degree from St. John’s University in Collegeville, MN.

Her previous experience spans auditing loan servicing, origination compliance, consumer banking and commercial real estate. Prior to joining ARMCO, Ms. Reichhardt was EverBank’s lead administrator and report writer for ACES. She served as QC audit coordinator for external audits including FNMA, FHLMC, HUD, CFPB and OCC, and was instrumental in improving business processes such as executive reporting, regulatory reporting, and quality assurance. Ms. Reichhardt's hands on experience as an ACES administrator in a Quality Control environment gives her a unique perspective to assist clients with implementation, and the many ways ACES can be customized for a range of products and workflows.

    Charles Delmolino is the Vice President of Loan Quality at The Money Source Inc. He is a risk-based leader with over 13 years of Mortgage Banking experience in Origination Operations, Credit Risk Management, Origination/Servicing Quality Control, and Fraud Detection. Charles has played an integral role in the development and management of effective and invaluable Quality Control programs in both Origination and Servicing environments. He is recognized for directing operational improvement through collaboration and transparency with the utilization of data analytics to identify, manage, and minimize areas of potential risk inside and outside of an organization.

    Anshul Aggarwal, Chief Risk Officer, LoanCare

    Anshul Aggarwal is currently Chief Risk Officer at LoanCare. In this role, he spearheads a diverse team of risk professionals within Enterprise Risk Management organization, that is responsible for developing the overall risk governance framework, recommending its risk appetite, monitoring and reporting on various operational activities to review adherence to various regulatory and investor requirements.

    Prior to joining LoanCare, he served as the Chief Audit Executive and Servicing Risk Officer at Caliber Home Loans where he was responsible for standing internal audit from ground up, developing robust annual risk assessments, conceptualizing RCSA, and developed key risk metrics that were leveraged to build the enterprise risk framework throughout the organization. Prior to joining Caliber, Anshul held various leadership roles within audit and risk organizations at Citibank and JP Morgan Chase within their 2nd and 3rd line of defenses.  Anshul credits his early success as an Audit Manager at Ernst & Young LLP in their Financial Services Advisory practice.

    Anshul graduated from University of Oklahoma with a MBA in Finance and is a Certified Public Accountant licensed in the state of Texas.

    Joe Dombrowski, Director of Product Management, Sagent Lending Technologies

    Joe is responsible for the strategic direction of the servicing software products from Sagent Lending Technologies.  This includes both the LoanServ servicing system and Account Connect for borrower self- service. Prior to this role, he assisted Fiserv clients by providing managerial consulting for loan servicing opportunities. With over 25 years of experience, Joe has a comprehensive background in the industry both in servicing and in technology. He is a member of several national lending advocacy groups, served on MISMO groups, and has written and spoken extensively on servicing topics.  Joe has worked at Mellon Mortgage, Fiserv and is now with Sagent.  He graduated St. Joseph Seminary College, Los Altos CA, with a degree in Philosophy and is also a Certified Product Manager.

    Van Wright is a Credit Risk Analyst at Fannie Mae working in the Collateral Policy and Strategy Department.  He is a certified appraiser with more than 25 years in the profession.  He has worked as a fee appraiser, completing various real estate valuation services.  In recent years, Van has worked in collateral risk management for various institutions, including JP Morgan Chase and CoreLogic.  In his current role at Fannie Mae, Van is responsible for training and consultation with lenders on the Collateral Underwriter™ application and is responsible for management of collateral policy inquiries from lenders and counter-parties.

    Jennifer Link is the Vice President of Caliber Home Loans Financial Crimes and Fraud Investigation Unit, responsible for the Enterprise Fraud Risk Program. Jennifer has led fraud investigation units for several large lenders, specializing in mortgage and employee frauds. As the Bank Secrecy Act/Anti-Money Laundering Officer, Jennifer is responsible for the companies Anti-Money Laundering program. Jennifer leads a team of accomplished investigators. Jennifer is the current MBA Fraud Sub-Committee chair.

    Bill Brewster is Senior Vice President and Quality Director for Enterprise Testing Services at PNC Bank in Downers Grove, Illinois.  In this role, Bill leads teams responsible for testing the bank’s mortgage origination and servicing processes and controls to ensure adherence with internal, investor and regulatory requirements.  Bill has over 30 years of experience in financial services, including senior management positions in quality assurance, compliance, production support, credit policy, underwriting, and fraud investigation.  Prior to joining PNC in July 2012, he directed mortgage fraud investigations and reporting for Fannie Mae.  Bill is a U.S. Air Force veteran, and a former vice chairman of the Mortgage Bankers Association of America’s Quality Assurance and Regulatory Compliance Committees.  He holds BA and MA degrees from the State University of New York at Albany.

    Suzanne Shuck, Executive Vice President and Chief Risk Officer, Freedom Mortgage Corporation

    Susie Shuck has 29 years in the mortgage banking industry, with expertise in the areas of risk management, quality, corporate operations, and internal audit in both publicly traded and privately owned organizations.  Ms. Shuck has been in charge of the Risk Management Division for Freedom Mortgage Corporation for the last thirteen years, previously working in a similar capacity for Irwin Mortgage, which was acquired by Freedom. Ms. Shuck has dedicated her career to promoting best practices in all aspects of mortgage banking and corporate operations, specializing in regulatory, operational, and credit risk, including quality control and ensuring effective, compliant, and sound control environments. She holds both a B.S. and MBA in Business Administration, majoring Finance. She is a graduate of both MBA’s School of Mortgage Banking and Future Leaders Program, & was nominated as one of Housing Wires’ 2016 Women of Influence.  Ms. Shuck has previously attained professional certifications as Certified Internal Audit (CIA), Certificate Risk Professional (CRP), and Certified Bank Auditor (CBA).
