Brittany Petterson is a member of the House Financial Services Committee and serves on both the National Security/Illicit Finance and Housing and Insurance Subcommittees – and was recently named to a newly-formed committee Task Force on Artificial Intelligence. The first in her family to graduate from both high school and college, Congresswoman Pettersen was elected to Congress in 2022, becoming the first woman to represent the Seventh District of Colorado (after a decade as a member of the Colorado state legislature). Prior to her public service, Pettersen attended the Metropolitan State University of Denver, where she earned a bachelor’s degree in political science.
