She also manages the operations of MBA’s Risk Management Committee. She previously worked at Freddie Mac for 5 years under single family servicing and non-performing loans. There she was responsible for providing support to servicers on fulfilling guideline requirements and managing the default risk within the delinquent and REO loan portfolio.

    Emre Sahingur, SVP Predictive Analytics, VantageScore Solutions, LLC

    Dr. Sahingur leads VantageScore Solution’s deep bench of seasoned data scientists. The team is most recently responsible for developing VantageScore 4.0, which is the first and only tri-bureau credit scoring model to use trended credit data and to leverage machine learning in the development of model attributes to reliably and accurately score those with limited credit histories. Prior to VantageScore, Dr. Sahingur also served as the Chief Risk Officer for Model Risk Management at Fannie Mae in Washington D.C., where he served in several senior risk and analytics roles since 2010. In this role, Dr. Sahingur led a team of 35 risk management professionals, with full accountability for establishing the risk appetite and framework for assessing, measuring and monitoring model risks, as well as independent review and approval of all models used across the enterprise. Dr. Sahingur also held senior positions at Capital One Financial Services, most recently as senior director for credit risk management. While in that role he managed a spectrum of risk- and fraud-related responsibilities across the firm’s $60 billion credit card and unsecured loan operation. Dr. Sahingur received his PH.D. in finance from the State University of New York - Buffalo and an M.B.A. from the State University of New York – Binghamton. He received a Bachelor of Science degree in industrial engineering from Istanbul Technical University in Turkey. Most recently, Dr. Sahingur completed the Executive Development Program at Harvard Business School.

    Robert (Bob) Broeksmit, CMB, President & Chief Executive Officer, Mortgage Bankers Association

    Robert (Bob) Broeksmit is President and CEO of the Mortgage Bankers Association (MBA). Bob is a senior finance executive and corporate officer with a 33-year career in the mortgage sector. He has directed all aspects of lending activities, including marketing, sales, operations, secondary marketing, loan servicing, and default management.  He has also served as a mortgage underwriting expert testifying on many large, high-profile cases.  Prior to joining MBA in 2018, Bob served as President and Chief Operating Officer with Treliant, heading the firm's mortgage litigation support practice and serving diverse financial services clientele including large banks, independent mortgage lenders, community banks, credit unions, and service providers to the mortgage industry.  As a Washington-based financial services consultancy, Treliant's mortgage practice included strategic advisory for executive management and corporate boards; litigation defense, including file reviews, litigation strategy, expert reports, and expert testimony; CFPB examination preparation and implementation of mortgage regulations promulgated by the CFPB and other regulators; and operational aspects of mortgage banking, ranging from origination to servicing and loss mitigation.  Before Treliant, Bob held senior leadership positions in the mortgage business, including fourteen years with Chevy Chase Bank (including after its purchase by Capital One), where he was Executive Vice President and President of its B.F. Saul Mortgage Company subsidiary. Bob also was a Vice President at Prudential Home Mortgage for seven years.  He has overseen annual originations of $9 billion, a balance sheet of $10 billion in residential mortgages, and a servicing portfolio of $20 billion.  He also held positions at Great Western Mortgage, Krupp Residential Mortgage, and The Money Store.  Bob has served as the Chairman of the Mortgage Bankers Association's Residential Board of Governors and as a member of its Board of Directors.  Firms under his leadership have garnered multiple awards for servicing operations excellence, including Freddie Mac's Tier One and Hall of Fame designations. He is a Certified Mortgage Banker (CMB) and a graduate of Yale University.

In her role, Jennifer manages all advice and counsel regarding employment issues, law enforcement, cybersecurity, fraud, mergers and acquisitions, and any legal issues arising under the Bank Secrecy Act or Anti-Money Laundering laws. In August 2021, Caliber was acquired by New Residential Investment Corp. Before joining Caliber in 2015, Jennifer was an associate at Littler Mendelson, P.C in Dallas, where her practice focused on single-plaintiff discrimination and the enforcement of restrictive covenants. Jennifer graduated from the University of Texas School of Law in 2008, with astonishingly mediocre grades. She now lives in Southlake with her husband, two elementary-school aged boys, and two poorly trained rescue dogs. In her free time, she’s a decent astrophotographer and drives around Texas looking for dark skies whenever there is a new moon. Jennifer also enjoys learning to cook new things, and has recently and unfortunately mastered the art of making Cuban bread.

    Shawn Telford currently serves as the Chief Appraiser for CoreLogic. Telford is passionate about driving innovation in the valuation industry. After joining CoreLogic in 2007, Telford successfully led several initiatives to create and implement software as a service and automated risk-based collateral review solutions. Telford is a member of the Appraiser Qualifications Board (AQB) and a past member of the Appraisal Standards Board (ASB). Prior to Collateral Analytics, John spent several years at Fannie Mae where he served as Director of Collateral Technology and Strategy. At Fannie Mae, John's team was responsible for appraisal innovation and risk analytics. Prior to Fannie Mae, John was VP Valuation Strategy for a division of Lender Processing Services.     Jillian White is an 18-year veteran of the appraisal industry, an SRA designated appraiser, and a former NYS Appraisal Board member. Jillian received her BA in Neuroscience and Behavior from Columbia University.  She began her career in appraising as founder and CEO of White Picket Fence Appraisals—­­­ a residential real estate appraisal company based in New York.  Her accolades include Young Entrepreneur of the Year and title as one of Ten Influential Blacks in Westchester County.  In 2016, Jillian joined Better, a digital mortgage provider, as the Chief Valuation officer and the 37th employee (now 8,000+ people).  In 2018, she was named the Head of Collateral and leads a 700-person department that consists of the appraisal, title, insurance and project certification teams.

