    Blake Chavis is the new Assistant Regulatory Counsel in MBA’s Public Policy and Industry Relations group. His work focuses on regulatory interpretation issues, policy advocacy, committee and conference planning and other matters. Prior to joining MBA, he spent four years as an examiner with the National Credit Union Administration. In this capacity he supervised credit unions of varying sizes throughout Michigan, Wisconsin and New York. While at the NCUA he helped draft examiner guidance on regulatory compliance issues and served as a trainer for new examiners.

    Simon Fleischmann, Partner, Locke Lord LLP

    Simon Fleischmann is a partner in Locke Lord’s Litigation Department, a resident in the Chicago office, and Litigation Section Leader for the firm’s Consumer Finance Practice Group. He focuses his practice on the representation of banks and finance companies in class actions and other complex-litigation matters. He also manages a team of attorneys handling loan-level litigation across the country. Mr. Fleischmann has acted as sole or joint lead counsel in cases in California‚ Florida‚ Illinois‚ New York‚ and several other states.     Eric Troutman is one of the country’s prominent class action defense attorneys and is nationally-recognized in Telephone Consumer Protection Act (TCPA) litigation and compliance.     Ms. LeBleu manages regulatory compliance, risk and legal support for the mortgage loan origination business - from the initial marketing of products and services to the time a new mortgage loan funds and boards to the servicing system. This includes day to day support of regulatory compliance matters, issues remediation, credit risk oversight (including QC functions), operational risk oversight, and partnering with the mortgage loan origination business in various initiatives. Ms. LeBleu joined Mr. Cooper in 2013 and is a licensed attorney with 17 years of mortgage lending legal and regulatory compliance experience. Prior to coming to American Express, Brad served in a variety of positions, including General Counsel of Hope LoanPort, a non-profit web portal that aids homeowners at risk of foreclosure, Counsel at the law firm of Relman, Dane and Colfax, which specializes in civil rights and consumer protection advocacy, Assistant Director and Senior Attorney in the Financial Practices Division of the Bureau of Consumer Protection at the Federal Trade Commission, where he worked primarily on anti-predatory lending and privacy issues, and trial attorney at the Department of Justice’s Commercial Litigation Section. Brad started out his career as a law clerk for a federal district judge in the Northern District of Georgia and a litigation associate at the law firm of Squire, Sanders & Dempsey, and also was as a visiting scholar and guest lecturer at the University of Otago in New Zealand.
