About the Event
School of Mortgage Banking III, the culminating course in MBA's School of Mortgage Banking series, emphasizes long-term strategic planning within the mortgage banking industry. Through hands-on training, you'll gain expertise in planning and forecasting future business operations. You'll not only be introduced to critical planning elements but also explore how various conditions and situations impact the planning process. During the class, you'll compete against teams to develop the most creative yet realistic strategy for a simulated company using an advanced computer model. This model will simulate several economic quarters with varying conditions, all with the goal of restoring profitability. By applying the learned concepts, you'll develop a successful business plan while practicing effective management of diverse skills and personalities within a small team. The course culminates with a presentation of your strategy and results to a simulated "Board."
SOMB III concludes with a graduation ceremony on the final day awarding successful participants their AMP designation. (Successful completion of SOMB I, II, and III results in your AMP designation.)
