    In his executive capacities at Tesla Motors, Blankenship successively served as vice president of design and store development, vice president of worldwide sales and ownership experience, and vice president of worldwide retail. In these roles, he redefined the car-buying experience, and in turn revolutionized the auto industry. Tesla’s Model S was named the Motor Trend “Car of the Year” in 2013, only a year after its introduction. It was the first electric car to ever receive this recognition. Prior to his achievements at Tesla, Blankenship served as the senior executive of real estate at Apple. Recognized as the architect of Apple’s brand-building retail methodology, he formulated and executed one of the most successful retail growth strategies in history. His international “Smart Growth Hit List” encompassed major cities throughout Asia, Europe and North America. Apple also saw a material, sustained increase in sales, profit and consumer loyalty following Blankenship’s focus on reformulation of the consumer experience, the building of brand awareness, and ongoing accessibility to customers. Blankenship has also functioned as a real estate consultant for Microsoft and served as a senior executive for real estate strategy at GAP Inc.     Christopher M. George, Chairman of the Mortgage Bankers Association, is the founder, President and CEO of CMG Financial, a privately held Mortgage Bank, headquartered in San Ramon, California.  In addition to his role at CMG Financial, George has served on the MBA's Board of Directors since 2012, is a member of MBA's Independent Mortgage Bankers Executive Council and MBA's Consumer Affairs Advisory Council, as well as an active member of MBA's advocacy efforts. He also serves as the 2018 Chairman of MBA's Diversity and Inclusion Committee. Additionally, George is past Chairman for California Mortgage Bankers Association and has served on many advisory boards and task forces within the industry.

    Robert D. Broeksmit, CMB, President and Chief Executive Officer, Mortgage Bankers Association

    Robert Broeksmit (Bob) is President and CEO of the Mortgage Bankers Association (MBA).  Bob is a senior finance executive and corporate officer with a 33-year career in the mortgage sector. He has directed all aspects of lending activities, including marketing, sales, operations, secondary marketing, loan servicing, and default management. He has also served as a mortgage underwriting expert testifying on many large, high-profile cases.

    Prior to joining MBA in 2018, Bob served as President and Chief Operating Officer with Treliant, heading the firm's mortgage litigation support practice and serving diverse financial services clientele including large banks, independent mortgage lenders, community banks, credit unions, and service providers to the mortgage industry. As a Washington-based financial services consultancy, Treliant's mortgage practice included strategic advisory for executive management and corporate boards; litigation defense, including file reviews, litigation strategy, expert reports, and expert testimony; CFPB examination preparation and implementation of mortgage regulations promulgated by the CFPB and other regulators; and operational aspects of mortgage banking, ranging from origination to servicing and loss mitigation.

    Before Treliant, Bob held senior leadership positions in the mortgage business, including fourteen years with Chevy Chase Bank (including after its purchase by Capital One), where he was Executive Vice President and President of its B.F. Saul Mortgage Company subsidiary. Bob also was a Vice President at Prudential Home Mortgage for seven years. He has overseen annual originations of $9 billion, a balance sheet of $10 billion in residential mortgages, and a servicing portfolio of $20 billion. He also held positions at Great Western Mortgage, Krupp Residential Mortgage, and The Money Store.

    Bob has served as the Chairman of the Mortgage Bankers Association's Residential Board of Governors and as a member of its Board of Directors. Firms under his leadership have garnered multiple awards for servicing operations excellence, including Freddie Mac's Tier One and Hall of Fame designations. He is a Certified Mortgage Banker (CMB) and a graduate of Yale University.

    Paul Orlando, Executive Vice President and Chief Information Officer - Mortgage Lending, Flagstar Bank, FSB

    Paul Orlando is executive vice president and chief information officer for Mortgage Lending at Flagstar Bank, a position he has held since February 2018. He is currently responsible for all IT initiatives and support for Flagstar’s mortgage line of business focusing on leading their transformation to an end-to-end digital platform.  He has over three decades of mortgage banking and IT experience with a strong background in strategic planning, system and process innovation, regulatory compliance, and financial analysis. Previously, he was with Flagstar for 16 years, ultimately leading mortgage technology and credited with introducing and developing innovative products and systems. He also served as CIO at Home Point Financial and United Shore Financial Services.

