Joe Marino is a seasoned entrepreneur and industry leader with over 15 years of experience building teams, shaping strategic vision, and driving innovation across multiple successful ventures. As Co-Founder and CEO of Varro, he oversees all operations, product development, and long-term growth, while leading the creation of industry-first solutions that have transformed property inspections and financial reporting in commercial real estate finance. Leveraging more than a decade of relationships in the commercial real estate sector, Joe has built a technology-driven platform that enhances data transparency, streamlines workflows, and connects key stakeholders across the mortgage ecosystem. A recognized thought leader and active member of the Mortgage Bankers Association, he contributes to industry advancement through collaboration, including serving on the MBA Technology Council. Amy Blackman, MAI, is a regional managing director at Apprise, a Walker and Dunlop company, and is based in Atlanta, Georgia. In this role, Blackman leads valuation assignments across primary and secondary markets throughout the East Coast. Her work supports lending and reporting needs for Agency and institutional clients, including Freddie Mac and Fannie Mae programs, life companies, CMBS lenders, and balance sheet lenders. She also has extensive experience providing valuations for annual financial reporting. Blackman has more than 20 years of commercial real estate valuation experience. Since 2014, she has specialized primarily in multifamily assets, including garden and mid-rise apartments, urban high-rise and mixed-use properties, fractured condominiums, affordable housing, and student housing. She also serves as Apprise’s national student housing practice lead and has overseen nearly 200 student housing appraisals since the firm’s launch five years ago. Prior to joining Apprise, Blackman served as a valuation services director at Colliers International and as a valuation specialist at CBRE.
Mark Driscoll serves as Senior Director in Fannie Mae’s Multifamily division.
Justin Thomson joined Freddie Mac in 2015 and leads the Real Estate Services team within Freddie Mac Multifamily. His team provides technical assistance and training and supports due diligence requirements across the loan lifecycle—from underwriting through servicing—including appraisals, property condition, environmental, and construction. He also oversees Freddie Mac-conducted inspections, evaluating asset conditions as well as the quality of servicer inspections. Justin holds a degree in Construction Management from Brigham Young University and a Master of Public Administration from The George Washington University. He is a Project Management Professional (PMP) and a LEED Green Associate.
