Christy Soukhamneut, CMB

Christy Soukhamneut, CMB, is a financial services executive, board director, and strategic advisor with more than 30 years of experience leading growth, transformation, and innovation across the mortgage, banking, credit union, and fintech sectors. She has built and scaled complex lending platforms, led large P&Ls, and driven enterprise change at some of the countries largest banks and lending institutions. Her career began in a family-owned mortgage company — giving her a rare, ground-up command of the industry that spans origination, capital markets, secondary marketing, servicing, and national strategy. She holds the Certified Mortgage Banker (CMB) designation, the industry’s highest professional credential, earned by fewer than a thousand professionals nationwide. 

Today, Christy advises financial institutions and fintech companies through her consulting firm, Somboune Enterprises, and as a senior advisor with the Stratmor Group, partnering with organizations to navigate market disruption, accelerate growth, and modernize their operating models. A governance leader and nationally recognized industry voice, she has served on the boards of Voxtur, TRAiNED, Halcyon, and the Beneath the Surface Foundation, and has contributed to the MBA’s Residential Board of Governors and the Freddie Mac Advisory Board.
