Kim Newell, CMP, CEM

Kimberly M. Newell, CMP, CEM, is Vice President of Meetings Logistics and Sales at the Mortgage Bankers Association (MBA), responsible for overseeing the strategy and execution of conferences, exhibits, and sponsorship programs. Since joining MBA in 2003, she has advanced through leadership roles spanning meetings, logistics, and sales—driving growth in sponsorship revenue and enhancing member engagement.
Newell has served on the board of the Washington, DC Chapter of the International Association of Exhibitions and Events (IAEE) and currently serves as president of her homeowners' association. Prior to MBA, Newell held senior roles at GES Exposition Services and the Helicopter Association International, where she led national exhibit programs and international trade show logistics.
She holds a Bachelor of Arts in Public Administration from the University of Central Florida and maintains certifications as a Certified Meeting Professional (CMP) and Certified in Exhibition Management (CEM).
