The Mortgage Action Alliance (MAA) is proud to launch its new MBA State and Federal Advocacy Webinar & Fly-In Series—a three-part regional series designed to spotlight the value and impact of the mortgage industry’s annual federal legislative “fly-in” and State and Local Workshop events.

The MBA State and Federal Advocacy Webinar & Fly-In Series brings together state industry leaders to equip members with the knowledge and tools to make a real impact through advocacy. Each session breaks down the essential components of effective engagement:

  • The WHY: Understand why direct advocacy matters—how engaging with policymakers strengthens our industry, builds relationships, and raises your company’s visibility.
  • The WHAT & HOW: Learn how to educate legislators, share your story, and collaborate with peers to influence policy decisions that shape the future of real estate finance.
  • YOUR Role: Discover how to be an active advocate—meeting with lawmakers, sharing local insights, and representing your state’s voice in national discussions.

The series kicks off with a focus on the Southern region, featuring leadership from the Texas Mortgage Bankers Association, who will share first-hand insights on how state and national collaboration strengthens advocacy efforts that directly benefit the mortgage industry.

Unlike a traditional one-way presentation, this interactive webinar invites participants to connect directly with advocacy leaders and peers who are driving change at both state and federal levels. By taking a regional approach, MBA aims to expand engagement, elevate diverse perspectives, and empower members to play a more active role in shaping industry priorities.
