Everyone knows a family member, friend, collegue or neighbor that is facing the unthinkable...caring for a critically ill or injured child. Our immediate thoughts go to praying for a speedy recovery, but we often forget about the financial harship a family can face when tragedy strikes.

Ceili was in remission after battling Ewing's Sarcoma in 2013. Sadly Ceili lost her battle with cancer. We extend our deepest sympathies to the Leahy family. In the words of her father "A Great Light Has Gone Out."
Peyton was diagnosed with undifferentiated liver sarcoma and had undergone treatment since June 2015. She had 2 surgeries and chemotherapy. Peyton required 5–6 weeks of radiation. Peyton is a 5th grader at Poolesville Elementary who really likes math and science. No one had an inkling that Peyton was sick until late June when the doctors diagnosed a rare sarcoma of the liver. Peyton was given a 30 to 50 percent chance of survival.
Aleeah was diagnosed with Renal Medullary Carcinoma (stage 4) in 2008. Against all odds she recovered and went into remission for 3 years. She's had 3 lung surgeries and her kidney removed. The cancer returned in 2014. Aleeah had a good quality of life and participated in the Sunshine Kids ski trip in Colorado in the winter of 2016. She endured painful surgery and was a brave and compliant patient. She will be missed.
Camila was diagnosed with a stage four kidney tumor called a Wilm’s Tumor. The cancer has spread to her lymph nodes and lungs. Her treatments include chemotherapy, surgery, and radiation.