    Lyle Radke, Director, Collateral Policy Team, Fannie Mae

    Lyle Radke is Director of Fannie Mae’s Collateral Policy team, which establishes and maintains policy standards for appraisals and property eligibility. After obtaining a master’s degree in Geology from Brigham Young University, Lyle began his career in real estate valuation in New Mexico as a fee appraiser. In 2003, he began working for a large mortgage lender where he led their servicing valuation review team and supervised creation of one of the first XML appraisal delivery platforms. Looking for a new challenge in 2013, he joined Fannie Mae to work on Collateral Underwriter and other collateral policy initiatives.

    Don Smith is currently serving as Director of Transaction and Commerce Automation Solutions for LoanLogics®. In this role he is responsible for driving the implementation of features and improvement of the company’s flagship SaaS based platform for loan quality management, LoanHD®. Don leads a team of five business analysts identifying market problems and designing and documenting the solutions, providing LoanLogics' development team with strategic direction and customer-driven functionality. In addition to its data-driven, digital technology and cloud-based functionality for greater quality control, the LoanHD platform includes compliance modules specific to HMDA and TRID. He learned the mortgage industry from 2003 to 2007, including his work as a mortgage banker at American Home Mortgage and serving as trust relationship manager and wealth management advisor at U.S. Bank prior to joining LoanLogics. Don received his J.D. at the University of South Carolina School of Law, and his previous experience in the law has helped him better understand the regulatory landscape while designing solutions for the mortgage industry.

    Amanda Zlato is an underwriting director on the Quality Control (QC) team in Freddie Mac’s Single-Family Risk Management division. She oversees teams that perform QC underwriting reviews and the compliance team responsible for completing anti-predatory lending reviews. She manages the QC client relationship for a national lending segment. Ms. Zlato has 18 years of experience in the mortgage industry and has been with Freddie Mac for 12 years, contributing efforts to quality control underwriting, client management, income and asset innovation, collateral initiatives and impasse resolution. Ms. Zlato holds a B.S. in education from the University of Pittsburgh and an MBA from Saint Francis University.

    I have been in the mortgage industry for 30 years, during this time I have worked in a variety of capacities including sales, however, my main areas of focus have been operations and credit.  I have worked in start-up organizations as well as large lenders, managing teams in excess of 1000 associates.  In my current role as Chief Credit Officer I am responsible for establishing credit policy for the organization as well as analyzing credit risk across all of our channels and products.   In addition to my credit responsibilities, I also lead teams responsible for quality control,  repurchase, appraisal management, fraud, and counterparty risk. When I am not working, I enjoy spending time with family and friends.  I also enjoy traveling and focusing on how to make the world a better place through volunteering with local charities. I earned a bachelor’s degree from Michigan State University.

    Marcia M. Davies, mPower Founder and Chief Operating Officer, Mortgage Bankers Association

    Marcia Davies is Chief Operating Officer for the Mortgage Bankers Association (MBA).  As COO, Marcia is responsible for ensuring cross-organizational alignment and facilitating the implementation of strategic initiatives, as well as maintaining oversight of key organizational priorities. She is also the lead strategist for MBA's external activities, providing leadership, guidance and overall management to the public affairs and marketing divisions. In addition, Marcia provides strategic direction and management of MBA's Conferences, Membership, Education, Information Technology and Office Services divisions. She also provides management oversight to and is a Board member of MBA's Opens Doors Foundation.  Previously, Marcia worked at the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD), as Senior Advisor to the Assistant Secretary for Housing and Federal Housing Commissioner. She directed HUD's industry relations program to strengthen relationships, garner support, streamline communications and resolve policy and regulatory issues. Before joining HUD, Marcia spent 21 years at Freddie Mac, where she held a variety of officer positions in communications, customer outreach, marketing, servicer relations and policy.  Marcia is the founder of mPower - MBA Promoting Opportunities for Women to Extend their Reach - MBA's networking platform for women in the real estate finance industry. Under her leadership, mPower has grown into an engaged community of more than 19,000, providing best-in-class conference and webinar programming, networking events, and online opportunities to stay engaged. Through mPower, more women are positioned to achieve leadership positions and are well represented in all segments of the industry.  Marcia is a member of the NAWRB Diversity and Inclusion Leadership Council (NDILC). She is also a member of Women in Housing Finance and the International Women's Leadership Association. Most recently, Marcia received the silver Stevie Awards for Women in Business 2018 Maverick of the Year. She has also the recipient of Five Star's Laurie A. Maggiano Legacy award, the NAWRB 2018 Industry Revolutionary Award, and the CIFS Diversity & Inclusion 2018 Trailblazer Award.
