The first step in implementing a benchmarking process involves identifying requirements that are imposed on a servicing operation by external entities. Among the external influences driving a company's benchmarking process are federal and state statutes and regulations, industry standards and best practices, and international laws, regulations, and standards (where applicable).

External CMF Benchmarking Requirements examines some of the external requirements that influence servicing operations. The beginning of the course looks at the federal and state statutes and resulting regulations that impact commercial/multifamily servicers. Next, the course identifies some industry standards and best practices that may influence day-to-day servicing operations. Finally, the course discusses international laws, regulations, and standards and explains how these may affect servicing.

This is a commercial/multifamily course.
