    Gary Clark, CMB, Chief Operating Officer, Sierra Pacific Mortgage

    Gary Clark is the Chief Operating Officer of Sierra Pacific Mortgage (SPM), an Independent Mortgage Banker headquartered in Folsom, California. As Chief Operating Officer, Gary is responsible for overseeing Operations, Compliance and Technology for SPM which operates from eight regional centers across the US and currently services in excess of $16 billion for Fannie Mae, Freddie Mac and Ginnie Mae. Gary is currently leading the efforts to modernize the proprietary lending platform used by Sierra Pacific Mortgage including a new consumer portal for retail and a new TPO origination platform update.  Prior to joining SPM Gary served as the President of a regional independent mortgage banker, orchestrating their growth from broker to banker including building a servicing portfolio. In 2014 the company was successfully sold and Gary joined SPM as their COO.  Gary has more than thirty years of experience in all facets of mortgage banking including origination, operations, compliance, technology, construction lending and secondary marketing. He is currently serving as the Vice Chairman of the Residential Board of Governors (RESBOG) of the Mortgage Bankers Association.

    Tracie Hunter, Executive Vice President, Production Business Technology, PennyMac Financial Services, Inc.

    Tracie Hunter is a mortgage banking executive with over 30 years of experience in Operations, Fulfillment, Credit, Business Analysis and Technology. Tracie has been with PennyMac Financial Services Inc for 3 years and spent over 20 years with Bank of America prior to joining PennyMac. Tracie’s leverages her deep mortgage and technology experience to drive technology strategies in alignment with business objectives for PennyMac’s three production channels. Tracie’s role includes deep collaboration and solutioning with Peer groups, IT, GSE’s and Vendor partners. Tracie’s direct areas of management include Program/Project Management, Business Analysis and Solutions, Configuration, User Acceptance Testing and Level 1 Technology support for customers.

    Richard Lang, Vice President, Loan Advisors Strategy and Integration Single-Family Division, Freddie Mac

    Rick Lang is the vice president of Freddie Mac Loan AdvisorSM Strategy and Integration in the Single-Family division. He and his team work with key internal and external business partners to drive alignment between the Loan Advisor product strategy and client needs. His team also works with lenders, as well as their supporting technology providers, to optimize both the technical and process integration of Loan Advisor within their respective operating environments.  Mr. Lang has over 15 years of senior management experience within the mortgage industry. Prior to joining Freddie Mac in 2014, he held a variety executive management positions with both Bank of America and Chase.

    Gabe Minton, Executive Vice President and CIO, Guild Mortgage Company

    Gabe Minton joined Guild Mortgage in 2017 and leads its growing technology and information strategy, positioning the company for future growth. This includes developing next generation platforms and services to continue to enhance Guild’s customer experience and maximize operational efficiencies.  Gabe has more than 25 years of experience in leadership roles with mortgage and technology companies in a variety of settings. He specializes in creating software systems, products and standards and has been responsible for strategy and execution, communications and vendor relations throughout his career.  Prior to joining Guild, Gabe served as senior vice president and chief information officer at PHH Mortgage from 2014 to 2017, where he transformed the information technology division to meet growing regulatory and customer needs for the largest banks.  Gabe also served in senior management, strategy and technology positions with Black Knight’s ServiceLink, Motivity Solutions, Accenture Mortgage Cadence and the Mortgage Bankers Association.     Tony Muoio, Managing Director, Consumer Finance Group, PwC

    Tony Muoio is a Senior Managing Director in PwC's U.S. Consumer Finance group and has over twenty five years of experience with PwC in both audit and advisory capacities. He has more than thirty five years of experience in the consumer finance industry across diverse consumer lending sectors, including mortgage, home equity, credit cards, timeshare and auto. While at PwC, Tony has worked with commercial banks, mortgage banks, investment banks, private equity firms and finance companies.  Recently, Tony has assisted clients in the re-engineering of existing mortgage origination processes to respond to new regulatory requirements and to take advantage of cost savings opportunities from evolving technology.
    During the financial crisis, Tony has led or participated in the administration of several mortgage regulatory remediation projects in the areas of: Compliance Management Systems, quality control, customer service, customer complaints, IT remediation, risk assessment methodology, policies and procedures, and monitoring and testing improvements.  He has authored whitepapers, articles and case studies and regularly presents at key industry, client and PwC forums. Tony also co-leads PwC’s mortgage risk conferences, which include an annual meeting and quarterly webcasts which are attended by senior risk leaders from virtually all the leading mortgage originators and servicers.  Prior to joining PwC, Tony worked on the senior management mortgage team at a top mortgage originator/servicer and a major regional bank. Responsibilities included mortgage production, call center management, risk management and product development.

