With a career spanning over three decades in the mortgage banking industry, Michael has served in various capacities prior to his current role as the Chief Compliance Officer at Ruoff Mortgage. Before joining Ruoff Mortgage, Michael was the Vice President of Mortgage Compliance at Merchants Bank of Indiana. Prior to that, he served as a Credit Risk Policy Senior at Freddie Mac. He also held positions as a Senior Legal and Compliance Consultant at Mortgage Education.com, Compliance Business Analyst Manager at Stonegate Mortgage Corporation, and Assistant Vice President/Risk Analyst at JP Morgan Chase. Michael is an active member of the Mortgage Bankers Association and the Indiana Mortgage Bankers Association, serving on the Compliance and Education Committees. He holds CMB Certified Mortgage Banker and CMCP Certified Mortgage Compliance Professional Designations from the Mortgage Bankers association and the CRMP Certified Residential Mortgage Professional Designation from the Indiana Mortgage Bankers Association.

Her clients include national and state-chartered banks, national mortgage lenders and servicers, automotive and personal property finance companies, installment lenders, and online lenders. She has also helped clients navigate state lending and licensing laws, as well as state debt collection laws and regulations. She is the current Chair of the Louisiana Bankers Association Bank Counsel Committee.

Wendy Lee is the Managing Partner of LOGS Legal Group. Prior to LOGS, Wendy was the Chair of AMLAW 200 Firm Buchalter's Fintech and AI practice group. She's also served in in house roles as EVP and Chief Legal Officer of Sagent and as FVP and AGC at Washington Mutual Bank.

David Shirk is the managing member of Shirk Law PLLC. He represents financial institutions, retail and wholesale mortgage bankers, lead generators, and software vendors. David advises innovating clients on state and federal regulatory compliance, licensing, originator compensation, and responding to exams or Bureau investigations. Prior to joining LotsteinLegal in 2011, which changed its name to Shirk Law in 2020, David spent 20 years in executive roles at mortgage companies. Including as functional architect of two loan origination systems at three top ten lenders. David is admitted to the bar in ten states. He holds a J.D. and an MBA.
