    Jeff Naimon is a Partner in the Washington, D.C., office of Buckley LLP, with more than 20 years of experience assisting bank and nonbank financial services providers (and investors in same) with regulatory, enforcement, and transactional matters. He defends financial services companies facing complex examination or enforcement matters before the CFPB, FTC, and federal and state banking regulators, with a focus on fair lending, UDAAP, loan servicing, privacy and credit reporting, debt collection, servicemember protections, and other consumer protection issues. He assists banks and nonbanks (including fintech entities) structure, negotiate, and operate a variety of partnerships, outsourcing programs and other third-party arrangements. Mr. Naimon also assists in negotiating acquisition, capital markets, and servicing transactions.   He serves on the Governing Committee of the Conference on Consumer Finance Law and has authored numerous articles on consumer financial services.

    Nanci Weissgold co-chairs Alston & Bird's Financial Services & Products Group and co-leads the Consumer Financial Services Team. She maintains a national regulatory compliance practice representing consumer financial products and services providers on federal, state, and agency requirements, including valuation and mortgage lending and servicing. Her pragmatism preparing for, and responding to, CFPB, FHA, state, and other administrative actions is highly valued by her clients. Nanci is an American College of Consumer Financial Services Lawyers Fellow and nationally ranked by Chambers USA in Financial Services Regulation: Consumer Finance (Compliance).

    Michael Waldron, General Counsel and Chief Compliance Officer, Community Loan Servicing, LLC

    Michael S. Waldron is the General Counsel and Chief Compliance Officer of Community Loan Servicing where he is responsible for the Compliance and Oversight Department’s management, leadership and direction as well as the company’s overall legal and compliance strategy. Prior to joining Community, Michael was Practice Leader of Ballard Spahr’s nationally recognized Mortgage Banking Group. With over 20 years servicing the industry in a wide variety of legal and compliance-related functions, Michael is known for his ability to navigate the regulatory landscape and build relationships that add value to those with whom he works. Michael received his law degree from Catholic University in Washington, DC, and his undergraduate degree in Government and Law and English from Lafayette College in Easton, PA.

    Krista Cooley, Partner, Mayer Brown LLP

    Krista Cooley is a partner in Mayer Brown’s Washington DC office and a member of the Consumer Financial Services group. She concentrates her practice on federal regulatory enforcement and compliance issues. She represents companies in the mortgage lending, mortgage servicing, title insurance and real estate industries in connection with administrative and regulatory compliance matters. Krista defends clients subject to government audits, investigations and enforcement proceedings before, among others, HUD, the VA, USDA, DOJ, CFPB and state banking departments in cases involving the False Claims Act, the Program Fraud Civil Remedies Act, Mortgagee Review Board proceedings and RESPA enforcement matters. She advises clients about federal and state consumer credit and protection laws and regulations, including RESPA, FHA, VA, USDA Rural Housing Service (RHS) and Home Equity Conversion Mortgage (HECM) requirements. Krista reviews and analyzes existing and proposed business arrangements for compliance with federal and state law requirements and drafts related agreements and disclosures. She performs regulatory compliance due diligence, with particular emphasis on FHA-insured origination and servicing requirements.
