Michael O’Connor is Executive Vice President/General Counsel. He leads a team of legal and regulatory specialists across all functions at LoanCare. His experience in Legal, Operations, Regulatory and Legislative issues guides executives in an ever-changing landscape Previously, Michael was Chief Legal Counsel of Mortgage for PNC Bank and BBVA Compass Bank, covering a variety of issues. During his 22 years in private practice, Michael advised most of the major mortgage lenders in the Southeastern United States. He served as General Counsel to the Mortgage Bankers of Alabama for over 20 years and has been active in the Mortgage Bankers of America since 1989.

Aaron is a partner in the Birmingham office of Bradley Arant Boult Cummings LLP and a member of the firm’s Banking and Financial Services Practice Group. He represents a number of financial services companies, including mortgage originators and servicers, student lenders, money transmitters, and banks. Although his background is in litigation, he has developed a significant level of experience with state and federal laws governing financial services companies and often assists his clients with compliance and licensing issues.
He has extensive experience representing financial institutions in a wide range of regulatory examinations, investigations, and enforcement actions brought by myriad government agencies. In addition, he counsels banks and other financial services companies on bank and consumer finance issues, and advises boards and executive management on regulatory expectations, new products and services, and corporate governance. During his more than two decades of practice, he has represented many of the country’s leading financial services companies in precedent- setting matters. Mr. Previn represents national and state banks, mortgage originators and servicers, credit card issuers, fintech companies, and other providers of financial products and services in matters initiated by the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau (CFPB), Office of the Comptroller of the Currency (OCC), Federal Deposit Insurance Corporation (FDIC), Department of Justice (DOJ), Federal Trade Commission (FTC), and U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD). He also has an active state regulatory and enforcement practice, representing clients in matters before state attorneys general and state banking regulators, including the New York Department of Financial Services and the California Department of Financial Protection and Innovation, as well as multi-state groups such as the Multistate Mortgage Committee (MMC).
