MBA's CREF Private Credit Council brings together industry professionals to exchange insights, discuss best practices, and explore the evolving role of private credit in commercial real estate finance. As one of the fastest growing segments of the capital markets, private credit provides flexible financing solutions outside of traditional bank lending. The Council serves as a forum for members to stay ahead of market dynamics, share perspectives on challenges and opportunities, and build meaningful connections across the industry.

Meeting Frequency: The Council meets virtually once a quarter, offering members regular opportunities to explore commercial real estate market dynamics, exchange views on market trends, and connect with peers across the private credit investment community.
What You Missed – Private credit company leaders gathered for their quarterly Private Credit Council meeting on Wednesday, June 17th, to discuss to the CLO market as well as the current state of the economy.
Ben Weinberger, Managing Director at Limekiln Real Estate and Mark Fogel, President & CEO of ACRES Capital engaged in a conversation covering topics including CLO issuance and the role of leverage in private credit. MBA Chief Economist, Mike Fratantoni, PhD., discussed the indicators of the market and where they could be heading. He also discussed recent geopolitical events and how they have and could continue to have implications moving forward.
