The Insurance Department describes some of the keys to successful insurance servicing. It also examines the specific tasks performed by the insurance department. It then looks at the events that trigger exceptions in the process and explores the actions servicers can take when the lender does not receive an acceptable policy at renewal time. The course also presents the items that servicers check to determine whether a policy is acceptable. Lastly, duties and functions performed by both large and small insurance departments are presented.
