    Marina Walsh is vice president of industry analysis in MBA's research and economics department, specializing in industry performance benchmarking for residential lenders and servicers. She has worked in real estate finance for close to twenty years. Currently, she leads the management and direction for the annual and quarterly Mortgage Bankers Performance Reports, the Servicing Operations Study and Forum, the Peer Group Survey and Roundtable Program, the Mortgage Banking Compensation Survey Program and other ad hoc surveys and policy analyses.  She is also MBA's spokesperson for the Quarterly National Delinquency Survey. In addition, Walsh conducts specialty workshops, symposiums and roundtables on a variety of current topics critical to the mortgage industry and provides program advisory support for several conferences, particularly MBA's Accounting and Financial Management Conference and its National Servicing Conference. She is an instructor for several MBA Education webinars and courses, including the Introductory and Advanced Schools of Mortgage Servicing and the Future Leaders Program. Results of her work have been published in all of the major trade publications as well as national and local newspapers.  She is a frequent speaker at MBA and other industry events and conferences. Walsh was named to HousingWire's "2016 Women of Influence" list.  The list, which is based on nominations from the industry, highlights women who are making significant contributions to mortgage banking and real estate. Prior to joining MBA, Walsh was a manager in Ernst and Young's Real Estate Advisory Services Group.

    Darnell Peterson has been a Regulatory Associate with MBA since September of 2019. Previous to joining MBA, he developed a background in government affairs and policy analysis as a government affairs research and policy analyst intern at Forbes Tate Partners and the Exelon Corporation. Darnell also has held positions in the financial services industry at both Bank of America and Geico. He has a Masters in Public Policy from Drexel University and a BA in Political Science from Delaware State University.

    John Ondrasik, Singer & Songwriter, Five for Fighting

    Singer-songwriter John Ondrasik has spent the past decade writing deeply personal songs that include social messages, invoke the human spirit and make an emotional connection. With the past six albums by Five For Fighting, the hockey moniker stage name under which he performs, Ondrasik has seen multitudes of successes. Five For Fighting's breakthrough came in 2001 with the Grammy-nominated song “Superman,” and John’s performance at The Concert For New York.

    Ondrasik proceeded to become part of the American songbook with the iconic hit “100 Years,” "World," "The Riddle,” “Chances,” and “What If.” John’s music has been featured in over 350 films, TV shows, and advertisements ranging from The Blind Side to The Sopranos. In 2018 John was the musical voice for the CBS hit show Code Black.

    John has also been deeply involved in supporting our troops. From USO tours, supporting several Veteran oriented charities, and distributing over a million “CD for the Troops” to servicemen and their families around the world. “At the end of the day, it really is about doing your part, each one of us. In whatever area we can. What kind of world do you want?”

    Ondrasik is currently working on a Broadway musical, various television projects, and a new Five For Fighting album while giving keynotes across the country to corporations and various organizations.

    Robert D. Broeksmit, CMB, President and Chief Executive Officer, Mortgage Bankers Association

    Robert (Bob) Broeksmit, CMB became President and CEO of MBA in August of 2018, following a 33-year career in the mortgage sector. He has directed all aspects of lending activities, including marketing, sales, operations, secondary marketing, loan servicing and default management. He has also served as a mortgage underwriting expert testifying on many large, high-profile cases. Prior to joining MBA, Broeksmit served as President and Chief Operating Officer with Treliant, heading the firm’s mortgage litigation support practice. Before Treliant, Broeksmit held senior leadership positions in the mortgage business, including 14 years with Chevy Chase Bank (including after its purchase by Capital One). He also was Vice President at Prudential Home Mortgage for seven years. He has overseen annual originations of $9 billion, a balance sheet of $10 billion in residential mortgage and a servicing portfolio of $20 billion. He is past Chairman of MBA’s Residential Board of Governors (RESBOG) and a member of its Board of Directors.

    Dror Oppenheimer, Senior Advisor to the Assistant Secretary for Housing – Federal Housing Commissioner, U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development

    Dror Oppenheimer joined the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development in December 2018 as a Senior Advisor to the Assistant Secretary for Housing – Federal Housing Commissioner.  In this role, he provides expert advice and counsel on the management of the Federal Housing Administration (FHA)’s $1.3 trillion portfolio of mortgages, including asset management strategies, process improvement and technology implementation.  Mr. Oppenheimer brings a wealth of experience to HUD in leading large mortgage operations, including Underwriting, Investor Reporting, Default Servicing Operations, and REO Operations.  After joining Fannie Mae in 1986, he steadily rose to positions of prominence, including Senior Vice President, Default Servicing Operations from 2015 through 2017.Senior Vice President, National Underwriting Center from 2008 to 2015, and Vice President, Asset Development and Management, from 2000 to 2007.  During his tenure at Fannie Mae, Mr. Oppenheimer led major system and process re-design projects resulting in significant operational and customer service improvements.  He also developed and delivered numerous executive presentations to the Board of Directors, senior management, regulators, and external auditors.

