    Michael Fratantoni is MBA's Chief Economist and Senior Vice President of Research and Industry Technology. Additionally, Fratantoni is a member of the Board of Directors of MISMO and the membership committee of MERS. Prior to joining MBA, Fratantoni worked in risk management and senior economist roles at Washington Mutual and Fannie Mae.  He received a Ph.D. in economics from Johns Hopkins University and a B.A. in economics from The College of William and Mary, and has served as an adjunct professor at the University of Washington, and Johns Hopkins, George Washington, and Georgetown Universities.

    Bill Cleary, Vice President, Single-Family Credit Risk Loan Quality, Fannie Mae

    Bill Cleary is Fannie Mae's Vice President of Single-Family Credit Risk Loan Quality, reporting to the Senior Vice President and Chief Credit Officer for the Single-Family Business.  Cleary is responsible monitoring loan quality standards to ensure compliance with Fannie Mae’s underwriting and origination standards; overseeing the effectiveness of lender quality controls and providing lenders with timely and actionable feedback to drive continuous improvement in loan quality standards. Cleary’s previous responsibilities included modernizing Selling and Servicing Guide content delivery through Ask Poli, oversight for FHFA scorecard deliverables including servicing alignment efforts across the GSEs as directed by FHFA; establishment of Servicing Guide policy and requirements and review of loss mitigation cases submitted directly to Fannie Mae for approval. Additionally, Cleary led Fannie Mae’s Mortgage Help Centers, oversight of servicer customer service training, and expansion of the Servicing Management Default Underwriter™ (SMDU) platform.

    Ronald Feigles, Vice President, Single Family Quality Control and Fraud, Freddie Mac

    Ron Feigles is vice president of Quality Control and Fraud in the Single-Family Division. He leads quality control activities between Freddie Mac and its clients to evaluate and improve loan quality and is responsible for the team handling fraud case management and suspicious activity reporting. The quality control and fraud investigation teams are located at Freddie Mac headquarters as well as in several states across the country. With Freddie Mac since 2006, Mr. Feigles has over 30 years of experience in all aspects of the mortgage business. Prior to his current role, he oversaw the initial approval and ongoing eligibility oversight of Freddie Mac’s bank and non-bank Seller/Servicers. Before his tenure at Freddie Mac, he led multiple teams responsible for the origination, underwriting, servicing and collection of single-family mortgages. He holds a bachelor’s degree in business administration from Indiana University of Pennsylvania.

    Anshul Aggarwal is Senior Vice President and Chief Risk Officer. In this role, Anshul leads enterprise risk management, information risk, third party service providers, and compliance initiatives as well as responsibilities to identify, measure, monitor, and control risk. Anshul has over 20 years of experience in the banking and consumer finance industry. His expertise includes planning and execution within risk and control frameworks, conducting comprehensive risk reviews, business analysis, process improvements, and leading enterprise risk management. Previously, Anshul served as the Chief Audit Executive and Servicing Risk Executive at Caliber Home Loans where he was responsible for spearheading risk management for both Servicing and Originations platforms. The risk model he developed served as a catalyst for their enterprise-wide risk management framework.

    Meghan Bartholomew, EVP - Credit and Counterparty Risk, Radian Guaranty Inc.

    Meghan C. Bartholomew, EVP Credit and Counterparty Risk Management for Radian Guaranty Inc., is responsible Lender/Servicer Risk Management, Credit Policy, Quality Control and the GSE Relationships. Ms. Bartholomew joined Radian in 2002 as a transaction manager in the Capital Markets department. In this role, she managed the underwriting of bulk mortgage insurance transactions, financial guaranty of asset back securities, and reinsurance of the mortgage insurance portfolio. In 2008, Ms. Bartholomew moved into the Risk Management as a Counterparty Risk Manager, and in 2014, her responsibility expanded to include Credit Risk Management and Quality Control.  Prior to joining Radian, Ms. Bartholomew was a Financial Services consultant for Accenture and worked previously as an analyst for the National Institute of Environmental Health Sciences. Ms. Bartholomew holds a bachelor of science in Chemistry from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill.