    Sarah Batangan serves as the Chief Operating Officer at First Guaranty Mortgage Corporation. She is an innovative leader, who draws on 20 years of mortgage experience, coupled with her expertise in critical operational analyses and strategic decision making, to lead the operations, credit risk and marketing groups to success. Sarah is passionate about organically cultivating the next generation of leaders in mortgage and building teams that advocate for a customer first mentality. She provides guidance and vision to those in her organization and encourages them to always lead by example. Throughout her career, Sarah has held a number of leadership positions where she strategically positioned companies for growth thru process optimization implementations resulting in an upwards of 45% decrease in operational expense. He draws motivation from his long standing customer partnerships and the challenge of continuing to provide them salient value in the default mortgage space.  Jarad began his tenure within the technology group at Equator®, formerly REOTrans® presently An Altisource® Business Unit, as one of the earliest members and quickly became a central player in the company’s rapid growth and success.  Previous leadership of account management and large scale implementations provided the subject matter expertise to form deep empathy for the challenges servicers face.     Tim Anderson is SVP of corporate business development for pavaso, Inc. He is responsible for developing product and corporate strategy and strategic partner relationships that enhance and drive adoption of their digital platform and services. Prior to pavaso he was Director of eStrategy and Services for DocMagic.
    He brings over 35 years of industry experience having worked on both the lender and vendor side
    of the business. He has held executive management positions with LPS (now Black Knight Financial Services) , Stewart Title, FreddieMac and HomeSide Lending where he ran the eCommerce Division and worked at technology companies like Microsoft, Dexma and Tuttle Information Services. He was also the original founder of the eMortgage Alliance™ which promoted MISMO standards for delivering legally compliant paperless processes.  He has served on the Advisory Boards of Microsoft and the Housing Roundtable.     Tony Berwald, Business Solutions Director, Greystone

    Tony Berwald is the Business Solutions Director at Greystone.  Tony leads technical strategy, product management, and application development for the Servicing & Asset Management business of Greystone, a leading commercial real estate lending, investment, and advisory firm. He has successfully guided the adoption and maturation of a variety of agile frameworks within multiple teams since joining Greystone in 2013.  Prior to Greystone, Tony Berwald served as the VP of Product at Triton Digital, where he built the product management team and implemented SCRUM. Earlier in his career, Tony spent some fifteen years leading technical consulting engagements for Fortune 500 clients such as IHG, UPS, and Georgia Pacific. Tony graduated with a Bachelor of Industrial Engineering from Georgia Tech in 1998.

    Pranav Kiran (PK) Parekh, Head Discover Home Equity Loans and Senior Vice President, Discover Bank

    Pranav Kiran Parekh (“PK”) is a Senior Vice President with Discover Bank and the head of Discover Home Equity Loans. In this role, he leads all mortgage business functions, including strategy, product design, pricing, marketing, analytics, operations, and technology.  PK was previously Vice President and Head of Marketing for Discover Home Loans from 2013 to 2015 and drove increases in purchase and refinance market share. Prior to that, he launched Discover Student Loans in 2007 and grew it to be the third largest originator of private student loans in the US in 2013. He also held roles in operations strategy for Discover Card from 2003 to 2007.  Prior to Discover, PK was a management consultant for clients in financial services, business process outsourcing, telecommunications, and other industries. Most of his consulting work related to turnaround strategy, profit improvement, and operational efficiency.

    Harry Gardner, Executive Vice President, EStrategies, Docutech

    Boasting more than 16 years of industry experience, Harry Gardner held a variety of leadership positions with some of the industry’s most well known organizations prior to joining Docutech. Today, he serves as Docutech’s executive vice president of e-strategies, assisting in the development of the company’s corporate and product strategy to proactively align with the digital transformation needs of the lending industry.  Outside of Docutech, Gardner has served as vice president of industry technology for the Mortgage Bankers Association and has held various leadership roles at MISMO, including chair of its residential governance committee and a member of its board of directors.

    Jim Krugh is a VP of Compliance for PrimeLending. In his role, Jim is responsible for managing the relationship with Docutech as well as Simplifile for all eClosings. In addition to these responsibilities, Jim is leading the compliance efforts during our conversion to a new Loan Origination system and managing all federal and state examinations for both originations and servicing.  Prior to joining PrimeLending, Jim was a Senior Manager at Deloitte & Touché, where he spent 10 years advising financial services clients on their enterprise-wide business, technology, financial and regulatory risks and compliance approach.

