Currently, Dana serves on the Executive Committee at Nationstar Mortgage as EVP of Corporate and Social Responsibility which includes Government Relations, Community Relations and the Office of Diversity. Prior to joining Nationstar, Dana worked at GMAC RESCAP where she managed the REO, Liquidations and Community Outreach teams during the peak of the housing crisis. Dana has held other senior leadership positions at EMC Mortgage, Bank of America Mortgage and Lomas Mortgage. Dana considers one of the highlights of her career to be leading the outreach efforts at HOPENOW from 2008 – 2010 where she traveled across the country talking with hundreds of struggling families. For that work, Dana received the Five Star Institutes Humanitarian of the Year Award in 2009.

    Carlo Porcelli is Senior Vice President, Senior Program Director, for Counterparty Relations for Bank of America. Carlo is primarily responsible for managing the Bank’s mortgage servicing relationship with the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development. Carlo has over 13 years of experience in the mortgage industry. He is active in numerous industry associations, serving as Chair for the Mortgage Bankers Association’s Loan Administration Committee and as a Steering Committee member of the National Mortgage Servicing Association. Prior to joining Bank of America, his main focus was in management consulting and strategic planning, holding positions at Ernst & Young, Nestle USA, and various start-up entities.

    Janice K. Huey, CMB, AMP , Senior Vice President , Wells Fargo Home Mortgage

    JK HUEY is senior vice president of Wells Fargo Home Lending Foreclosure and Asset Management, headquartered in San Antonio, Texas. In her role, Huey is directly responsible for managing all Foreclosure, REO (real estate owned) and property preservation activities for the servicing channel. Huey, a 35+-year veteran of the mortgage industry, joined Wells Fargo in 2009. Prior to joining Wells Fargo, she was the servicing manager at IndyMac Bank and held senior management positions with Washington Mutual and HomeSide Lending. Huey has managed customer service, default management, escrow administration, cash management, investor reporting, acquisitions, and retail production.  Along with being a Certified Mortgage Banker, Accredited Mortgage Professional, a member of the MORPAC and Loan Administration Steering Committees with the Mortgage Bankers Association of America, Huey was president of the Texas Mortgage Bankers Association from 1998-1999 and chairman of multiple committees. She is the recipient of the Young Mortgage Banker of the Year Award in 1992, the Larry E. Temple Distinguished Servicer Award for 2012, and the 2014 Five Star Lifetime Achievement Award. She also has experience on the Black Knight Mortgage Advisory Board, Freddie Mac Servicer Advisory Board, Fannie Mae Customer Advisory Group, and the National Mortgage Servicing Association.

    Jason W. Lane , Senior Vice President , MidFirst Bank

    Jason Lane serves as Senior Vice President for Midland Mortgage, a division of MidFirst Bank. Currently, he leads MidFirst’s policy team, oversees servicing transfers and directs its training department. The majority of his 14 year tenure has involved managing MidFirst’s loss mitigation unit.     Sanjay K. Bhasin has served as President and Chief Executive Officer of the Federal Home Loan Bank of Dallas since May 2014. Under his leadership, the value proposition for members has been strengthened through enhanced products, services, and funding solutions. He also serves on the Council of Federal Home Loan Banks, the trade association for the 11 Federal Home Loan Banks.  Prior to joining the Bank, Mr. Bhasin was Executive Vice President, Members and Markets at the Federal Home Loan Bank of Chicago (Chicago Bank). Mr. Bhasin joined the Chicago Bank in 2004 as Vice President, Mortgage Finance, and he was promoted to various leadership roles throughout his tenure.  Prior to joining the Chicago Bank, he was responsible for managing the interest rate risk associated with Bank One, NA’s mortgage pipeline holdings from 1999 to 2004.

He has served on MBA's Board of Directors for six years, and has served on MBA's Residential Board of Governors (RESBOG) since 2008, including two years as RESBOG Chair. David has participated on MBA's Secondary and Capital Markets, Residential Loan Production and Loan Administration Committees, and as the Servicing-21 Working Group Co-Chair. His uncanny ability to lead the Dallas Cowboys to come-from-behind victories engineered no less than 23 fourth quarter comebacks. After serving his four years in the Navy, Roger played his entire 11 years of professional football with the Dallas Cowboys, leading the team to four Super Bowls and achieving victories in Super Bowls VI and XII. His pro career culminated in his selection into the Pro Football Hall of Fame in 1985, his first year of eligibility.  Staubach has carried over the same winning attitude and traits from his successful football career into his business career. In 1977, Roger entered the commercial real estate industry, forming The Staubach Company. Over the years, he expanded services to meet clients’ ever-changing requirements and grew to 1,600 employees serving 3,000+ clients from 70 North American offices.  In July 2008, The Staubach Company merged with Jones Lang LaSalle, bringing together the unique strengths of two powerful organizations into one integrated global company. Roger is now the Executive Chairman of Jones Lang LaSalle Americas.  Roger and his wife Marianne reside in Dallas. Staubach serves on the board of directors of Jones Lang LaSalle and was the Chairman of the Host Committee for Super Bowl XLV. He and Marianne participate in many community and charitable activities and can be found cheering for their grandchildren at their various sporting events.

