    Samuel Racoosin is a Managing Director and Associate General Counsel at JP Morgan Chase Bank, NA. He is the lead attorney for the residential Loan Servicing performing, customer assistance and default legal teams. He is principally responsible for providing legal advice to the residential mortgage loan servicing business. Before joining JP Morgan Chase, Racoosin was Associate General Counsel at Fannie Mae. In that capacity, he was responsible for providing legal advice to the US Treasury in connection with the Obama Administration’s Making Home Affordable Program. Samuel previously served as Associate General Counsel for Fannie Mae’s single family mortgage business, providing advice on new products, eMortgage initiatives, and loss mitigation. Prior to joining Fannie Mae, Samuel was Associate General Counsel of North American Mortgage Company, a national mortgage banker.

    Jonathan Kolodziej, Attorney, Bradley Arant Boult Cummings, LLP

    Jonathan Kolodziej is an associate in Bradley’s Birmingham, AL office. He represents all types of consumer financial service providers in regulatory compliance, examination and enforcement matters. Through this work, he has assisted bank and non-bank mortgage servicers, mortgage originators, debt collectors, depository institutions, credit card issuers, small dollar lenders, reverse mortgage companies, investment firms, and various industry trade associations.  Over the past five years, a vast majority of Jonathan’s regulatory compliance practice has focused on the CFPB’s mortgage servicing rules in Regulations X and Z. Since the rules were first promulgated, he has helped servicers of all sizes ensure that their operations are in compliance with applicable federal and state consumer financial laws. In this role, he helps clients assess the impact of new rules and regulations and adapt to changes in the regulatory environment. He has also helped many of the nation’s largest servicers navigate CFPB and state examinations.

    Nanci L. Weissgold, Partner, Alston & Bird, LLP

    Nanci Weissgold is a member of Alston & Bird’s Financial Services & Products Group and a co-leader of the Consumer Finance Regulatory Compliance team. She advises financial institutions and financial service providers on issues relating to mortgage lending and mortgage servicing, valuation, and other consumer lending issues as part of her national regulatory compliance practice.  This includes: (i) counseling clients on compliance with state and federal laws that regulate consumer financial products and services, (ii) working with state regulators to obtain approvals, licenses or regulatory guidance, (iii) developing compliance management systems, (iv) performing CFPB readiness exams, defending administrative enforcement actions (including state government audits, single or multi-state examinations, and investigations) and assisting in litigation involving regulatory compliance issues, and (v) representing bank and non-bank lenders and appraisal management companies on valuation issues (including, for example, compliance with appraisal independence requirements under TILA, Interagency Appraisal and Evaluation Guidelines, FIRREA, AIR, ECOA, state AMC, appraisal and real estate broker laws). Nanci is a frequent speaker and presenter at legal and industry conferences and webinars, and has published numerous articles on mortgage banking, valuation and consumer finance related topics. She has been named a Fellow of the American College of Consumer Financial Services Lawyers, and she is peer rated in the Martindale-Hubbell® directory as AV® Preeminent, the highest level of professional excellence. Professional affiliations include Women in Housing and Finance Foundation, primary outside counsel, 2007-2009 and The Conference on Consumer Finance Law, Governing Committee.

    Lauren Campisi, Member, McGlinchey Stafford

    Lauren Campisi joined McGlinchey Stafford in 2005. Lauren is a Member in the firm's New Orleans office and focuses her practice on consumer finance regulatory and compliance matters and litigation. Lauren represents clients who offer a variety of financial services, including national mortgage lenders and servicers, automotive and personal property finance companies, small loan companies, online lenders, and community banks. Lauren has particular experience assisting lenders and servicers with issues concerning the federal Real Estate Settlement Procedures Act, Fair Debt Collection Practices Act, Telephone Consumer Protection Act and Truth in Lending Act. Lauren also frequently advises clients on compliance with state lending and licensing laws and state debt collection laws and regulations. Lauren also represents clients in single party and class action litigation and federal and state enforcement actions.

    Tobias Moon, Partner, Akerman LLP

    Tobias Moon is a partner in Akerman's Consumer Financial Services Practice Group. His regulatory practice focuses on compliance with federal and state requirements related to originating and servicing loans secured by residential real property. He regularly counsels lenders, servicers, investors, and settlement service providers with regard to compliance with various federal statutes and regulations including RESPA/Regulation X, TILA/Regulation Z, ECOA/Regulation B, HMDA/Regulation C, and UDAAP. In addition, Tobias advises consumer financial services companies on complying with CFPB rules and exam readiness. Tobias also advises clients with regard to compliance with state lending and servicing statutes and regulations. Prior to joining Akerman, Tobias served in leadership positions with major U.S. banks for more than six years where he gained practical legal experience in addition to leading compliance and risk management teams.
