George Rogers


Vice President of Legislative Affairs

George Rogers is Vice President of Legislative Affairs. In this role, he is responsible for advocating on behalf of MBA's legislative and policy priorities on Capitol Hill, with a primary focus on Republican members of the United States Senate. Rogers is a strategic government affairs executive with 26 years of federal and state experience. With deep policy expertise, great government contacts, and expert procedural skills, George specializes in outmaneuvering the opposition.

Prior to rejoining MBA in 2023, Rogers was a multiclient lobbyist for a decade, including his work for MBA from 2016 to 2023. Prior to his corporate work, Rogers spent nearly fourteen years in key leadership roles in the U.S. Senate and U.S. House of Representatives, including serving as a senior Policy Advisor and Counsel to the Speaker of the House and to the Minority Leader. Rogers also served as General Counsel of the Committee on Rules, as Oversight and Investigations Counsel for the Government Reform Committee, and as a Legislative Assistant to the Chair of the Senate Foreign Relations Committee. .

Prior to DC, Rogers was the Deputy Chief Counsel for the Indiana State Senate leadership. Before that he was an attorney in private practice and a deputy prosecutor who founded the first Sex Crimes & Domestic Violence unit in his hometown. Outside of his professional ambitions, Rogers is passionate about karate. He is a 6th degree blackbelt and has a passion for scuba diving.

Rogers earned a Juris Doctor from Indiana University School of Law and holds a Bachelor of Arts in Foreign Affairs from Miami University in Oxford, Ohio.
