MBA’s State & Local Workshop 2018
The real estate finance industry needs strong and vibrant state and local mortgage banking associations. Just as the national MBA advances the industry's interests in our nation's capital, each state and local organization serves to represent industry priorities in their own state capitals, county seats and city halls.
Each year, leaders and key stakeholders of state and local associations gather to pool their talents, share ideas and compare lessons learned with each other and with the national association. MBA's State and Local Workshop is a unique opportunity for all the associations involved to align their agendas for the year ahead and enhance their value proposition to better serve their members. The Workshop is aligned with MBA's annual advocacy day on Capitol Hill, the National Advocacy Conference, April 24-25, which state and local leaders can easily attend.
I always take away new ideas that I can implement to help me run my state association. I have made great contacts over the years and I know I can pick up the phone and call any of them when I have a question or problem to solve.

Meeting peers, industry professionals and MBA staff has been a great help to me as I have utilized the relationships forged at this event for help in various areas of need for both our association as well as our members directly. The presentations each year bring new insight on critical issues of membership growth and retention, communications, technology. This an extremely valuable event for association managers as well as volunteer-leaders across the country!
