JonathanPluzikFannie Mae Names Jonathan Plutzik as Chair of Board of Directors
Fannie Mae, Washington, D.C., elected Jonathan Plutzik as Chair of its Board of Directors. He succeeds Egbert L. J. Perry, who will step down on December 19, following his completion of 10 years of service on the Board.

Plutzik joined the Fannie Mae Board of Directors in November 2009. During his tenure, he has served as Vice Chair of the Board of Directors, Chair of the Risk Policy & Capital Committee, Vice Chair of the Strategic Initiatives & Technology Committee and as a member of the Compensation Committee. Perry has been a Fannie Mae director since December 2008 and was appointed Chair of Fannie Mae's Board of Directors in March 2014.

Plutzik has served as Chairman of Betsy Ross Investors LLC since 2005. He previously served in various positions with Credit Suisse Group for 24 years before retiring as Vice Chairman in 2002.

DaveArdDave Ard Joins Ellie Mae as Senior Vice President of Enterprise Sales
Ellie Mae, Pleasanton, Calif., appointed Dave Ard as senior vice president of enterprise sales. He will manage the enterprise team of account executives and relationship managers responsible for providing digital mortgage technology to the largest lenders across the United States.

Prior to joining Ellie Mae, Ard held various leadership and management roles with First American Mortgage Solutions. Most recently he served as senior vice president of sales and business development. He also led and integrated the partner and channel sales effort across multiple product lines and acquisitions. Before First American Mortgage Solutions, he held roles with CoreLogic, including senior vice president of Business Development, Client Executive and Senior Vice President of Mortgage Analytics. Dave began his career with Intel Corporation.

LoyaltyExpress, Woburn, Mass., appointed Jerry Halbrook as CEO. He takes the helm of newly combined companies LoyaltyExpress, SoftVu and LendingManager. Jeff Doyle and Mary Beth Doyle of LoyaltyExpress, Tim Donnelly of SoftVu, and Wayne Steagall of LendingManager will all be part of Halbrook's leadership team.

Halbrook has 35 years of experience in financial services, including 28 years of mortgage banking industry leadership; for the past 10 years he has focused on technology and strategic platforms.

StevenPatrickGateway Mortgage Group Taps Steven Patrick as Chief Risk Officer
Gateway Mortgage Group, Jenks, Okla., announced Steven Patrick as Chief Risk Officer. He will provide executive oversight to the company's Credit and Risk management teams. His responsibilities will span all efforts in enterprise risk management, compliance and quantitative analytics.

Most recently, Patrick was Managing Director with Everett Advisory Partners, where he counseled clients on implementing risk-reducing strategies, capital raises and solutions to complex funding problems. He has worked extensively in the financial services industry since 1987, starting at Merrill Lynch before moving to Bank of America.

JonForresterJon Forrester Joins Valuation Partners as Vice President
Valuation Partners, Toledo, Ohio, hired Jon Forrester as vice president of valuation services, responsible for overseeing development and deployment of the company's valuation tools, including hybrid appraisals.

Forrester has more than 25 years of experience in valuation technology, real estate reporting and risk assessment. Previously, he was vice president at Mueller Services, a provider of reports, risk assessment and valuations for the insurance and lending industries. For almost 20 years, Forrester also served as director of real property valuation services with Southwest Financial Services.

Cloudvirga, Irvine, Calif., appointed Tim Von Kaenel as chief product officer, responsible for overseeing product strategy, design and go-to-market planning for Cloudvirga's digital mortgage point-of-sale products.

Von Kaenel has more than 20 years of experience with tech start-ups and Fortune 500 companies. Before joining Cloudvirga, he served as chief product officer for loanDepot. Prior to loanDepot, he led startups in the financial services, software and wireless broadcast sectors to several spin-outs and acquisitions as well as two initial public offerings. Von Kaenel co-developed and holds the patents for more than a dozen wireless broadcasting, RFID and information services tools.

NEXT Financial Group Names Jim Brown Business Management Consultant
NEXT Financial Group Inc., Houston, named Jim Brown, Business Management Consultant, responsible for providing in-the-field support to NEXT Registered Representatives. This includes serving as a liaison between independent advisors and the Home Office as well as educating NEXT Reps on industry developments and best practices.

Brown has more than 30 years of experience in the financial services industry, including advisor-facing services with Advisor Group and head of business development with Sagepoint Financial.
