Servicers play a key role in the commercial/multifamily lending cycle. As liaison between the borrower and lender/investor sides of the real estate finance industry, servicers are required to have an understanding of the key concepts related to commercial/multifamily real estate finance.

Commercial/Multifamily Fundamentals examines basic concepts of commercial/multifamily real estate finance. It begins with a look at the various phases of a typical loan cycle. Next, the course describes the parties involved in the creation of new loans. It then discusses property types and characteristics that may impact a property's ability to perform, and ways in which property performance is evaluated. The course then examines the various loan types and features, and their implications during the lending cycle. Finally, guidelines for ethical behavior in servicing are presented.