    Michael Drayne, Acting Executive Vice President, Ginnie Mae

    Michael Drayne is currently responsible for overseeing strategic planning, policy and communications at Ginnie Mae. After joining Ginnie Mae in 2011, he spent six years as the head of the Office of Issuer & Portfolio Management, where he was responsible for the management of Ginnie Mae's relationships with the mortgage lenders and servicers who issue securities under Ginnie Mae’s mortgage-backed securities program. A career veteran of the housing finance industry, Drayne spent 18 years in mortgage banking at Chevy Chase Bank, where he served as Vice President and Director of Secondary Marketing. In addition, he was responsible for managing several other operational units for the bank’s nationwide mortgage lending subsidiary. Drayne has presented at numerous industry conferences. He has spoken about the U.S. secondary mortgage markets, and the evolution of the post-crisis housing finance industry and its relation to government-insured lending and the capital markets. He was the author of the 2014 white paper explaining Ginnie Mae’s strategic approach to the post-crisis environment “An Era of Transformation”.

    Andrew Trevayne, Assistant Director for Loan and Property Management, Loan Guaranty Service, U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs

    Andrew Trevayne is the Assistant Director for Loan and Property Management at the U. S. Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) Loan Guaranty Service.  He previously served as the Central Office Servicer Liaison (COSL) on the Loan Management staff.  Andy has been with the VA since April 2000.  He made his way through the VA ranks as a Loan Representative and Supervisory Loan Specialist at the Houston Regional Loan Center before moving to VA Central Office in Washington D. C. early 2008. He served with the 325th Infantry Regiment in the 82nd Airborne Division.  Andy is one of the many veterans employed by the VA. 

    Richard Kane, Single Family Housing Guaranteed Loan Program, USDA Rural Housing

    Richard Kane is a Program and Finance Analyst for the USDA Rural Development’s Single Family Housing Guaranteed Loan Program, which has an outstanding portfolio exceeding $110 billion.  In his position at USDA he is working to build relationships with their mortgage servicing partners and provide clear direction around loss mitigation in an effort to reduce risk and decrease foreclosures across the portfolio. Kane has been working in the mortgage industry for over 20 years in both originations and mortgage servicing.  He joined USDA in early 2015.  Prior to working for USDA he spent 7 years working for Fannie Mae on Treasury’s Making Home Affordable Program (HAMP).  At Fannie Mae he worked with the Nation’s top servicers to implement HAMP and integrate standards across their loss mitigation platforms.  Kane also spent 2 years at Freddie Mac working as a Risk Analyst performing servicing and origination reviews on their non-prime lenders.

    Rick Hill serves as Vice President of Industry Technology at the Mortgage Bankers Association (MBA). In this role, he is responsible for providing leadership to MBA and its membership relating to operational and technology topics faced by the industry, including through the Mortgage Industry Standards Maintenance Organization (MISMO), which he oversees. He is also responsible for developing the content for MBA's Technology Conference and leading all of MBA's technology forums and working groups - both residential and commercial/multifamily - as well as managing technology related content for MBA Education.  Rick most recently served as MBA's Associate Vice President of Industry Technology. Prior to joining MBA in 2010, Rick was the Director of Data Strategy at Fannie Mae where he was responsible for data standards and best practices, data management including the company's data warehouse, and managing the relationship with regulatory agencies relating to information requirements. Before his time at Fannie Mae, he was a senior auditor with Deloitte & Touche.

    Thomas Clerici, Chief Technology Officer and Chief Information Security Officer, Freedom Mortgage Corporation

    Tom Clerici currently serves as the Chief Technology Officer and Chief Information Security Officer at Freedom Mortgage.  He manages all technology services and cyber security functions to include strategy planning, operations, monitoring and enforcement. He works regularly with C-Suite management to understand company requirements for system uptime, availability, throughput, response time and optimized load capacity as well as related security and risk management committees to establish program health, address risks, and continuously supplement the value and health of the program. Previously, Clerici served as the cyber security practice director for Arraya Solutions, where he built the line of business responsible for providing cyber security consulting, solutions and managed services to customers across various industry verticals.  Additionally, he served as a captain in the United States Air Force specializing in cyber warfare and communications for 7 years including assignments in the United States, Korea, Qatar and Afghanistan.  His awards and decorations include the bronze star medal, air force commendation medal, and air force achievement medal.

