CMF Technology Council

The Commercial Real Estate Technology Council is an open forum for all MBA members interested in how technology is transforming the commercial and multifamily real estate finance industry. The council brings together a diverse mix of lenders, servicers, investors, technology providers, and industry professionals to explore innovation, share insights, and collaborate on solutions that improve efficiency, enhance risk management, and create value across the CRE finance ecosystem.

The council provides a collaborative platform to:

  • Discuss and evaluate emerging technologies impacting CRE finance, including AI, automation, blockchain, data analytics, and cybersecurity. 
  • Share best practices and lessons learned from technology adoption and implementation.
  • Address common challenges such as data standardization, system integration, and workflow optimization.
  • Foster dialogue between financial institutions, technology providers, and other stakeholders to advance the industry. 
Council Member Requirements and Description: This council is open to all MBA members—from technology leaders and operational teams to business executives and service providers—who are engaged or interested in advancing technology in commercial and multifamily real estate finance.
Meeting Frequency: The council convenes two to three times annually, meeting in person during key MBA events such as the MBA's CREF Convention & Expo and MBA's CRE Servicing Solutions Conference (formerly known as MBA's CREF Servicing & Technology Conference), as well as through virtual sessions focused on timely technology topics.