Roles have included Post-Closing and Origination Functions as an operations manager. These roles Include but are not limited to Post-Closing Conventional and Government Review Manager, Final Documents Manager, File Vault and Negotiable Collateral Manager. Also, Consumer Direct Operations and Bond Housing Operations functions were also areas managed during her career.  Most recently Melanie went to work for Citizens Bank as the Head of Performing Mortgage Servicing. Functional areas include Cash, Customer Service, File Management, Escrow, Customer Experience Team, MERS Team, Paid Loans, and New Loan Setup. For the last two years Citizens Bank has ranked in the top five for mortgage servicers in JD Power.

    Craig Martin , Director, Mortgage Practice Lead , J.D. Power and Associates

    Craig Martin is a Senior Director and the Mortgage Practice Lead at J.D. Power. He is responsible for the company’s research studies in the mortgage sector, as well as proprietary tracking, consulting and performance improvement initiatives.
    Before joining J.D. Power in 2012, Mr. Martin was vice president, Consumer Deposit Products at BBVA Compass. There, he was responsible for ongoing competitive evaluations of product sets, new product development and development of tools to aid in product sales, including product packages. Prior to BBVA Compass, he was a vice president at Regions Financial Corporation, where he served in various roles in both consumer and commercial lines of business, with a focus on customer experience, research, analytics and strategy. Previously, he was with Infosurv Inc. and Aspect Communications.  Mr. Martin is a frequent speaker at mortgage-related conferences and events. In 2016, he was named by HousingWire Magazine of their Rising Stars that recognizes 50 young leaders energizing the housing economy. He has spoken at various Mortgage Bankers Association events and other industry related gatherings including being a featured speaker multiple times at the National Mortgage News Annual Mortgage Servicing Conference.     Mark Landschulz , Executive Vice President, Performing Servicing, Mortgage Servicing , Flagstar Bank, FSB

    Mark Landschulz joined Flagstar in December 2014 as executive vice president and director of Performing Servicing. In this role he is responsible for the operation and profitable growth of Flagstar’s mortgage businesses relating to the servicing and subservicing of performing loans.  Mark is a A 27-year mortgage finance veteran.  Previously he served as vice president in charge of Servicing at Quicken Loans. Other responsibilities included spearheading Quicken Loans acquisition, investment, and retention strategy for mortgage servicing rights.  Prior to Quicken, Landschulz served as executive vice president of Portfolio Management for Origen Financial, responsible for credit policy, risk modeling, servicing analytics, pricing, loan warehousing, sales, and securitizations. Earlier in his career, he spent several years in various leadership positions at GE Capital Mortgage Services.

    Joel Davis joined Freedom Mortgage in April 2016 as Senior Vice President of Customer Care. In this capacity, he is responsible for improving borrower care and retention in a multi-site contact center environment. Joel brings to this role over 15 years of call center and financial services experience.  Prior to joining Freedom, Joel has held a number of different Executive Leadership roles focusing primarily in the Contact Center space to include organization such as Kaiser Permanente, where he was the Executive Director of Contact Center Operations. Before his assignment at Kaiser Permanente he has held a number of other leadership roles as Senior Director at Walgreens, Senior Vice President at Nationtar Mortgage and Aurora Bank FSB, Vice President at Saxon Mortgage and Assistant Vice President at Washington Mutual.