    Rakesh Sheth, Senior Vice President and Head, Business Insights and Digital Strategy, Wells Fargo Home Mortgage

    Rakesh Sheth is senior vice president and head of business insights and digital strategy for Wells Fargo Home Mortgage. In this role, he is responsible for providing partners with actionable insights, a metrics and analytics platform, and an integrated, fact-based digital business design and strategy to enhance the mortgage customer experience from origination to servicing. Before joining Wells Fargo, Sheth was head of marketing for Discover Financial Services’ student lending business. Previously, he was head of customer experience and analytics for Discover Card Services and Consumer Bank, and held leadership roles at HSBC North America, GE Capital, NAVTEQ, and McKinsey & Company. Sheth received a B.S. in electrical engineering from Gujarat University in Ahmedabad, India.

Prior to joining Fannie Mae, he was Vice President, Information Security at Fidelity Information Services (FIS) where he had matrixed responsibilities for the FIS enterprise-wide incident response, corporate investigations and threat intelligence programs.

    Brian Magruder, Ph.D, Senior Vice President, SunTrust Bank

    Brian graduated from Iowa State University with a doctorate degree in sociology and statistics. He’s applied his education in the financial industry and high-tech applications since 1993, with a specific focus on mortgage originations technology for the last twenty years. His career has spanned from technical project management, architecture, consulting, system redesign, and delivery management at several major financial institutions. Brian has been with SunTrust for over six years and is currently the Senior Vice President of mortgage originations technology, with responsibilities over retail, consumer direct, correspondent, and capital markets infrastructure and associated applications.

    Aaron Perlis, Executive Vice President and Chief Technology Officer, Walker & Dunlop, LLC

    Aaron J. Perlis, executive vice president and chief technology officer, joined Walker & Dunlop in 2002 as part of the Structured Finance and Equity team. In his current role, Mr. Perlis is responsible for the Company’s Information Technology department with a focus on the strategic implementation of new technologies across the Company and leveraging data to enhance all phases of the business. Mr. Perlis is also a member of the Company’s executive committee.  Prior to his current role, Mr. Perlis was responsible for Walker & Dunlop’s strategic business initiatives, including mergers and acquisitions, as well as new product development. Mr. Perlis was a member of the Company’s team responsible for the acquisition of certain assets from Column Guaranteed in 2009 and worked closely with senior management to successfully execute the Company’s initial public offering in December 2010, the acquisition of CWCapital’s Agency business, and several other acquisitions.  Previously, Mr. Perlis held various roles with the Company’s principal investments group and was responsible for the portfolio management of the group’s investments as well as the due diligence and financial analysis associated with the construction, mezzanine debt, and joint venture financing of investments and acquisitions made by the principal investments group. He has been involved in the acquisition, disposition, and financing of over $2.2 billion of commercial real estate transactions throughout the United States.

    Robert Orkis, Principal, RKO Technical Services LLS

    Bob is currently and Independent consultant covering in all aspects of Mortgage Technology.  Bob’s background includes almost 15 years with GE Capital with their mortgage insurance division.  After GE, Bob joined the mortgage division of Wachovia Bank in Winston Salem, NC as the SVP of Strategic Business Systems.  Following his time with Wachovia, Bob joined First Horizon Bank as the SVP of Servicing Technology.  As MetLife acquired the mortgage arm of First Horizon Bank, Bob joined MetLife in a lead technology role for the “new” MetLife Mortgage Company.  Before joining Fairway, Bob was most recently the CIO of Nationstar Mortgage where he saw the company double in size in less than two years.  Bob Orkis joined Fairway Independent Mortgage in October of 2012 as their new CIO through late 2017. In this role Bob he was responsible for all Information Technology at Fairway.

    Rob Van Raaphorst is the Associate Vice President of Public Affairs at the Mortgage Bankers Association (MBA), where he develops strategic communications plans and oversee specific day-to- day operations, including media relations, of the public affairs team.  Prior to joining MBA, Rob worked at a variety of global and political public affairs firms including Burson-Marsteller, DCI Group and R&R Partners, where he oversaw programs and provided counsel to Fortune 50 companies in the financial services, energy  and telecommunications industries.  Rob is also a former television reporter for ABC News and has worked for Fox Sports Pittsburgh and St. Louis. He holds a Bachelor of Science in Communications from Indiana University of Pennsylvania.

