Fundamentals of Credit Scores in Loan Origination is designed to provide the ins and outs of FICO scoring, as well as explain the differences of each of the reporting agencies. Attendees, both rookies as well as seasoned mortgage professionals, will learn how to read, interpret and find errors on credit reports. These errors impact costs at closing as well as the ability for the loan to be closed. Participants will be presented with key information that will literally transform the way business is conducted in the area most responsible for a loan not closing.

Credit Scores in Loan Origination II: Improving Credit Scores, Thursday, May 3
Improving Credit Scores in Loan Origination will build on the foundational concepts presented in the first session and give lenders the training needed to help borrowers fix errors, as well as explain the subtle differences of dealing with each of the reporting agencies. Attendees will learn how to efficiently deal with late payments, collections, as well as public records. Participants will be presented with key pitfalls and common mistakes people make when trying to improve the score only to be in worse shape. The ultimate goal is help lenders get every borrower to have their best FICO score possible.
