    Karen Buck is Head of Commercial, Retail and Payment Operations for TD Bank. She leads operations supporting the Regional Commercial, Corporate & Specialty and Retail bank. Karen is a Customer-centric leader who focuses on people, process and technology to continue to build the better bank.  Karen's background includes over 25 years of experience in the financial services industry. Her career has spanned 4 countries, 7 cities and 14 different roles throughout various business segments at TD. Before joining TD Bank in the U.S. in 2008, Karen held several leadership positions with TD Mutual Funds, TD Canada Trust and TD Waterhouse Group with assignments in the U.S., Hong Kong and Australia.

    Eddy Perez, CMB, President, Equity Prime Mortgage LLC

    Proud co-founder of Equity Prime Mortgage LLC. Perez is a seasoned professional with experience holding multiple executive level positions. He has personally closed over 3,000 loans since entering into the mortgage business.  As President of Equity Prime Mortgage, his responsibilities include overseeing sales, EPM’s growing diversity initiative, capital markets, finance and marketing.

    David Hrobon, President and Chief Executive Officer, Wintrust Mortgage, a Division of Barrington Bank & Trust Company, N.A.

    David Hrobon, President and CEO of Wintrust Mortgage, a division of Barrington Bank & Trust Company, N.A., an affiliate of Wintrust Financial Corporation (NASDAQ: “WTFC”). With the company since 1994, David is responsible for managing all aspects of the organization. In addition to his duties at the mortgage company, David sits on several Boards and Committees for the WTFC Holding Company and participates in the MBA Consumer Affairs Advisory Council (CAAC) and MBA LO Comp Task Force. An industry veteran since 1985, David has held many sales, mid-management, and senior management positions prior to joining Wintrust. His previous employers include: Medallion Mortgage, Sears Mortgage, Consumer Mortgage, CitiFed Mortgage, and The Kissell Company  Wintrust Mortgage currently employs approximately 1100 employees and lends in all 50 States through traditional retail, consumer direct, and correspondent loan origination channels. Wintrust Mortgage originated $4.4 billion of residential mortgage loans in 2017 and services approximately $7 billion of residential loans. David is an active supporter of the Chicagoland Chapter of Habitat for Humanities and was co-sponsor of the 2017 Habitat Heroes annual fund raising event. David was also awarded the Illinois Association of Mortgage Bankers “Star Award” in 2016 and the “Who’s Who in Chicagoland Real Estate” award by Chicago Agent Magazine in 2014.

    Kristy Fercho, President, Mortgage, Flagstar Bank, FSB

    Kristy Fercho is President of Mortgage for Flagstar Bank, reporting into the President and Chief Executive Officer for the bank. In her role, Fercho is responsible for direction and oversight of all aspects of mortgage and secondary marketing and for the continued expansion of Flagstar’s mortgage business. Flagstar originated $32 billion in home loans in the last 12 months.  Prior to Flagstar, Fercho spent 15 years with Fannie Mae, most recently as senior vice president, customer delivery executive, responsible for the end-to-end strategy and business performance of all single-family customers in the western United States, resulting in acquisition volume of over $300 billion. Her experience in the mortgage industry is broad and deep, covering mortgage originations, fulfillment, risk management, secondary marketing, servicing, technology initiatives and regulation.  Prior to joining Fannie Mae, Fercho worked with PepsiCo for more than eight years, most recently as Director of HR for several corporate functions worldwide. Fercho began her career at Baxter Healthcare with positions in sales, operations, and HR.  Fercho serves on the board of directors of the Mortgage Bankers Association, and was president of the board for Habitat for Humanity, Chicago. MReport recognized her as one of the Top Women in Housing, and Diversity Journal listed her among its Women Worth Watching.

    Susan Stewart, 2019 MBA Vice Chairman, Chief Executive Officer, SWBC Mortgage

    Susan Stewart joined SWBC in 1989 and serves as the Chief Executive Officer of SWBC Mortgage Corporation. Beginning with just 3 employees, Susan has grown the company to the over 615 individuals operating in 39 states with annual sales in excess of 3 billion and a servicing portfolio exceeding 9 billion. Additionally, she has guided the company through multiple acquisitions and the approval process to become an approved seller/servicer for both FNMA and FHLMC, and an approved GNMA issuer. Susan received her BBA from the University of the Incarnate Word. She currently serves as a member of the board of the Mortgage Bankers Association, the MBA’s Residential Board of Governors, and the Open’s Doors Foundation. She is a past president of the Texas Mortgage Bankers Association and the San Antonio Mortgage Bankers. In addition, she was appointed to the Texas Mortgage Industry Advisory Committee by the Commissioner of the Texas Savings and Mortgage Banking Division. In 2009, Susan received the Texas Mortgage Bankers Distinguished Service Award.

    Robert D. Broeksmit, CMB, President and Chief Executive Officer, Mortgage Bankers Association

    Robert Broeksmit (Bob) is President and CEO of the Mortgage Bankers Association (MBA). Bob is a senior finance executive and corporate officer with a 33-year career in the mortgage sector. He has directed all aspects of lending activities, including marketing, sales, operations, secondary marketing, loan servicing, and default management. He has also served as a mortgage underwriting expert testifying on many large, high-profile cases.

    Prior to joining MBA in 2018, Bob served as President and Chief Operating Officer with Treliant, heading the firm's mortgage litigation support practice and serving diverse financial services clientele including large banks, independent mortgage lenders, community banks, credit unions, and service providers to the mortgage industry. As a Washington-based financial services consultancy, Treliant's mortgage practice included strategic advisory for executive management and corporate boards; litigation defense, including file reviews, litigation strategy, expert reports, and expert testimony; CFPB examination preparation and implementation of mortgage regulations promulgated by the CFPB and other regulators; and operational aspects of mortgage banking, ranging from origination to servicing and loss mitigation.

    Before Treliant, Bob held senior leadership positions in the mortgage business, including fourteen years with Chevy Chase Bank (including after its purchase by Capital One), where he was Executive Vice President and President of its B.F. Saul Mortgage Company subsidiary. Bob also was a Vice President at Prudential Home Mortgage for seven years. He has overseen annual originations of $9 billion, a balance sheet of $10 billion in residential mortgages, and a servicing portfolio of $20 billion. He also held positions at Great Western Mortgage, Krupp Residential Mortgage, and The Money Store.

    Bob has served as the Chairman of the Mortgage Bankers Association's Residential Board of Governors and as a member of its Board of Directors. Firms under his leadership have garnered multiple awards for servicing operations excellence, including Freddie Mac's Tier One and Hall of Fame designations. He is a Certified Mortgage Banker (CMB) and a graduate of Yale University.

    Jeffrey T. Majewski, Executive Managing Director, CBRE Capital Markets

    Jeff Majewski is the chief operating officer of CBRE Capital Markets, which combines the firm’s Debt & Structured Finance platform with its Investment Properties sales platform. Jeff has extensive experience in the origination, structuring, placement, closing and servicing of commercial real estate debt for life insurance companies, pension funds, banks, Agencies and Wall Street sources.  Prior to returning to CBRE in 2012, Jeff was the executive managing director of Grubb & Ellis’ Capital Markets Group from 2010 - 2012. During his 31 years of experience, Jeff has worked in every aspect of the commercial real estate finance business, from loan originations and servicing, asset management, and lender and client development, as well as the detailed day-to-day operations of running the business. In addition, Jeff has extensive experience in mergers and acquisitions and the subsequent integration of the acquired operations.  Jeff began his commercial real estate career while at Arthur Andersen, serving as an independent auditor for commercial and single-family home developers located in Houston, Texas.
