MarciaDaviesMBA COO Marcia Davies Honored with Women in Housing Award
Marcia Davies, COO of the Mortgage Bankers Association, was honored by The Five Star Institute in September as one of five recipients of the 2018 Women in Housing Award.

Davies received the Laurie A. Maggiano Legacy Award, named in honor of the late industry icon, which recognizes women who have powerfully influenced the industry and homeownership nationwide.

"It is a privilege to be given an award in Laurie's name," Davies said. "She served the families and communities our industry touches in different ways."

LauraSherrodLaura Sherrod First Recipient of MBA Markison Achievement Award
The Mortgage Bankers Association awarded Laura Sherrod, Director of Servicing Compliance and Learning Development with AmeriFirst Home Mortgage, Kalamazoo, Mich., with the first annual Ken Markison Legacy Achievement Award at the association's recent Regulatory Compliance Conference.

The award recognizes individuals who have distinguished themselves in pursuit of the Certified Mortgage Compliance Professional (CMCP) certificate and designation, shown dedication to MBA and demonstrated excellence in the regulatory compliance field and the real estate finance industry.

"Laura was not only instrumental in the development of Level I of the CMCP as an active and constructive pilot tester for the Level I courses, she was also the first person to pass Level I of the CMCP and did so with consistently excellent scores," said Steve O'Connor, MBA Senior Vice President of Public Policy and Industry Relations.

The award was established in the name of Ken Markison, following his retirement from MBA in 2017. Markison was a vanguard at educating MBA members and was principle architect behind MBA's Compliance Essentials program, a lasting legacy in member education. He was also nationally recognized as one of the leading experts in government housing regulations and led the efforts for industry input on "Know Before You Owe" or TRID, HMDA, Loan Officer Compensation and countless other regulations.

AnnSongLRES Promotes Ann Song to Senior Vice President of Operations
LRES, Orange, Calif., promoted Ann Song to Senior Vice President of Operations. She currently oversees commercial and residential appraisal operations; her new duties focus on expanding the company's commercial appraisal division and diversifying the company's current product offerings.

Song has more than 35 years of experience in the real estate mortgage services industry. Earlier this year she was recognized as one of HousingWire's 2018 Woman of Influence. Song was also named the LRES 2018 Employee of The Year.

LERETA Adds John Stachowsky to Head Inside Sales JohnStachowsky
LERETA LLC, Covina, Calif., hired John Stachowsky as director of internal sales, responsible for leading the company's inside sales efforts for mid- and mass markets.

Stachowsky has more than 10 years of sales leadership experience in software manufacturing and SaaS. He comes to LERETA from ESRI, where he managed the inside sales team and cultivated collaborative relationships with strategic partners. Prior to ESRI, he spent nine years in telecommunications with AVST, where he led several initiatives focused on organizational structure, customer engagement and customer retention.

RoundPoint Mortgage Servicing Corp., Charlotte, N.C., hired Colleen Winslow as its Chief Human Resources Officer. She will lead RoundPoint's human capital strategy and oversee the Human Resources Administration, Compensation & Benefits, Talent Management & Acquisition, Learning & Development and the Employee Engagement departments.

Winslow has more than 25 years of banking and financial services experience, and has worked for Bank of America, Wells Fargo and Ally Bank, where she served as CHRO.

Fannie Mae Names Manuel ‘Manolo' Sánchez Rodríguez to Board of Directors; Announces Brian Brooks Departure
Fannie Mae, Washington, D.C., announced Manuel "Manolo" Sánchez Rodríguez has been elected to the Board of Directors. He has been appointed to the Strategic Initiatives & Technology Committee and the Nominating & Corporate Governance Committee.

Sánchez served as Chairman and CEO of Compass Bank Inc., a U.S. subsidiary of Banco Bilbao Vizcaya Argentaria S.A., from December 2008 to January 2017. He also served as a member of BBVA's worldwide Executive Committee and was BBVA's Country Manager for U.S. operations from September 2010 to January 2017. In addition, He joined BBVA in 1990 and served in a number of other roles at BBVA prior to becoming President and Chief Executive Officer of Compass Bank in 2008, including as Senior Executive Vice President of Community Banking in 2008, President and Chief Executive Officer of Laredo National Bank (then newly-acquired by BBVA) from 2005 to 2008, and Chief Risk Officer for BBVA Bancomer in Mexico City from 2002 to 2005.

Fannie Mae also announced Brian Brooks, Executive Vice President, General Counsel and Corporate Secretary, left to join Coinbase, a digital currency exchange, as the company's Chief Legal Officer.

Stephen McElhennon will serve as interim leader of legal functions while Fannie Mae conducts a search for a permanent replacement."

Christian Ali Appointed Head of Entersekt's Canadian Operation
Entersekt, Atlanta, hired Christian Ali as its country manager of Canada.

Ali has spent more than 20 years in the payments and digital identity spaces building high-performance technical and business teams and launching payments and authentication solutions in Canada and abroad. His background includes executive roles with Dream Payments, SecureKey, and EnStream.
Entersekt was the first company in the world to launch interactive transaction authentication using the mobile phone. Today, it helps to protect tens of millions of online and mobile users in 45 countries, including the United States.