    Courtney Ehinger is responsible for Performing Servicing at Nationstar Mortgage. She represents companies in the mortgage lending, mortgage servicing, title insurance and real estate industries in connection with administrative and regulatory compliance matters. Krista defends clients subject to government audits, investigations and enforcement proceedings before, among others, HUD, the VA, USDA, DOJ, CFPB and state banking departments in cases involving the False Claims Act, the Program Fraud Civil Remedies Act, Mortgagee Review Board proceedings and RESPA enforcement matters. In his 35 years as a practicing attorney, Mitch has represented banks, mortgage companies, homebuilders, credit card issuers, and other financial service companies in a broad range of litigation and regulatory and compliance matters. He represents clients in investigative and enforcement actions before the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau, Department of Housing and Urban Development, Department of Veterans Affairs, Department of Justice, Federal Trade Commission, Ginnie Mae, Fannie Mae, Freddie Mac, and various state and local regulatory authorities and Attorneys General offices. Mitch speaks frequently on regulatory and litigation matters before trade associations and other industry groups.     Kathy Keller, Managing Director, Regulatory Compliance, at Newbold Advisors LLC, has more than 25 years of experience in the mortgage industry. Kathy has worked on projects across the mortgage life cycle for lenders of all sizes, regulatory agencies and the GSEs. She concentrates on implementation of significant, industry wide changes, including being a member of the team that created the first automated underwriting engine, and assisting Newbold's clients in implementing regulations such as TRID and HDMA.     Ann Thompson is a Senior Analyst and the team lead for mortgage servicing in the Office of Supervision Policy at the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau. Since joining the Bureau in October 2011, she has helped stand up the mortgage servicing supervision program. In this role, she aids the development of the supervision strategy for mortgage servicers. She also provides technical advice on operational and regulatory issues to teams examining mortgage servicers.  Ann previously worked for the Department of Treasury on the Making Home Affordable program.     Aaron Klein previously served as the Deputy Assistant Secretary of the U.S. Treasury Department for Economic Policy and Chief Economist of the U.S. Senate Banking, Housing, and Urban Affairs Committee. In those positions Klein played a major role in the response to the financial crisis, including leading work on housing policy and finance reform on such legislation as the Housing and Economic Recovery Act of 2008, the Emergency Economic Stabilization Act of 2008 (TARP), and the Dodd-Frank Wall Street Reform and Consumer Protection Act of 2010.  A leader in the field of housing and finance policy, with over a decade of senior-level experience, he has served as a consultant and economist in providing clients with expert analysis and innovative solutions. This paper was funded with the support of Community Blight Solutions with the data, research and opinions those of the author. Klein previously directed the Financial Regulatory Reform Initiative at the Bipartisan Policy Center in Washington, D.C.     Ivery Himes currently serves as the Director for the Office of Single Family Asset Management, which is responsible for the servicing of all HUD-held single family mortgages totaling more than $270 billion and the administration of the Department’s $6 billion five-year contracts, used to market and sell FHA’s Real Estate Owned (REO) portfolio.  During her 20+ year tenure with HUD, she has had an opportunity to work on myriad housing issues within various organizations in the Department such as Multifamily Housing, HUD’s Real Estate Assessment Center, Public and Indian Housing, and Single Family Housing. For over a decade, Ivery has served in some capacity as a manager within HUD. Ivery is considered by many as an energetic leader with a proven track record as a turnaround specialist, who gets results. 

    Erik Schmitt , Managing Director , JPMorgan Chase

    Erik Schmitt is the Product Executive for Chase Mortgage Banking. In this role, Erik leads product management for the Firm’s originations and servicing businesses to ensure its products meet the needs of customers, while positioning the mortgage business for long-term success. Previously, Erik led a team responsible for the Firm’s foreclosure prevention and loss mitigation products. In this capacity he worked closely with investors and regulators to influence the future of foreclosure prevention and customer assistance. Erik was also responsible for designing and executing the Firm’s servicing strategy on loan sales and subservicing.  Since joining JPMorgan Chase in 2008, Erik has served in a number of roles throughout the organization.     Michael S. Malloy , Vice President, Servicing , Quicken Loans, Inc.

    Mike Malloy is the Vice President of Servicing at Quicken Loans, the nation’s largest online mortgage lender and second largest retail mortgage lender overall. In this role, Mike leads the servicing business for Quicken Loans with a team of dedicated professionals, all located in downtown Detroit. To date, Quicken Loans has serviced more than one million loans for clients across all investor types, through industry leading service and technology.  Detroit-based Quicken Loans has been ranked “Highest in Customer Satisfaction for Primary Mortgage Origination” in the United States by J.D. Power for the past six years, 2010–2015. The company was also ranked highest in the nation for customer satisfaction among mortgage servicers in 2014 and 2015 – the only years the company has been eligible.  Along with work for Quicken Loans, Mike serves as Past Chairman of the Residential Board of Governors of The Mortgage Bankers Association (MBA), and was previously a member of the MBA Board of Directors and The Financial Services Roundtable’s Housing Policy Council. He is also a member of the North Carolina State Bar, and has been recognized as a member of North Carolina’s “Legal Elite.”  Prior to joining Quicken Loans, Malloy held positions with Bank of America, including Mortgage Policy and Counterparty Relations Executive, Legal Executive for Bank of America Home Loans, and Associate General Counsel-Litigation, among others. At the onset of his career, Mike was a partner in the law firm Parker, Poe, Adams & Bernstein, where he specialized in commercial litigation.

