An experienced litigator, Alexander Green focuses his practice on representing banks, loan servicers, automobile lenders, and other financial institutions against alleged violations of one or more of the myriad of laws and regulations governing the financial services industry. He frequently defends clients in individual and class action claims involving the “alphabet soup” of federal laws protecting consumers that seek and obtain loans and other financial services, such as the Fair Credit Reporting Act (FCRA), Fair Debt Collection Practices Act (FDCPA), Truth in Lending Act (TILA), Real Estate Settlement Procedures Act (RESPA), Equal Credit Opportunity Act (ECOA), and Telephone Consumer Protection Act (TCPA). Alex also handles cases related to several state consumer protection laws.

Sanford “Sandy” Shatz is Of Counsel and a member of the Commercial Litigation and Consumer Financial Services practice groups. Based in our Irvine offices, he has been a licensed attorney in California for 30 years, and has litigated cases involving commercial law, real estate, and consumer financial services, focusing on mortgage-related issues, and offered regulatory and compliance advice to clients throughout the country. In 1998, he joined Countrywide Home Loans where he organized and established that company’s California In-House Litigation Group. Sandy focused on mortgage-related litigation and has tried numerous cases to verdict.
A.J. Singleton is General Counsel to and a Member of the law firm of Stoll Keenon Ogden PLLC, with his primary office in Lexington, KY. A litigator by trade, A.J. has focused his practice over the last several years on legal ethics and risk management issues. He is a member of the ABA Standing Committee on Ethics and Professional Responsibility, former chair of the ABA Business Law Section’s Professional Responsibility Committee, an incoming member of the ABA Business Law Section Council, and a member of the Kentucky Bar Association’s Ethics Committee. He frequently lectures on legal ethics and risk management issues, including in presentations specifically designed for in-house counsel.
