MBA and STRATMOR Peer Group Roundtables

Logo - Peer Group Roundtables

Since 1998, the Mortgage Bankers Association (MBA) and STRATMOR Group have jointly conducted the Peer Group Survey and Roundtable Program (PGR). This program creates a forum for participating mortgage banking companies to review their financial results and operating practices in relation to their peers.

What our PGR participants value most about the program:

  • Data analysis as it relates to their business peers, as well as to other peer groups that represent competition
  • Information and interaction that enables senior management to strategically evaluate; rethink; reposition
  • Increased knowledge of the competitive market landscape
  • A forum to share best practices and gain insights
  • The ability to operationalize regulatory change

Check Out What Our Participants Have to Say About PGR...

“The PGR Program provides an excellent framework for baselining our mortgage operations. I always learn something new at the two-day meetings with other banks.” Becky L. Crain, CMB, Senior Vice President, Regions Mortgage

“For nearly two decades, Plaza Home Mortgage has participated in the MBA and STRATMOR Peer Group Roundtable Program. Year in and out—across all different mortgage cycles—we get comprehensive benchmarking data and have in-depth discussions with peers who become invaluable resources even beyond the program.” Mike Fontaine, CMB - Co-President and Chief Operating Officer, Plaza Home Mortgage, Inc.

“The PGR Program has helped us start looking at this business line through a financial lens. It has helped us develop a growth and profitability framework to better baseline and measure the business. I do recommend it today to anyone who asks, especially my peers at community banks.”Paul Peterson - SVP, Director of Mortgage Banking, Glacier Bancorp Inc.
“We have derived great value from our years of participation in the PGR program. The data is excellent and helps us to better understand where our team should focus in order to address gaps in performance. It all comes together at the roundtable meetings where we discuss in detail the various operating models, strategies, and tactics that drive performance. The PGR program fosters a collaborative environment that helps drive further insight into our business.”Alexander Rosenblum, CEO, Axia Home Loans