    Andrew Crisenbery, Senior Vice President, Managing Director, Black Knight

    Andy Crisenbery oversees business operations supporting key operations of the company.  As a member of the Black Knight, eLending Solutions executive management team, Crisenbery works to provide leadership in the areas of integrated delivery of Lending Solution services, partners, service quality, corporate and regulatory compliance, business insights and optimization.

    Andy has extensive experience in data and document management technologies and solutions supporting the government and financial services communities.  His main responsibilities involve operational oversight of process and program management, data services, fulfillment, compliance and business operations.  His focus is continued progression of our customer and partner emphasis on operational excellence, evolution of our support services for customers and partners with effective alignment with the company’s direction.  He regularly contributes to industry forums and organizations that define technical and operational standards development supporting the legal, financial and real estate communities.

    Joe is responsible for the strategic direction of the servicing software products from Sagent Lending Technologies.  This includes both the LoanServ servicing system and Account Connect for borrower self- service. Prior to this role, he assisted Fiserv clients by providing managerial consulting for loan servicing opportunities. With over 25 years of experience, Joe has a comprehensive background in the industry both in servicing and in technology. He is a member of several national lending advocacy groups, served on MISMO groups, and has written and spoken extensively on servicing topics.  Joe has worked at Mellon Mortgage, Fiserv and is now with Sagent.  He graduated St. Joseph Seminary College, Los Altos CA, with a degree in Philosophy and is also a Certified Product Manager.

    Erin Barry, Associate Vice President, Legislative Affairs, Mortgage Bankers Association

    Erin Barry is an Associate Vice President of Legislative Affairs at the Mortgage Bankers Association.  In this role, she represents MBA on Capitol Hill, primarily working with Senate Democrats.  Erin joined MBA in May 2018 after serving on the staff of several offices on Capitol Hill over the course of 15 years.  Prior to joining MBA, Erin worked for the Senate Committee on Banking, Housing and Urban Development as the lead Democratic staffer for housing and mortgage finance since 2011. She worked for both former Banking Committee Chairman Tim Johnson (D-SD) and current Ranking Member Sherrod Brown (D-OH).  During that time, Erin helped craft and negotiate the “Johnson/Crapo” housing finance reform package during the 113th Congress, along with other notable work on committee-passed FHA reforms, community lender relief (including SAFE Act and QM/ATR amendments), USDA rural housing programs, and funding for the Hardest Hit Fund.  Before serving on the Banking Committee staff, Erin served on Senator Johnson’s personal office staff and also worked for Representative Dan Boren from Oklahoma. 

    Justin Antonipillai, Chief Executive Officer, WireWheel

    Before WireWheel, Justin most recently served as Acting Under Secretary for Economic Affairs at the US Department of Commerce during the Obama Administration.  In that capacity, Justin led a number of high-priority international efforts around privacy and security. From 2013 until 2016, Justin led the U.S. Negotiating Team in reaching the E.U.-U.S. Privacy Shield with Europe. Among other things, Justin led dialogues with the European Commission, outreach to industry and civil society groups, briefings for Congressional committees and EU Members States, and engagements with the CNIL and E.U. Member State Ministries and Data Protection Authorities. He also testified in the EU Parliament in support of adoption of Privacy Shield. During this effort, Justin led extensive dialogues with European Regulators on the General Data Protection Regulation, as the GDPR was being considered for approval.  In 2016, Director James Clapper recognized Justin with the National Intelligence Medallion.

    Daniel Hoye, Head of Privacy, Citizens Bank

    Dan is the Head of Privacy at Citizens Bank, reporting up to the Chief Privacy Officer, where he has served in a variety of privacy and compliance roles over the past six years. Dan combines eighteen years of experience specializing in privacy, compliance, and risk management both in his time at Citizens Bank, as well as ten years at Deloitte & Touche LLP, where he served a number of global organizations across a variety of industries perform complex risk assessments and regulatory implementations. As the Head of Privacy at Citizens Bank, Dan has built and oversees the Bank’s enterprise Privacy Program. This includes the ongoing monitoring of current privacy risk profiles, as well as the implementation of new and emerging privacy regulations and the resulting impact on the Bank’s Privacy Program and control environment.
