Peter Grace is Chief Administrative Officer (CAO) and Senior Vice President
(SVP) of Industry Education and Technology, and Strategy at the Mortgage
Bankers Association. As CAO, he directs Strategy, Operations, IT, Finance,
Legal, Human Resources, and the MBA Opens Doors Foundation. In his role
as SVP of Industry Education and Technology, Peter oversees MBA
Education, where he is responsible for business development, content
programming, design, and delivery. MBA Education is charged with
providing continuing education for industry professionals in both the
residential and commercial/multifamily fields. In addition, he directs MBA’s
Industry Technology efforts, which includes support for technology-related policy and advocacy
activities, as well as technology content development responsibilities for MBA conference and
webinar programming. In this role, he also serves as the MBA representative on the MISMO Board of
Directors.
Grace came to MBA in 2012 from the Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD), where he served as Chief of Staff for the Acting Deputy Secretary on matters related to the Department's operational management. He also provided leadership on HUD's Transformation Initiative, a multiyear, multifaceted organizational change program. Prior to joining HUD, Peter was Associate Commissioner of the Office of Strategic Planning, Technology and Research at the New York City Department of Housing Preservation and Development. He began his career at Accenture, where he advised companies in the telecommunication industry on organizational strategy and transformation.
Grace received a bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering from the University of Notre Dame. He also has a master's degree in public administration from the Robert F. Wagner Graduate School of Public Service at New York University.