    Pete Mills , Senior Vice President, Residential Policy and Member Engagement , Mortgage Bankers Association

    Pete Mills is Senior Vice President of Residential Policy and Member Engagement at the Mortgage Bankers Association (MBA). In this position, he leads MBA's residential policy team and state and local advocacy program, directs MBA's residential member engagement and recruitment efforts, and oversees business development for industry education and professional development programs under the MBA Education brand. Pete is a regular guest speaker on major policy issues. Mills is an experienced financial services industry executive with 30 years of expertise in public affairs, government relations, public policy and research, all in the housing and mortgage finance arena. Most recently, he served as Managing Director of the Community Mortgage Banking Project, a public policy organization that represents the interests of companies and coalitions involved in the housing and mortgage finance industries.     Prasant K. Sar , Supervisory Policy Analyst, Servicing Policy and Asset Management , Federal Housing Finance Agency

    Prasant Sar directs Single Family Servicing Policy and Asset Management for the Federal Housing Finance Agency. In this role, he oversees loss mitigation policies developed and implemented by Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac. Prasant’s team consists of servicing policy experts that are responsible for the evaluation of loss mitigation programs including loan modification products and liquidation tools such as short sales, deeds in lieu of foreclosure and REO asset disposition. In his capacity, Prasant provides guidance over the implementation of the Enterprise servicing strategies to the Senior Associate Director for Housing and Regulatory Policy. He is currently directing the FHFA’s Future of Loss Mitigation project and oversaw the recent introduction of the Flex Modification.  Prior to this position, Prasant lead FHFA’s efforts to update, expand and align the Enterprises' primary mortgage insurer eligibility requirements and oversaw portfolio disposition strategies that ranged from large scale non-performing loan sales to targeted REO disposition strategies such as Fannie Mae's REO to Rental Transaction and the Neighborhood Stabilization Initiative (NSI). Before joining FHFA, Prasant worked for HUD to pioneer their joint venture non-performing loan sales platform and before that as a Manager with Ernst & Young LLP, Real Estate Advisory Practice. Prasant joined FHFA in 2008.

    Lynn M. Fisher, Ph.D. is the Vice President of Research and Economics, Mortgage Bankers Association (MBA).   In this role, she is responsible for managing MBA's economic and mortgage originations forecasts and developing analysis on issues of importance to the mortgage industry.  Lynn also serves as the Executive Director of MBA's Research Institute for Housing America (RIHA), the Association's 503(c)(3) dedicated to encouraging and aiding - through grants and sponsored research to distinguished scholars, educational institutions, research facilities, and government organizations - the pursuit of knowledge of mortgage markets and real estate finance. Prior to MBA, Lynn served as Associate Professor of Real Estate and the David D. and Carol Ann Flanagan Scholar at the Kenan-Flagler School of Business at the University of North Carolina, and on the faculty at Massachusetts Institute of Technology's Department of Urban Studies and Planning and the Center for Real Estate. At MIT, she was director of the MIT/CRE Housing Affordability Initiative. She received her Ph.D. in business administration from Pennsylvania State University, where she concentrated in real estate finance and microeconomics. She has an MS in business administration and a BA in international politics, also from Penn State. Lynn's academic research has focused primarily on home ownership, housing affordability, and mortgage financing. Her academic work has been featured in American Economic Journal: Economic Policy, The Journal of Urban Economics, Real Estate Economics, and The Journal of Real Estate Finance and Economics.

    Marina Walsh , Vice President, Industry Analysis , Mortgage Bankers Association

    Marina Walsh is vice president of industry analysis in MBA's research and economics department, specializing in industry performance benchmarking for residential lenders and servicers. She has worked in real estate finance for close to twenty years. Currently, she leads the management and direction for the annual and quarterly Mortgage Bankers Performance Reports, the Servicing Operations Study and Forum, the Peer Group Survey and Roundtable Program, the Mortgage Banking Compensation Survey Program and other ad hoc surveys and policy analyses. She is also MBA's spokesperson for the Quarterly National Delinquency Survey.

    In addition, Walsh conducts specialty workshops, symposiums and roundtables on a variety of current topics critical to the mortgage industry and provides program advisory support for several conferences, particularly MBA's Accounting and Financial Management Conference and its National Servicing Conference. She is an instructor for several MBA Education webinars and courses, including the Introductory and Advanced Schools of Mortgage Servicing and the Future Leaders Program. Results of her work have been published in all of the major trade publications as well as national and local newspapers. She is a frequent speaker at MBA and other industry events and conferences.

    Walsh was named to HousingWire's "2016 Women of Influence" list. The list, which is based on nominations from the industry, highlights women who are making significant contributions to mortgage banking and real estate.

    Prior to joining MBA, Walsh was a manager in Ernst and Young's Real Estate Advisory Services Group where her focus was Federal credit program design, implementation and performance measurement. She started her career in the Management Training Program, then subsequently the financial planning division, of the Port Authority of NY & NJ.