    Dan Richards is an Executive Vice President at Academy Mortgage Corporation where he oversees strategy, innovation, and corporate development. Dan previously oversaw growth at Republic Mortgage Home Loans, who was acquired by Academy in 2014. Dan has been recognized as an Accredited Mortgage Professional (AMP) and an MBA Future Leader by the Mortgage Bankers Association.     David Barkley is business initiatives director for Freddie Mac's Single-Family Strategic Delivery division. His responsibilities include program governance for several Freddie Mac strategic initiatives, including the Federal Housing Finance Agency’s Uniform Mortgage Data Program®. This effort directs Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac to establish industry standards that enhance loan quality.  Mr. Barkley serves as Freddie Mac’s representative to the Mortgage Industry Standards Maintenance Organization’s (MISMO) Residential Governance Committee, and Strategic Planning Committee. He leads Freddie Mac’s Loan Advisor Business Program Office, and participates in the Mortgage Bankers Association of America’s (MBA) MISMO Work Groups.     Jack Kahan is a Managing Director responsible for Residential MBS at Kroll Bond Rating Agency, Inc. He covers all RMBS asset types, including newly-originated prime jumbo loans, legacy performing and reperforming loans, newly-originated agency loans, and resecuritized legacy RMBS bonds.  Prior to joining Kroll, Jack spent seven years in various roles in the U.S. RMBS group at Standard & Poor’s, most recently as a Director and Analytical Manager responsible for newly issued ratings. Along with leading a team of analysts in applying new issuance methodology and ratings, Jack lead and co-authored many of the firm’s RMBS-related criteria and research publications. In addition to his work in structured finance ratings, Jack spent two years as a risk management Senior Associate with Sterling Stamos Capital Management, LP. At Sterling Stamos, he was responsible for evaluating the fund’s hedge fund exposure across the firm’s absolute return and equity focused strategies. In this role, he performed diligence on prospective fund investments and helped to build a comprehensive risk tracking and reporting system, which covered VaR metrics, stress testing, and liquidity analyses.

    Thomas Richardson is the Chief Technology Officer of Redwood Trust. Redwood is a public company listed on the New York Stock Exchange. It is a specialty finance company that has been the leader in Jumbo RMBS over the last 25 years. Thomas joined Redwood in 2014 as CTO. Prior to that, Thomas worked at Bank of America as the CTO of the Home Loan Division. During his career, Thomas has worked across several disciplines of technology leadership at both large and small financial companies focused on mortgage asset creation and management.

    Julia Curran, Director, Product and Client Solutions, American Mortgage Consultants, Inc

    Julia Curran over 30 years' experience in the mortgage industry, with over 15 years in the due diligence arena. Julia joined AMC in 2013, previously holding director and/or vice president level positions on both the vendor and investment bank sides of the residential mortgage due diligence industry.  Julia started her career on the origination side of the business developing systems to automate the originations process and then worked in the secondary marketing, servicing and master servicing areas managing various aspects of each department. She has managed the definition of business requirements leading to system design, development, implementation and maintenance of mortgage origination, servicing, due diligence and quality control systems; initiated and controlled operational reviews of companies that serviced loans for, or were selected for purchase by clients; and created and managed a Master Servicing Department for a major Wall Street firm.     Jamie Woodwell is Vice President in the Research and Economics group at the Mortgage Bankers Association (MBA), where he oversees MBA's research on the commercial and multifamily real estate markets. Jamie's work covers the macro-economy, commercial and multifamily property markets, commercial and multifamily real estate finance, servicing, mortgage banking benchmarking and more. Jamie is an expert on the commercial real estate finance markets and he and his work are regularly cited in the media, on Capitol Hill and in regulatory settings. He is a frequent contributor to Mortgage Banking magazine and other periodicals and a regular speaker at industry events. He has appeared on CNBC, Bloomberg and in other popular and trade press and has testified before the Congressional Oversight Panel for TARP.

    Jamie also leads special MBA projects including its Council to Shape Change and the Council on Ensuring Mortgage Liquidity, and oversees MBA's commercial peer business roundtables including CFOs, CTOs and HR heads. The Council to Shape Change brought together leaders from the single-family and commercial/multifamily finance markets to identify key trends shaping the industry. The group issued its report "Outlook for the Real Estate Finance Industry" in 2006. In 2008, the Council on Ensuring Mortgage Liquidity brought together 23 industry leaders representing MBA's diverse membership who were tasked with determining what a functioning secondary mortgage market should like for the long term. In September of 2009, the Council released "Future Government Role in the Core Secondary Mortgage Market," a framework for government involvement in the single-family and multifamily secondary mortgage markets and a foundation for most subsequent reform proposals.

    Woodwell received his bachelor's degree in economics and American studies from Brown University in Providence, Rhode Island. He earned his master's degree in urban and regional planning from the Graduate School of Public and International Affairs at the University of Pittsburgh.
