Leveraging GSE Loan Level Data, Part II: Risk Share
Thursday, December 10
2:00 p.m. - 3:30 p.m. ET

Summary
This is the second part of a two-part webinar. The objective of this webinar is to provide a summary of the risk share deals completed by the GSE's. The first part of the series provided an overview of GSE data published in advance of the risk share deals.

Since entering conservatorship, FHFA has mandated that the GSEs reduce the risk exposure to taxpayers generated by GSE credit risk guaranties by transferring this credit risk to the private sector. In response to this mandate, the GSE's have begun a series of risk-sharing initiatives to facilitate private capital stepping in to take the risk exposure. This webinar will provide an overview of the GSE risk-sharing activities to-date, discuss recent structures, and evaluate the performance of certain aspects of the transactions.

Webinar objectives include:

  • A summary of GSE risk share activities
  • An overview of risk share structures
  • Evaluation of recent risk share transactions