    Evan Bredahl,  Cybersecurity Engineer, Evan has more than six years of progressive technical experience providing cybersecurity and technology solutions to Intelligence agencies and corporations in a secure and compliant manner. He holds an undergraduate degree in Accounting from Metropolitan State University of Denver and holds Network+, Security+, Amazon Web Services – Cloud Solutions Architect Associate, is a Certified Ethical Hacker (CEH), and is a Trusted Partner Network (TPN) Qualified Assessor.

    Gretchan Francis, Vice President of Specialty Lines Sales, Proctor Financial

    Gretchan Francis serves as Vice President of Specialty Lines Sales at Proctor Financial.  With nearly a decade of service at Proctor, she is responsible for advising clients on specialty insurance including Lender-Placed, Mortgage Impairment and Cyber Liability Insurance.  Prior to her role at Proctor, she was an Assistant Vice President at a regional lender in Ohio.  Gretchan holds the prestigious (CIC) Certified Insurance Counselor designation from The National Alliance for Insurance Education & Research, and the (CyRM) Cyber Risk Manger certification from Associated Risk Managers.  With nearly 15 years serving the financial institution and insurance markets, her breadth of knowledge spans origination, compliance, borrower experience, risk transfer, insurance tracking, and technology that supports servicing.  Ms. Francis earned her undergraduate degree from The University of Mount Union, and MBA from Youngstown State University, and currently resides in Cleveland, OH.

    Marcia M. Davies is Chief Operating Officer for the Mortgage Bankers Association (MBA). Prior to joining STRATMOR in 2016, he held roles in business development and NPS leadership with Velocify (now Ellie Mae). Previous to that, Mike originated loans for RBS Citizens Bank and Wells Fargo.  During his tenure with STRATMOR, Mike has authored more than 40 articles on borrower satisfaction, drawing from MortgageSAT’s rich data set (130,000 surveys from 50+ lenders annually). His monthly articles reach more than 50,000 mortgage industry professionals. Mike is regularly featured on the National Real Estate Post video podcast, which has a following of 175,000+ industry professionals. Mike’s brings unique perspective to how SaaS, mortgage banking, and customer experience optimally work together. Based in Los Angeles, Mike received his Finance degree from Miami University (Oxford, OH).

    Monique Riccobelli serves as the Consumer Loan Servicing Director and Senior Vice President of Huntington Bank.  Her responsibilities include overseeing the servicing of the bank’s performing consumer assets, including mortgages, home equity loans and lines of credit, and indirect auto loans.  She has previously served as the Home Lending Operations Director and her responsibilities included loan processing and closing, consumer assets servicing, and call center sales.  She has been recognized as Housingwire’s 2014 Women of Influence and American Banker’s Most Powerful Team in Banking in 2013.  She has also served as the Chair of Black Knight Financial Services’ Mortgage Advisory Board.  She has a BS in Accountancy from Miami University in Oxford, Ohio and an MBA from Xavier University in Cincinnati, Ohio.  She is a licensed CPA.

    Allison Brown is the Deputy Assistant Director for Servicing within the Office of Supervision Policy at the Bureau of Consumer Financial Protection in Washington, DC.  The office’s primary responsibility is to ensure that policy decisions for supervision are consistent with both the law and the Bureau’s mission.  Ms. Brown has responsibility for the mortgage servicing, student loan servicing, and auto loan servicing areas. Ms. Brown has deep expertise in UDAAP law and other consumer financial laws and regulations.  She has been with the Bureau since April of 2011.  Before coming to the agency, she was an attorney in the Division of Financial Practices at the Federal Trade Commission for over 11 years.  There, she worked on mortgage, debt relief, and other consumer finance matters.

She has worked in real estate finance for close to twenty years. Currently, she leads the management and direction for the annual and quarterly Mortgage Bankers Performance Reports, the Servicing Operations Study and Forum, the Peer Group Survey and Roundtable Program, the Mortgage Banking Compensation Survey Program and other ad hoc surveys and policy analyses.  She is also MBA's spokesperson for the Quarterly National Delinquency Survey. In addition, Walsh conducts specialty workshops, symposiums and roundtables on a variety of current topics critical to the mortgage industry and provides program advisory support for several conferences, particularly MBA's Accounting and Financial Management Conference and its National Servicing Conference.
