LoanScorecard, Irvine, Calif., hired Raj Parekh as digital mortgage strategist, responsible for development and delivery of digital mortgage services to clients.

Parekh has more than 20 years of experience. Prior to joining LoanScorecard, he was vice president of business development with Insellerate. He previously held key executive positions at lead acquisition technology providers LeadPoint and ActiveProspect. Parekh also founded LeadROI, a lead management and mortgage sales automation company, which was acquired by MediaWhiz, now known as the Matomy Media Group Ltd.

Auction.com, Irvine, Calif., promoted Amit Aggarwal to Chief Technology Officer. He will oversee expansion of the technology team as it engages in large-scale enterprise web-based initiatives.

Aggarwal has 16 years of experience in leading, innovating, designing web-based platforms.

JayBlaivasMorrison & Foerster Hires Jay Blaivas as Tax Partner
Morrison & Foerster, New York, hired Jay Blaivas as a tax partner in its New York office. He will provide support to the firm's REIT, Fund Formation, Real Estate and Private Equity practices.

Blaivas has more than 20 years of experience. He comes to Morrison & Foerster after spending the past six years at The Blackstone Group, where he oversaw all tax-related aspects of the Blackstone Real Estate Debt Strategies (BREDS) business, including its draw-down funds, hedge funds and non-traded regulated investment companies, which has originated and acquired more than $30 billion in loans since inception. He also managed all tax-related aspects of Blackstone Mortgage Trust Inc. Previously, he spent 14 years as a tax attorney with New York-based law firms and as a managing director at a Big 4 accounting firm.

Churchill Commercial Capital Inc., Scottsdale, Ariz., hired Bill Tong, as a Vice President and Loan Producer to originate debt and equity positions for commercial property owners.

Tong brings to Churchill a 21-year history in the Tucson market as a senior lender with a wide variety of commercial real estate experience. Prior to joining Churchill, he was a Senior Relationship Manager with Vantage West, a Senior Commercial Lender with Alliance Bank and a Senior Private Banker for Wells Fargo.

FrankObregonLRES Hires Frank Obregon as Commercial Appraisal Manager
LRES Corp., Orange, Calif., hired Frank Obregon to serve as its commercial appraisal manager. He will lead the LRES commercial appraisal department, including management of the team's operations. He will also oversee development of the company's commercial product line and will assist in the identification of business opportunities.

Obregon holds nearly 40 years of experience in the real estate industry. Before joining LRES, he served as director of commercial valuation for PCV Murcor, where he managed the team responsible for the production of appraisal reports and reviews. Prior to that position, Obregon held a regional manager role with Ameriquest Mortgage.

Home Point Financial Adds Joe Griffin, Lynn Collins to Correspondent Lending Group
Home Point Financial Corp., Ann Arbor, Mich., added Joe Griffin and Lynn Collins as Correspondent Institutions Managers.

DavidSearsGriffin has more than 20 years' experience in the mortgage industry; he joins Home Point from First Community Mortgage, where he directed the Correspondent channel. In his new role, he will represent the Institutions Group in Kentucky, Tennessee, North Carolina and South Carolina.

Collins, who will manage the East Texas and Louisiana region, joins the Home Point team from LenderLive Network. She has more than 10 years' experience in correspondent lending, with previously held positions at Stonegate Mortgage and US Bank Home Mortgage.

Promontory MortgagePath, New York, announced three senior-level additions to expand its relationship management and sales efforts, focusing on bank relations, technology and outsourced services opportunities:

Paul Katz joined Promontory MortgagePath as head of bank relations, responsible for expanding the company' presence in the banking and credit union space. He has more than 30 years of experience in business development, state relations, association leadership and public policy. He joins Promontory MortgagePath after serving the American Bankers Association in senior-level positions spanning nearly two decades. Most recently, he was the executive vice president of the ABA State Association Alliance, where he managed the strategic alliance between the ABA and the 50 autonomous state bankers associations. Prior to his tenure with the ABA, Katz held various posts with America's Community Bankers Association and its predecessors.

ScottSteinScott Stein joined the company's technology unit, PromonTech, as regional vice president of sales. He joins PromonTech from Maxwell Financial Labs, where he was vice president of Sales & Business Development. Previously, he was vice president of Sales for Roostify; prior to Roostify, he was executive vice president of Sales for Mercury Network and was also president and CEO of Xetus.

David Sears joined the company's fulfillment unit, Promontory Fulfillment Services, as regional sales director. He joins the company from Gooi Mortgage, where he was a regional account executive. He also held senior-level sales positions with leading correspondent and wholesale lenders including Platinum Mortgage, Plaza Mortgage, Michigan Mutual and Security National Mortgage.

Calyx Software, Dallas, hired David McLeod as National Sales Manager, responsible for the company's sales team and effective sales strategies.

McLeod brings 25 years of sales and management experience to Calyx, having held sales management positions in the automotive, financial services and mortgage industries. Prior to joining Calyx, he was President and CEO of The M.K. Everest Companies (M.K. Everest Mortgage, M.K. Everest Realty and M.K. Everest Homes). He began his career in the mortgage industry as a Branch Sales Manager at Provinet Mortgage Corp. of Minnesota.

Essent Group Ltd. Elect Jane Chwick, Angela Heise to Board of Directors
Essent Group Ltd., Hamilton, Bermuda, announced that Jane P. Chwick and Angela Heise have joined its Board of Directors.

Chwick had been co-chief executive officer of Trewtec Inc., a technology advisory firm designed to help board members and CEOs evaluate technology function in their companies, since September 2014. Prior to this role, she was a partner and co-chief operating officer of the technology division of Goldman Sachs Group Inc., where she was responsible for financial and business planning, technical strategy and ongoing management of an 8,000-person organization until her retirement in April 2013.

Heise serves as president of the Civil Group at Leidos Holding, Inc., a provider of information technology, engineering, and science services in the defense, intelligence, homeland security, civil and health markets, where she is responsible for providing services to U.S. cabinet-level civil agencies and major elements of the public sector across the globe.

Pavaso Names Cheryl Baillis Executive Vice President of Operations
Pavaso, Plano, Texas, appointed Cheryl Baillis as Executive Vice President of Operations, responsible for operational efficiencies and innovation.

Baillis has more than 20 years of experience. Previously, she held several executive management roles within the real estate industry with a concentration in title and settlement services.
