This session explores the latest technology advancements to effectively prepare for and recover from these rare frequency, high severity events; risk factors relevant to post-disaster servicing including insurance, servicing advances, inspection, and repairs; and measurement methodologies and best practices to minimize potential natural catastrophe loss.

Kingsley leads the Mortgage Risk Analytics practice at Verisk Extreme Event Solutions. He has held various roles in real-estate finance covering origination, servicing, private equity, and valuation. He has subject matter expertise in climate risk, stress testing, catastrophe modeling, and insurance.

Mike Blair is Executive Vice President and Chief Operating Officer. His “one mission, one team” approach has led to the development of an exemplary operations support team. Blair brings more than 30 years of experience in the mortgage industry to his role with deep expertise in servicing, default, and loss mitigation. He previously served as Chief Administrative Officer for LoanCare, responsibilities included the strategic direction of subservicing technologies. Prior experience includes executive roles with Cenlar and Key Bank.
Scott Giberson serves as Principal of Flood Compliance and Product Strategy and manages the Flood Disaster Protection Act program for CoreLogic Flood Services. Scott currently serves on the Board of the National Flood Association, leads the Association’s legislative committee, and previously served as its Vice President. Scott is serving as a Council Member on the Technical Mapping Advisory Council which reports to FEMA and was established by Congress with Biggert Waters legislation that passed in 2012. With over 25 years of experience, Scott specializes in regulatory issues surrounding flood determinations, the mandatory purchase of flood insurance requirement, as well as policy related to the National Flood Insurance Program and developing climate risk requirements. He consults with industry members and members of related industries on legislative and regulatory developments at a federal and state level related to flood insurance and climate risk. In his role, Scott frequently presents at various conferences, seminars and workshops on topics related to flood insurance requirements and flood mapping issues. He also speaks on matters related to claims or actions arising out of the flood determination guarantees and has contributed to the research around this body of law. Scott graduated from The University of Texas at Austin.
David P. Madigan is the President of the Risk-Based Housing Insurance business unit at Assurant where he oversees the lender placed insurance, manufactured housing, voluntary homeowners, condominium and antique auto business lines. As President of the Risk-Based Housing Insurance business unit, Madigan is responsible for all activities of the businesses including sales and marketing, client relationships, underwriting, product and service offerings, product pricing, contracting, account management, industry relations, compliance, and business growth initiatives. In addition to his role as President of the Homeowners business, Madigan is also a member of the Board of Directors for American Security Insurance Company, Standard Guaranty Insurance Company and Voyager Indemnity Insurance Company Prior to being named President of the Homeowners business in November of 2022,. Madigan held numerous senior management positions at Assurant including President of the lender place insurance business and President of the Assurant Insurance Agency. Madigan holds property and casualty insurance licenses in over 40 states and holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Finance and a Master of Business Administration in Marketing from the University of Florida.
