Amber Christman serves as a Director responsible for client relationships and strategy within the Scores Mortgage and Capital Markets team. Before joining FICO, she spent two years in management consulting at Alpha FMC, focusing on strategy. Earlier in her career, Amber held various roles in marketing, client operations, product management, and business development in the Asset Management sector at BlackRock, Barclays Global Investors, and AllianceBernstein. She earned a degree in Accounting from Saint Mary’s College of California.

Shawn Telford currently serves as the Chief Appraiser for CoreLogic. Telford has been active in the real estate appraisal industry since 1993 and has deep experience in mortgage lending, collateral management and valuation technology. Telford is passionate about driving innovation in the valuation industry. After joining CoreLogic in 2007, Telford successfully led several initiatives to create and implement software as a service and automated risk-based collateral review solutions. Telford is a member of the Appraiser Qualifications Board (AQB) and a past member of the Appraisal Standards Board (ASB). Telford holds a M.B.A., a MS in Computer Information Systems, and a BS in Business Management.

John Herdering leads the Collateral Risk Management department at Citizens, where he serves as Senior Vice President and Chief Appraiser. With extensive experience in mortgage lending and valuation strategy, John oversees residential appraisal operations, regulatory compliance, and risk mitigation initiatives. He is a Certified Residential Appraiser with over 25 years experience, holds the Accredited Mortgage Professional (AMP) designation and has a BBA from the University of Cincinnati in Finance and Operations Management.
Jeff brings over 35 years of expertise as a professional real estate appraiser, based in Southern California, he holds certified residential licenses in 10 states. Jeff oversees the development and refinement of valuation analytic and automated review tools. He actively engages with industry stakeholders' government entities, and policy makers to drive innovation, education, and diversity to the appraisal profession. An alumnus of Cal State Fullerton University, holding a bachelor’s degree in finance, and the MBA from the University of Redlands. Jeff also holds the SRA and AI-RRS designations from the Appraisal Institute.
Mike Scarpa serves as VP of Property Risk Management at Freedom Mortgage, one of the largest VA and FHA lenders in the country. With extensive experience in real estate appraisal, secondary, and primary markets, Mike has oversight of valuation post close quality control, vendor quality, appraiser monitoring, and SME of appraisal related issues and topics. Mike is a certified appraiser with more than 29 years of experience. Prior to joining Freedom Mortgage, he spent nearly a decade working at Fannie Mae’s Loan Quality Center. Mike holds a BA in Organizational Leadership and Certificate in Data Analytics from Arizona State University.
