Course Purpose

This course provides a 2 week window for students to take 4 lessons (2 hour each) at their convenience as self-studies. At the end of the 2 week window, there will be an opportunity to meet with instructors (via conference line and screen share) to allow students to ask questions or review materials, as desired. This course is designed for business and technology professionals who are currently (or who may soon be) involved in the consideration, planning, and/or development of a MISMO-based project. The course provides an interactive case study of considerations for preparing and consuming a message. This includes discussions on tool choices, review of business requirements and technical specifications, testing the message, schema validation, using XPATH for mapping verification and several demonstrations. This course uses a real life example to achieve course objectives by leveraging technical specifications prepared by mapping portions of the CFPB Integrated Mortgage Disclosures Closing Disclosure form to version 3.3 of the MISMO Reference Model as developed in Course 2 of the MISMO IGOL core courses. The course will also offer an end to end demo of the artifacts created in the case study.

This course will take place from April 1-12, with students taking four 2-hour self-study lessons at their convenience. Then on April 12th there will be an opportunity to meeting with instructors (via conference line and screen sharing) to answer any questions and/or review materials as desired by students.