    Terri Merlino was recently named a senior vice president within Freddie Mac’s Single-Family business. As chief credit officer for the past two years, Ms. Merlino leveraged her broad-based knowledge of mortgage operations, sales, processing, underwriting, quality control and secondary marketing activities to substantially and positively impact Freddie Mac’s mortgage credit risk management efforts, as well as our client experience. In addition to her prior role managing mortgage credit risk and quality control, she will now assume additional risk management responsibilities. With nearly 30 years of mortgage and financial services experience, she brings significant accomplishments in credit and operational risk management to this role. Prior to Freddie Mac, Ms. Merlino held the roles of chief credit officer and chief risk officer at New Penn Financial. Merlino was a member of New Penn Financial’s senior management team. Before New Penn Financial, she spent many years at PHH Mortgage as senior vice president, credit and operational risk, where she was responsible for fostering a risk-aware culture through her leadership of all aspects of credit and operational risk management. She has served on several industry committees, including Fannie Mae’s Risk Management Forum and Freddie Mac’s Credit Advisory Board, and twice been named a HousingWire Women of Influence.     Dr. Edward Seiler is an economist with over 20 years of experience in financial services. He currently serves as Associate Vice President for Housing Economics at the Mortgage Bankers Association. His responsibilities include performing economic and econometric research to support MBA’s forecasts and policy positions, writing research reports, and supporting MBA’s affordable housing initiatives. Dr. Seiler is also the Executive Director of The Research Institute for Housing America, where he is responsible for managing the research agenda, sponsorships, the publication process, the advisory board, and budgets. He previously was head of research for Dworbell’s affordable and senior housing organizations and Chief Housing Economist at Summit, an analytics advisory firm with a focus on housing finance. Experian Mortgage creates tailored solutions that reduce friction, better manage risk, enable targeted marketing, and support financial inclusion. As the Consumer’s Bureau, we put empowered consumers at the heart of everything we do.  Prior to joining Experian, Allen was responsible for the mortgage analytics and valuation products at CoreLogic, a leading provider of property data and analytics. Earlier in her career, Allen served as a risk management executive at Chase, GMAC, US Bank, and Comerica Bank where she was responsible for the evaluation, creation and execution of risk management protocols. Her responsibilities spanned mortgage, credit card, and commercial lending. During her tenure, she focused on fraud control, collateral risk management, credit risk management, and securitization. Allen is a geek at heart, earning an MBA in International Economics from Indiana University following her BA in Finance from Michigan State University.     Carol Norton joined New American Funding in 2014.  Ms. Norton is a Senior Vice President and responsible for the Servicing Systems as well as the Servicing Transfer/On-boarding team.  Ms. Norton was a primary driver in the build of the Servicing division and servicing transfer of sub-serviced loans back into NAF in 2014.  She has continued to bring technology and automation to the Servicing team. He is a past trustee of the Ohio Land Title Association and is a current member of the Government Affairs Committee of ALTA.  He is former chair of the Real Property Section of the Cincinnati Bar Association, a former director of the Cincinnati Mortgage Bankers Association, a member of the Federal Reserve Bank of Cleveland’s Fair Credit Task Force and a recipient of a special citation from the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development concerning Fair Housing Best Practices.

     

    A native Cincinnatian, he has been a licensed title insurance agent for over 35 years, was an owner-operator of title agencies for 18 years and corporate officer with LandAmerica for over 10 years.  He was EVP of Agency at WFG National Title for 10 years. He joined FNF as SVP in the Agency Division in August of 2020.  He has spoken before many state land title associations, state and local bar associations, MBA, ABA, ALTA, NAR, RESPRO, the National Settlement Services Summit, The Realty Alliance, Leading Real Estate Companies of the World and numerous other groups and classes on the topics of title insurance and compliance.  His many articles have been published in state land title publications, numerous mortgage and title industry trade journals and in October Research publications.  Having worked in all areas of the title industry and with its customers he brings a great depth of knowledge of all aspects of the real estate industry.

    Camelia Martin has over 16 years of experience in mortgage finance technology. As Head of Industry & Regulatory Affairs at Snapdocs, she collaborates with a broad spectrum of industry participants to advance the adoption of digital mortgage closings.  Martin has focused expertise in the use of eNotes (electronic promissory notes), and throughout the course of her career she has led a number of digital mortgage initiatives which directly supported programs for key stakeholders such as Ginnie Mae, the Federal Home Loan Banks, and the Mortgage Industry Standards & Maintenance Organization (MISMO). She also currently serves as a Senior Advisor to MISMO and as Co-Chair of MISMO’s Remote Online Notarization Standards Committee." 

    Teri Hermann, Chief Risk Officer, Evergreen Home Loans

    Teri Hermann directs all risk management and regulatory compliance for Evergreen Home Loans while also overseeing audit management and quality control.  She has previously help positions in underwriting management. A 26 year veteran of the mortgage industry, Teri held positions in finance and banking prior to her 21-year run at Evergreen, and her wide-ranging expertise extends to many areas of the business.

She has over 25 years of experience in mortgage lending in both the mortgage insurance and correspondent lending arenas.
