About the Event
Introduction to Commercial/Multifamily (CMF) Real Estate provides a comprehensive overview of the concepts that shape how CMF properties are owned, valued, financed, and transferred. Strengthens foundational knowledge and examines the real estate principles that impact property owners, lenders, servicers, and other market participants.
The course begins with Foundations in Commercial/Multifamily Real Estate, an introduction to real and personal property, property classifications, and the income and expense characteristics unique to CMF real estate. Participants then explore Commercial/Multifamily Ownership and Land Use Considerations, including legal limitations, restrictions, and common ownership structures used in CMF transactions. Building on this foundation, the course examines Commercial/Multifamily Real Estate Lending, covering financial markets, borrowing options, lending platforms, key industry participants, and the CMF lending process.
The course concludes with an overview of Commercial/Multifamily Conveyance and Legal Documentation, including deeds, mortgage instruments, financing agreements, and ownership records used in CMF transactions.
